Welp, they removed the tracker in a location based....tracking....game. Good one Niantic, Pokémon hunting in GO just had to be more random didn't it?

Bio

Roleplay topics of interest: Pokémon is a big one. The canon of the main series games specifically, though I'm cool with a few select points from the anime thrown in. I'm also a big fan of the Mystery Dungeon universe. I'm good with RP'ing as a Trainer, but I can handle playing a Pokémon too. I prefer to have alot of interactions between the characters in an RP. I enjoy to flesh things out and give my character actual 'character'. Original worlds? Eh, I'm ok with as long as I got alot of background to them.

Recently, I've been in the mood to try RP in other series/fandoms, so if I can be sold on an idea, I'll probably look into it. Let it be known that I'm not into anything 18+ or sexual in nature. It's just not my thing.

Roleplay style: For each post that I make, I write about a paragraph or two. I try to include a bit of environmental detail, physical character detail, and sometimes delve into the mind of my characters to see what they think about the situation at hand. I'm trying to get better at expressing my characters emotion through body language since I tend to run out of descriptive words after a few posts. Most of my characters will most likely be teen aged or occasionally young adult. I also try to keep my characters male, but I can play a girl well enough.

Timezone: I feel this is an important thing to mention. My timezone is EST (GMT/UTC-5). During pretty much every month of the year baring July, August, and the later half of December, I'll be going though school during the week. So I'll most likely be able to get posts out on the weekends or later in the day when I get home.

The cautious and extremely werided out young man froze up when he felt the paw touch his back. His face twisting uncomfortably as he looked away at the trees. What is she doing?....Is she....Trying to help cover for me?....Wow. Her AI must be extremely complex...And it's weird I...actually feel her hand, er, paw,..on my back?....I'll try to play along, but I don't know if we'll be able to pull this off....Especially if that mammoth wants me dead with no provocation.

In order to play along with the attempted ploy, Delsin assumed a much more relaxed stance and went to rub at the forming goose egg on his head and wear a pained wince on his face. "Right...I-I haven't been able to really...think straight ever since I got attacked..." Holding out the grey and white device, he pretended to look at it with a mix of confusion and disgust. "I found this little thing on the ground in the woods, and when I picked it up, I got hit in the head by some sort of weird Digimon I didn't recognize...Maybe one of those humans Susanoomon is hunting? I don't know, but they really cared about this thing. When I tried saying sorry and giving it back, they just kept trying to hurt me. S-So I ran off in a daze, and managed to meet up with Renamon...Luckily."

Dropping the tiny device on the ground near his feet gently, he sighed and hung his head. "I think that 'human' thing is still running around attacking other Digimon. So a safe place to stay would be nice, until I can think clearly."

.....Please let this work. Carrick said that using speech checks in open world RPGs like this usually works pretty well...
Devon Lyton
Shock the Ampharos, Cyan the Marill, Quill the Monferno, Missy the Mismagius, Nasir the Zoroark, Ace the Starly
[Forest Beyond Route 701]

@Ninian
The happy chirp and confirmation from the resident translator caused the proud Trainer to laugh a bit and his smile to brighten even more as he gave the newly dubbed Ace a few pets on the head near his crest feathers. "Haha! Awesome! Glad to have ya on the team Ace! My name is Devon, and I promise, I'll take great care of you, and teach you how to how to kick some major butt in battle!"

Gently setting the tiny Starling Pokémon back on the grass before him, Devon reached into his pockets to grab the rest of his Poké Balls and toss them into the air above his head. "Guys! Come on out and meet our new buddy; Ace!" One by one, the aerial spheres popped open in a brilliant show of white lights. A Marill, a Mismagius, and a Monferno appeared before the trio and smiled as they all crowded around the little Flying-type to give their greetings.

The Aqua Mouse Pokémon of the three did a quick spin on her tip toes as she beamed at the Starly. <Hello! I'm Cyan! Nice to meet you Ace!>

The Magical Pokémon hesitantly hovered near the base stage mon, lacing her ribbon-like arms and giving the bird a polite bow and naturally crooked smile. <Greetings, Ace. I am Missy. I hope that you are comfortable with...Being captured by a Trainer. I can assure you, that life with Devon will be much more enjoyable than living on your own in the wild.>

The Playful Pokémon was the last one to speak up. The Monferno crossing his arms as per usual and giving a nod and slight smile to their new friend. <My name is Quill. Pleased to meet you, Ace.>

And finally, the Light Pokémon chimed in with his own late introduction. Quite literally sliding into Ace's field of view and giving a dopey grin. <And I'm Shock! You stick with us kiddo, and we'll make you into a total badass! Just you watch! You'll be taking down Gym Leaders left and right once you train up!>

The crimson hoodied teenager crossed his legs and let his arms rest in his lap, his collection of five Poké Balls resting in the space between his legs being idly rolled around by his right hand as he relaxed and watched his party converse. "We can just chill here for a bit, then we gotta get some training in guys. Got a big battle coming up soon and we all gotta be ready."

