Bio

Roleplay topics of interest: Pokémon is a big one. The canon of the main series games specifically, though I'm cool with a few select points from the anime thrown in. I'm also a big fan of the Mystery Dungeon universe. I'm good with RP'ing as a Trainer, but I can handle playing a Pokémon too. I prefer to have alot of interactions between the characters in an RP. I enjoy to flesh things out and give my character actual 'character'. Original worlds? Eh, I'm ok with as long as I got alot of background to them.

Recently, I've been in the mood to try RP in other series/fandoms, so if I can be sold on an idea, I'll probably look into it. Let it be known that I'm not into anything 18+ or sexual in nature. It's just not my thing.

Roleplay style: For each post that I make, I write about a paragraph or two. I try to include a bit of environmental detail, physical character detail, and sometimes delve into the mind of my characters to see what they think about the situation at hand. I'm trying to get better at expressing my characters emotion through body language since I tend to run out of descriptive words after a few posts. Most of my characters will most likely be teen aged or occasionally young adult. I also try to keep my characters male, but I can play a girl well enough.

Timezone: I feel this is an important thing to mention. My timezone is EST (GMT/UTC-5). During pretty much every month of the year baring July, August, and the later half of December, I'll be going though school during the week. So I'll most likely be able to get posts out on the weekends or later in the day when I get home.

Devon the Totodile
[Folio Town - Ember's House]

@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo
Ember's reaction to the fact that the competition made Devon physically ill didn't offend him, instead making him laugh a bit. "Haha, none taken. It really sucked though, from what little I can remember about it." The Totodile then refocused his brown eyes on the Quilava as she turned down his offer, and explained her reasoning to keeping her word. The explanation made a subtle, proud smile cross his maw. Wow....She really takes her promises seriously....That's awesome.

After the flames on Ember's back flared up a bit, Devon walked up to lightly sock her in the side and grin widely. "That's really brave of you Ember. Right on. You'll have a good time." Selena then asked a question that put a bit of tension in the air, the resident blue Kirlia's answer not really doing much to help disperse it. Looking to Ember, then to Selena, he put on a brave face. "We can handle this. It's just a party, we can slip in, eat and chat a bit, then we're gone by midnight." Pounding his fist into his open palm, he went on. "If we're gonna be a team, we gotta be able to take whatever life throws at us. Now let's head to that party, and face our fears!"

The party in the Guild's dining hall was in full swing. Dozens of Pokémon, Guild member and dancer alike singing, eating, and laughing together around the long wood table lined with dishes. The large crystal chandelier above the table brightening up the already cheery room with a flood of candle light. With everyone distracted by their friends and food, the members of Team Horizon were easily able to slip into the room unnoticed by all....Except one.

The scarred Feraligatr currently chatting with the Gardevoir next to him wore a calm smile on his face, drink glass in hand as his slit eyes glanced over to the doorway. For a moment, the smile on Raiden's face seemed to fade, before he went back to his conversation as if nothing had happened.

I'm sorry.

Later that night, after escorting Ember and Selena to their homes....

[Glyph's Guild - Guild Member's Quarters]

"Man...I'm actually alot more tired than I thought I was. Maybe the electricity is...Huh?"

The young Water-type stopped mid-sentence as he poked his head through the doorway into the small 'bed'room. The sight of two patches of hay seemed to mesmerize Devon as he walked into the candle lit room and dropped his bag near the wall. A confused frown spreading over his face as he bent down and pressed a clawed hand to the soft yellow bedding. "Uh...These are our beds?" The Totodile questioned quietly as he turned to stare at Lilisette through the low light. His dilated pupils making it seem like his eyes were pure black. "I can deal with this, but it just sort of feels...I dunno, off, to me. Like there should be more to it."

Stepping onto the hay cushion, the tiny crocodile lowered himself onto his knees, and rolled onto his side. A contented sigh escaped his lips, tail curling up between his feet as he smiled. "Wow...This is actually way nicer than I thought it would be."

The accomplished and happy young blue crocodile marched down the wood street with a smile on his face next to his two friends. However, his eyes flicked over to Lilisette and Selena as they conversed, and brought up a fact that Devon had unfortunately forgotten about during the excitement. His blue lips dipped in an uncomfortable frown as the guilt of what they all assumed was a kind act began to dampen everyone's mood. Oh....That's right.....I can't believe I forgot that.....But I won't pressure her. I don't want it to be like that...

Shaking his head, the Totodile put up a reassuring smile and leaned towards the Bayleef and Kirlia. "We're not gonna pressure her. Even though she said she'd go if Selena came with, we won't hold her to that. It'll be her decision on whether she wants to come with or not. So don't worry about it." As he finished his sentence, he refaced the road ahead and gripped his shoulder strap.