Looking behind his shoulder in the direction of the Pokémon Center, he smirked. "We're gonna take on Brooks, and we're gonna give him a fight he'll never forget."

[Route 701 - Pokémon Center]

@Ninian@Ophidian@Shiny Keldeo
The sliding glass doors of the high tech medical facility flew open with an electronic whoom sound, the sounds of many feet of all shapes and sizes following along after it as the scarred teenager with a Starly on his shoulder and a crowd of mon behind him grinned at his friends as he walked towards them. "Hey guys! The Starly hunt went great! This is our new friend, Ace! He's really got a knack for battling too! Ain't that right little dude?" The boy chimed as he panned his gaze over to the bird.

Delsin and Rena may or may not be in deep shit at the moment.

[Digital World - Sector 14]

@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo
The fox's strange reaction to both his question, and recalling of what a human was caused Delsin to shift uncomfortably. Taking a step back and clutching the device in his hand to his chest and developing a disturbed frown. "I already did wish I wasn't here....Your demeanor isn't helping sway that opinion."

I don't know who the hell put me in this...Virtual Reality game or whatever it is, but it isn't funny. It's irritating. I still have that chemistry paper to finish, and I should help Trevor clean up that glass before he ends up hurting himself....Question is, how do I get out of here? These things seem like they're not gonna break character, so if I want any useful help, I need to find some sort of options menu... Looking down at the small radio-like object in his palm, he sighed. Maybe it's one of the apps on this device? This all started after I picked it up, it should be related somehow...

Then, a booming voice echoed out through the trees as the lost human boy tilted his head up to narrow his eyes at the beastly, mammoth-like creature threatening Renamon. Perfect...I assume this is one of the enemies of this game. The last thing I wanna do is die to it and re-spawn in another random area... Looking down at the device again for a second, he looked back up with furrowed brows. ...Especially if this is one of those games where you lose your inventory upon death....Gotta be careful about this.....A speech check maybe?

The dully dressed teenager continued to walk backwards as he addressed the hulking enemy with a deep scowl on his face. The position of his footing suggesting he was prepared to bolt at a moments notice. "Renamon is neutral and that hasn't changed. She's not 'conspiring' with me, I just asked where I was and got my answer. That's all I needed, and I'm not going to bother her, or anyone else again. I'm not taking part in your idiotic war game, and I defiantly don't have time to waste with you. I'm finding my way out of this crazy simulation."

With those strong words said, the teen went back to backing up into the trees, albeit at a faster pace than before. His eyes still trained on the two 'NPCs' before him.

Devon the Totodile
[Folio Town - Eastern Residential District]

@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo
The crispy Totodile's happy smile began to dip into a frown as Ember explained her phobia of large get-togethers. Devon was silent for a few moments as he thought over the Quilava's predicament, shaking his head and sighing as the smile came back. Albeit a bit smaller this time. "If you're ok with crowds, what's stopping you from being in a crowd with your friends?" Gesturing to himself, he went on. "Look at me, I'm actually really scared of being noticed in any sort of crowd. But I still went, and I had a good time. If it's being the center of attention that you're scared of, we'll make sure to tell everyone not to focus on you. Besides..."

Looking over at Lilisette, he grinned toothily. "It's easier to handle when your friends are with you." His brown eyed gaze flicked back to the fire badger. "If you don't want to go, we won't force you Ember. We won't force Selena either. I just think it'd be alot more fun if all of Team Horizon were there for the first dinner."

Letho the Sableye
[Folio Town - Glyph's Guild]

A purple imp-like creature barring a gold pinned messenger bag and head hung low trudged towards the Dining Hall. Staring at his feet as he traversed the candle-lit halls. This is gonna blow....Should I get it over with now? Or wait until dinner's over?....Ugh. Whatever. Time to look good for the crowds.

A sigh seeped through Letho's sharp fangs as he approached the hall entryway. The Sableye stood up straight, and put on the most convincing, toothy grin that he could as he stepped through the door. Throwing his hands up in the air enthusiastically as he called out. "Heeey everyone! Ya didn't start the party without your ol pal Letho right!?"

A collection of paws, hands, and claws went up in the air to wave at and cheer in greetings to the Ghost as he walked through to room towards an empty seat. High-fiving a few of his fellow Guild mates before a red, feathery arm suddenly reached out and grabbed him by the neck. "And where have you been ya creepy little shit? You usually ain't this late for crashing parties! What gives!?" The Blaziken exclaimed as he locked the poor Darkness Pokémon in a headlock. Not that Letho minded, for the jewl covered mon simply snickered and attempted to struggle out of the bird's hold. "Unlike you Furno, I actually go for the challenging missions. You really should try it sometime. I bet it gets pretty boring walking old Pokémon across the street eh?"

A few snickers played out from around the Fire-Fighting type as he simply grinned and began to noogie the imp. "You think I don't pull my own weight around here? You're lying out your ass! Let's see your wimpy little arms try to bust through some rocks during a cave-in, way down in the depths of Travega Cave! Then you can talk to me about challenge!"

The two shared a hearty laugh, though Letho's was a bit more forced as he took a few quick glances at the large green dragon at the end of the table lost in conversation with the Dance Troupe's leader. This might take awhile....

[A Forest Somewhere]

@Ninian
The student slowly lowered his arm upon seeing that what he was doing wasn't a common gesture in the so called 'Digital World'.
..If...If this is some sort of different world I'm dreaming up, then I should have probably known she wouldn't know what a handshake was....B-But is it really a dream? Usually pinching myself or something along those lines wakes me up, but I just smacked my head with this radio thing earlier and it felt....Totally real....Please just give me some straight answers weird fox thing....

A look of worry spread across the boy's slightly tanned face, brows furrowing in what looked to be stress. "Ok...Renamon. So there's only you...'Digimon' here in this...'Digital World', and it's a safe assumption that the 'Digi' in Digimon is short for for digital..." Looking up into the somehow sentient computer entity's odd icy eyes, a sentence so ridiculous it was hard to formulate left Delsin's lips. "You don't know what a handshake is...Or a human, but do you know what a computer is? Programs? Executable files? Data? From the place that I came from, you, and this entire world would be impossible to even exist unless you were some sort of...Computer simulation."

Noticing things got a bit wordy, the teenager sighed and put his head down. "I'm...Sorry if none of this makes sense to you. I'm just trying to find out where I am, and what's going on."

[Forest?]

@Ninian
The quite accurate definition recited by the humanoid fox caused Delsin's stare to intensify. ....That sounds like something ripped straight out of a dictionary.....Maybe it's some sort of representation of something from my mind? I don't really remember having any other dream where that would manifest as a...humanoid...fox woman-This is way too strange.

As if the rest of what the creature said wasn't confusing enough, that last question left the normally smart teen completely lost. His mouth hung open comedically for just a second before he closed and struggled to come up with some sort of intelligent answer. "I'm not a...'Digimon'. I'm a human. I'm also not from anywhere around here, so I don't have any affiliation, or want to be involved in a civil war. I read enough about them to know that no one ever 'wins' one without heavy losses, and more often than not they're idiotic and pointless."

Glancing down at the small, grey and white device clutched in his right hand, the lime eyed boy reached his hand out towards the strange yellow furred biped. "My name is Delsin Grey...I assume you're one of those 'Digimon' that you mentioned? Do you have a name?"
I can read it just fine. You're good dude. :D

[Forest?]

@Ninian
The walk didn't do much for the normally level headed teenager as he continued along in the random direction he had chosen. His eyes drifting through the flora around him as he searched the back of his mind for possible clues that the plant life could give him for determining where exactly he had ended up. Oak.....Ironwood....Some lilies and daffodils....These are all plants that grow throughout most of North America....There's also some sort of fruit tree growing there....The strangest thing is, I haven't seen any animals yet. This place should be teeming with them when there's all of these resources around...

Looking down at the small screened device in his hands, he bit his lip and pressed at one of the directional buttons. The small handheld simply did the same thing as before: Scroll to the next screen in a set of three he had been able to work so far. This one housed a simple digital clock, which showed the time as 6:28 PM. That's only about twenty minutes after I last checked the clock on my computer...This thing isn't gonna tell me if this place is in a different time zone. An old walkie-talkie wouldn't be able to sync up the clock with an internet connection....Not like there is one in the middle of the woods anyways.

Then the next screen, what appeared to be some sort of compass. The pixelated needle moved and spun in the same motions that a real one would, and indicated each cardinal direction. This seemed to bring a small bit of comfort to the worried boy, the frown on his disturbed face softening a bit. This should help...I'm glad I held onto this....I'm not completely lost.

The feminine voice that called out to Delsin caused him to look up from the tiny device in his hand stop dead in his tracks. His lost look of dread turning into something more akin to an uncomfortable grimace. .....Is that a bipedal fox? And did it just speak to me in english? The sweater wearing student took a step back, looking the fox's form up and down and still uselessly trying to blink away the strange haze. ...I must be dreaming. It's the only way this makes sense....But what did it mean by 'I'm neutral'?

Attempting to drop his clearly awkward looking stance, Delsin stood straight and crossed his arms. Keeping the little compass secure in his grip as locked eyes with what had to be some sort of figment. "What do you mean by....neutral?"