A few minutes later, the moment of truth was upon them. Devon's slit reptilian eyes focused on the blue and cream colored Fire-type sitting on the porch step beyond him, her nervous stutter and quiet voice causing him to sigh. The guilt creeping back into his brain. She really is that bad.....As bad as me even.....I gotta try and make her feel better about this. Maybe I can relate....

Keeping up his kind smile, the Water-type strolled up to the Quilava and stood before her met her gaze. His tone, while still raspy, softened when he spoke. "I know what you're feeling Ember."

He put a clawed hand on his bandaged stomach. "That quezy feeling in your stomach? The tension? It's not a good feeling huh?" The blue reptile then crossed his arms over his scaley chest, and looked off to the starry sky on his right. "I remember feeling the same....One of my friends....He really wanted to enter this competition..."

The Totodile's face scrunched up a bit, as if he was struggling to retell the story. The words came out slow. "But the only way he could enter it, would be if I joined it with him. You had to have a partner to get in. I knew there would be a big crowd and a bunch of others participants. Everyone in it would be looking right at us..Talking to us....Waiting to see if we could impress them or not. It scared me. I couldn't bare having that sort of attention. It made me so nervous I felt like I was gonna be sick. He knew that, and he didn't pressure me to enter because he felt guilty."

Turning his head back to Ember, Devon winked at her. "But I still entered it. It was my own choice to go up there on that stage, even though it literally made me sick. You have that same choice Ember. We won't force you to do something that makes you unhappy, because we're your friends. If you don't want to go to the party, that's totally ok. We can just catch up with you in the morning. Or maybe just the four of us can have our own little party somewhere."

The Ice Beam somehow missed once again, causing Devon to groan in frustration before throwing his arms at his sides. "Stay alert Cyan! Watch it's wings!"

Man, this is getting old....Even something that fast has to get tired at some point.....

Cyan heeded her Trainer's warning with a nod. Focusing her sights on the Dragon-type as it approached her for an obvious tackle, the new Azumarill tensing her body and responded to Devon's call. "Roll!" The Aqua Rabbit threw herself to the side and into a swift roll. Her egged shaped body easily tumbling along the dirt and into one of the many deep craters that littered the battlefield.

The teenager squinted his eyes at the area that his Water-Fairy once stood. His gaze looking past the sweeping Noivern and spying a bit of blue just over the crest of one of the holes, causing him to sigh in relief. Alright....If she stays crouched, she should be fine in there until he's done.....

But it was a bit too late. The wyvern's next attack radiated across the field before the red hooded Trainer could react. The empowered sound waves launching Cyan out from her hidey hole, and causing her body to flop over onto Devon's side of the field. The sight of his downed team mate shocked the brunet boy into action as he ran out onto the field to slide next to Cyan and hover over her. "Cyan! Are you alright!? Can you keep going!?"

The bruised, battered, and cut form of the Azumarill coughed a bit of dirt out of her mouth, rolling onto her back to smile at Devon before closing her eyes gently, and sighing. The concerned frown across the boy's face lightened somewhat as he carefully picked up the Aqua Rabbit and smiled. "You did great. Thanks for doing your best."

The confirmation that their friend was allowed to leave with them made Devon smile toothily, nodding quickly. "You got it Mrs.Leanne!" Spinning around on a three toed foot, the Totodile marched past the blue Kirlia to lightly punch her in the shoulder and whisper. "See? Nothing to worry about." Brown eyes flicking over his shoulder, he gestured with a claw in the Bayleef's direction. "It's not a party until we have the whole team on board right? Let's go meet back up with Ember!"

Cyan let out a bubbly gasp as the Noivern chose to dive down and meet her head on. If I stop using Aqua Jet, I'm just going to keep flying slam into him anyway....I just need to brace myself! Biting her lip, the small Marill tensed her body for impact, watching the bat's approach as if time were in slow motion, before gasping again and choking a bit as the Steel Wing cut at her tail buoy.

The watery cloak surrounding the Aqua Mouse burst into a shower of sparkling rain drops, Cyan fanning herself out as she free fell back towards the earth. Moments later, she hit the ground and went into a roll, finally crying out and clutching at her tail to grip it and spit a bit of water on it. Blood trickling from the surface of a long gash across the blue sphere.

"Cyan!" The Water-Fairy's wild haired Trainer called out onto the field, a frown of worry coming across his face as he then flicked his eyes up over to Brooks, who seemed to be taking a...Phone call? The action only caused Devon to groan his arms to go limp. "Oh come on man, seriously?"

Shaking his head to ignore the man and his phone, the teen set his brown eyes back on his Pokémon currently nursing her wound. His arms crossing over his chest. "Are you ok Cyan? Can you keep going? That gash on your tail looks pretty bad..."