Delsin Grey
[The Great White North - British Colombia, Canada]

The sound of plastic rapidly tapping against plastic echoed out through narrow navy blue halls. The large, quaint household was eerily quiet save for the noise of hasty typing. It's source coming through an open door resting at the end of one of the halls, where inside a short form was slouched over a wood desk. Large earphones kept the black haired boy in his own world while his lime green eyes remained glued to the text scrolling across his screen. His fingers dancing across the keyboard beneath them as if it was choreographed.

It seemed nothing could distract the young man from his ever important chemistry paper. Not even the odd appearance of lights in the closing day sky. What looked to be something similar to the Northern Lights lit up the skyline in a fabulous display of various colors that only lasted for mere moments. As the light faded however, a small spark streaked out of the clouds.

CRASH

The teenage stopped his vigorous typing, yawning as he raised his arms above his head. Almost done...Than I can look into that link Carrick sent me earlier. The loyal student sunk back into his desk chair, turning it slightly to face the window as he let out a shaky breath and rubbed his arms. It wasn't nearly this cold five minutes ago...I could have sworn dad turned the heat on before he left..

The grey sweater wearing boy's eyes then went wide as he spied the baseball sized hole in his bedroom window. The cool air freely flowing into the room as he calmly took off his headphones and wore a look of confusion and annoyance. "What the hell?"

"Delsin! Did'ja see those crazy lights in the sky just now!? I swear I seen something fall outta the-"

The younger boy skidded to a halt in the doorway of the room, curious lime green eye's shrinking to pricks as he looked at the large crack in the glass pane. "Whoa, what happened? Did someone throw a rock through your window?"

A sigh escaped the older brother as he got up from his chair and walked over to the window to examine the hole with a stern frown. Being mindful of the glass near his feet. "Something like that. It sure wasn't hail." Delsin carefully brought his hand up to the hole, feeling around it's sharp edges as he peered out through the glass and into the snowy streets below. Shaking his head he pulled back from the sill and crossed his arms. "Nothing....Whoever did it must have ran off already."

The younger sibling dressed in basic yellow long sleeve strolled into the room, observing the shattered glass on the floor and breaking out in a sweat. "Dad's gonna be ticked...We just replaced that window last year."

Delsin nodded slowly as his eyes began to follow the path that the foreign object could have taken. "He'll be less ticked if we clean it up before he gets home. Trevor, can you go get the broom for me please? I'm gonna try to find whatever made that hole."

Trevor nodded up and down frantically as he spun around to speed walk back into the hall. Leaving Delsin to stroll away from the window. His lime gaze keeping track of the angle that the glass breaking item could have taken as the invisible trail guided him to his dresser. The book smart teen crouched to stick his arm under the wood container and begin feeling around with his hand....Until his fingers brushed against something small and rounded. Could this be it?

His arm came back to him as he blew the dust off of his grey sweater, his other hand going to the small object in his hand and feeling around it. His focused stare began to get misty as he scanned the small handheld device. It looks like...A walkie-talkie? Why would someone throw a walkie-talkie of all things through my window?

His grip on the old toy weakened as he drew it away from his body. "The grips changed color....It's grey. I wonder how it...."

And then the room went silent. Only the howling wind coming from the hole of the window echoed through the second story of the home as Trevor returned with broom and dust pan. His head craning around the empty bedroom as he began to panic a bit. "Delsin...? Delsin! Come on this isn't funny! Where'd you go!? You can't just bail on me like that! Come on! Where are you!?"

[?]

A blinding flash of light, and then, nothing. Darkness fogged the vision of the northern teenager, showing him nothing of the world around him. Unconsciously, he reached a hand out into the void in a desperate attempt to gain some sort of barring on his situation. His reach gained him a very surprising sensation that his hand reeled back from before grasping it gently.

Grass?

Delsin's eye lids slowly creaked open to allow his blurred vision to focus on the upside-down hand before him. He was laid out flat on his back, hand idly touching and poking at the soft green turf. But...I was in my room. How did I get outside? And there was snow for miles I....Am I even anywhere near town?

Quickly sitting up, the black haired student threw his hands to his head and was met with what felt like a rock slamming into the side of his brow. "Geh...Damn it." He blinked away the uncomfortable pain above his eye to pull his hand back and observe the source of it. So I still have the walkie-talkie...It's better than nothing.

The book worm rubbed at the tiny welt that was forming on his head as his gaze panned around the immediate area. To his surprise, and irritation, that cloudiness that impeded his vision and made the world around him appear hazy persisted even after he blinked. A forest...Defiantly not anywhere near home.

The utterly lost and confused boy slowly rose to his feet, black boots flattening the dirt beneath him as he starred off into the trees. Not getting anywhere just sitting around....I need to find something to help me figure out where I ended up.

With the dread and chilling feeling of being lost and alone in an unknown place not far behind him, the boy clutched at the strange grey device in his hand and began to walk forward. Taking occasional glances at the thing as he poked at it's buttons.