Stiffing a squeak of pain, the determined Marill shot a glance back at her Trainer, giving him a firm nod and a tiny smile. The gestured caused the experienced Trainer to smile back in return. "Thanks Cyan. I know you can do this!"

Taking her wide blue eyes off Devon, Cyan placed her gaze back onto the bat dragon, his words making her spit out a bit of water onto the ground before her and glare as she gripped her tail tightly. <I...I am not a kid. And I am not weak! Just...Just because...Your opponent doesn't look like a threat, doesn't mean you should hold back.> Shaking her head, she went on. <It's stupid to go into a battle and taunt someone by not giving it your all! It makes it feel like you're not being taken seriously! I always give it my all! No matter who I'm fighting, or how things turn out!>

A soft, white glow began to over take the Marill's form, causing Devon's, and the mon on the sideline's mouths to open in awe. No way....Is she....?

The white soon over took Cyan's features as she uttered one final statement.

<If giving it my all isn't enough, then I'll just need to get better!>

A blinding flash came out of the Aqua Mouse's form, her ears stretching longer, body taking on a more egg-like shape as the white aura physically changed her form. When the light show faded away, it left an Azumarill standing among the carnage of the battlefield. Damaged tail sticking up in the air behind her as she gave the Noivern a death glare.

"Cyan....You evolved!" The wide eyed teenager exclaimed before jumping up in the air and showing off a brilliant toothy grin. "Let's do this! One last time, Ice Beam!"

And with that, Cyan the Azumarill inhaled sharply, before shooting a ray of cold energy towards the wyvern at a fast pace. (CYAN used ICE BEAM!)

The Noivern's acrobatic flight manoeuvres were hard to beat, the next series of skillful dodges making Devon curse and snap his fingers. Damn it. That thing's fast....It looks like we're not gonna be able to do much from the ground.

His head then snapped back up into a neutral position to stare across the field as Brooks called out his next move, causing the brunet teen's eyes to widen as he called out to his Aqua Mouse partner. "Move Cyan! Dodge around as much as you can! They're trying to tear the arena apart!"

Nodding at her Trainer, the Marill took off running. Zig-zaging, hoping, and diving around the battlefield as the ineffective typed pules rained down upon it. Soon enough, the dust and dirt kicked up from the attack stopped, leaving the dirt pit looking more like a bombing site.

This didn't discourage either Cyan, nor Devon however. The crimson hoodied boy in question scanning the field for any semi-smooth portions of the torn up field, then flicking his brown eyes up to the dragon bat still flying around overhead. Looks like we're gonna need to get up close and personal...

"Alright Cyan! Get some flat footing, and ready up Bounce!"

The Water Fairy did just that, her head panning around to spot a patch that was rough, but workable. She sprinted over to the area with tail raised up and glowing a calm blue color.

Devon kept his eyes his Pokémon, taking note of her position, and the still evading Dragon-type's. "Ok, now wait for my mark...." The Trainer's gaze remained focused on Noivern, taking note of every way it twisted and turned, before finally, it's path sailed near Cyan's location, and causing him to shout. "Now! Bounce up and Aqua Jet!"

The round blue mouse threw her body forwards, tail following her as she flipped in mid-air to slam her glowing tail into the ground and launch herself up vertically. (CYAN used BOUNCE!) As she flew, her body became surrounded in a blue aura, before a veil of water burst around her form and hit the ground. The high pressure water rocketing her up like a bullet in attempts to meet the bat mid-flight and slam into it's stomach. (CYAN used AQUA JET!)

Delsin Grey
[Sector 14 - Polaris Lakes → Forest]

@Ninian@Shiny Keldeo@TalijaKey@Forsythe
The theory posed by the now identified Russian-British girl caused Delsin to reply in a flat tone. "For all we know, 'digital' could have an entirely different interpretation here. Same with the concept of 'data'. Alternative world, sure, but an alternative world that was spawned from computer code?" His emerald colored eyes panned to the girl, The student's face displaying a skeptical frown. "Yeah, no. That isn't possible."

Moments later, the small purple lizard that had been leading them to what was hopefully a place of safety killed his stride. The extremely pale white haired teen girl crouching down to check on him. The black haired boy sighed and averted his eyes to the trees. It better not be something stupid....

Unfortunately, the hyped focused teenager was wrong in his assumption. Delsin's eyes going wide as his head flicked towards the horizon, and Monodramon shared similar thoughts to the bookworm. "Fucking hell." he cursed under his breath. Things weren't looking good.

Renamon and the odd talking candle creature began to think up possible ideas for how the group could 'slip past' the living snowmen. Though the heavy tone of doubt of doubt in both their voices only made the Canadian boy groan as he crossed his arms. "I still don't understand what you mean by 'Champions', but you two are narrow minded. We're gonna get out of here. We need to try." Raising his fist up, Delsin pointed a thumb at his chest and narrowed his eyes. "I've got a life to go back to, and I'm sure you all do as well. We're not going to be able to pick them back up if you doubt yourselves."

Taking his thumb away from his hand, he flashed his pointer finger at the gloved fox before him. "Renamon. You can run fast, alot faster than any other bipedal creature I've ever seen. It was clear from your body language that you could easily have out ran me back at the lake, but you held yourself back as to not leave me behind." He nodded quick, a tiny smile forming on Delin's otherwise dead serious face. "Thank you for that. I appreciate it."

Lowering his hand, he folded his arms across the front of his grey sweater and panned his gaze across the other Digimon present. "Now, Mirko said you guys can perform....'Magic'. While I don't believe that it's 'magic', I'm convinced you all must have abilities that go far beyond what a human is capable of. If we utilize them correctly, and work together, we can get out of this. A group of people with various sets of skills is how a human war is won, so we'll do the same here."

The determined black haired teenagers speech concluded with a nod, just in time for there to be another sound that otherwise cut through the silence. The boy's gaze flicked to the bushes on his left, and he gasped. "Another person? With more Digimon?" Hesitating and considering their dwindling options of escape, Delsin began to jog to towards the bushes where the new human appeared. His head flicking back to the others. "Keep an eye on these guys, just like the rest."

The unsure stance of the Meganium didn't do much to reassure the former human, but he refused to give up. Devon kept up the friendly smile on his face as he addressed Leanne after she explained why Selena was still awake. "That's a good idea. It helps to have a good balance of both offensive and defensive moves. I'm sure it will help out alot." Looking past the fully evolved Grass-type, the brown finned Totodile looked to Selena. "She did pretty good today, stopping those thieves with us."

The Water-type then stayed quiet for Lilisette as she answered the mother's question, but the Kirlia's continued depressed disposition only caused Devon to grow worried. His continued smile hiding his true feelings as he looked her over. Lilisette...Come on, you can't give up yet...Not when we've made it this far.

After the Emotion Pokémon said her piece, the tiny gator spoke up again. "He was really cool! He even took care of the thieves for us after we knocked them on their butts." He stated, a small fist raising up.

The Ice Beam was a direct hit, causing the scarred Trainer to do a short hop and raise his fists up. "Yeah! Nice shot Cyan!" Said mouse that was being praised hit the ground shortly after the Noivern. Cyan's beady blue eyes still stayed locked on her opponent as she kept her feet spread apart and tail raised up like a mace head. <Thanks!>

It was then that the veteran across the field gave what seemed to be a compliment. The words causing Devon to grin and put a hand to his side. "You underestimated me huh? You're not the first guy I've ran into that's said that, and every time I've proven them wrong." Tilting his head down a bit, he spoke a bit more strongly. The grin turning into a more intense expression."The bond that I share with my Pokémon has gotten me this far, yeah, but that's not the only thing. Its helped me alot to go into every battle with the thought in my head that my opponent could have some sort of trick up their sleeve." A tiny smile came up on the brown eyed boy's face. "Same goes for you, Brooks."

The bat dragon still stood strong despite taking two effective hits, the messy haired teen raising up his his curled arms and fists again to target the Noivern and narrow his eyes. He still isn't budging.....Dragons really are as tough as Eric said they are...But like Brooks said, this is just getting started.

The comment from the wyvern only made the Marill huff as he looked up to meet his yellow eyes. <I don't care what 'level' we're on, I'll still give it all I've got!> Readying herself for the next attack, Cyan watched the monstrous bat gain height, then prepare to launch it's Flying-typed attack, then twitch her ears when her Trainer gave the call with a punch of his fist. "Aqua Jet dodge! Stay low to the ground!"

A blue flash enveloped the small Water-Fairy, soon cloaking Cyan in a veil of rushing water as she ran to dive forwards and blast forwards while keeping low to the earth. (CYAN used AQUA JET!) The evasive Marill gliding under the Air Slash projectiles at a breakneck speed.

Devon's arm shot up in the air once again in praise, his other hand cupping over his mouth when he shouted. "Stop and roll Cyan! Hit him with Ice Beam again!"

The watery bullet flying down the length of the arena got a bit lower to the ground, the occupant inside of it connecting with the ground and sending water shooting off everywhere in erratic directions. The water around Cyan burst as the round blue mouse performed what looked to be some sort of mock Rollout. The Aqua Mouse Pokémon continuously somersaulting across the dirt until she caught herself on the flat of her stomach. Using the built up momentum, she flipped forwards to land on her feet. The now dirty and road rashed Marill twirling around to aim her view at the sky and fire another white beam of frozen energy up towards the Sound Wave Pokémon. (CYAN used ICE BEAM!)

That's fine keldeo, and I hope ya get feeling better soon @Forsythe. I'll post again after @Duthguy if he wants to get some words in.
