Def still interested, and will try to get a CS up for approval ASAP! c:
@SinfulSkills Annnd finally! ;; Sorry for the wait!
"Pewter City has to be close by," Naia murmured for what was probably the fifth time in an hour, her brows having creased with more and more worry with each repetition, "Don't fret, okay Ithel? We'll get you to a Pokemon Center soon."

The Gastly in question was presently cradled in the young woman's arms, clearly worn out but otherwise no worse for wear. Naia was relieved that she had had the foresight to buy a variety of potions during her last stop, but there was still only so much that she could do herself. She didn't know why the swarm of beedrill they had encountered had been so aggressive, but had Ithel not leapt to her defense, she was sure that she would be lying on the forest floor by now.

Still, she couldn't claim to be pleased considering the present circumstances either; it felt like she had been circling the same trees for hours on end. At some point, Charity had pulled herself out of her own Pokeball in order to check on and tend to her ghostly friend, but the fact of the matter was that Naia wasn't going to rest easy until Ithel was under the careful watch of a trained nurse. The only problem was finding her way out of here, or--

"Ah." Her eyes grew round as a flash of blond hair caught her eye. Turning, her gaze immediately fell on the young man and his Pikachu, and before she could even think about it, her lips parted.

"Hello there!" There was a pause as she struggled to find what to say, and then she smiled weakly and tilted her head. "Do you happen to know which way I should go to get to Pewter City?" Please say yes.
Naia Laurel

Age: 21 | Hometown: Cerulean City | Occupation: Trainer

Overall, Naia is a very cheerful individual. A social butterfly at heart, she adores being with other people and is unafraid to throw herself out there, eager to make new friends whenever possible. Of course, her overly-friendly attitude tends to turn off some people, but that doesn’t always stop her from trying to pursue their friendship and try getting them to warm up. Unfortunately, this does mean that she can be a bit of a pest, and gentle hinting isn’t enough to get her to back down--it needs to be blunt and to the point for it to sink through her skull. More than anything, she desires to be the type of friend that people can talk to if they have an issue or need support, even if--hypocritically enough--she is hesitant to share her own feelings and struggles with others. Although she doesn't let herself show it, cruel words or unfavourable outcomes can easily put a damper on her mood, and it can take some coaxing and encouragement until she rebuilds her confidence.

While Naia was originally a coordinator, certain circumstances--such as a unwitting rivalry with another coordinator and consistent losses--eventually led her to stop. However, not keen on simply ceasing her traveling altogether, Naia sought to instead try her hand at becoming a trainer so that she and her Pokemon could continue their adventure with a goal in mind. As a beginner trainer, she has little to no experience in actually battling Pokemon, but her hopes are to improve through practice and experience.

Interested! KHR was always one of my favourite series so I think this would be amazing.
WELL so much for the weekend. I'm so sorry for the delay! I've been trying to iron out kinks for this RP, but things also got unexpectedly busy!

@Rune_Alchemist -- I love your characters! They sound amazing, and like they'd be a ton of fun to interact with. Everything looks good to me; as soon as I get the main thread up, you can just toss her into the Characters section and assume she's auto-accepted.

@Raijinslayer -- Take your time! :)

@Shadow Daedalus -- Doubles of Pokemon are okay if that's your concern about Doublade (outside of the image appearance, of course)! As for Darkrai, I would classify him as a legendary, unfortunately! :(
Whew, busy day today! So glad that it's the weekend now.

@Tojin and @LunayMochizuki -- Thank you for your interest! :) I'll keep you up to date!

@Raijinslayer -- A wild pokejinka is definitely okay, and so long as we talk about the latter just to go through all the specifics, I'd potentially be okay with a Zoroark Pokejinka trainer too!

@Kit N Kat and @Rune_Alchemist -- Those are, of course, totally fine with me! :) If you want to get a head start at any point, you can work on the forms (which I intentionally kept short and sweet)! I hope to get this all planned out and up this weekend.

@Kit N Kat True! There has been enough interest I think, though I'm hesitant to close it off completely when I know that people tend to just come and go anyways from interest threads/nothing has been set up 100% anyways at this point.

And since I apparently screwed up and the mentions didn't work in my last post (and I assume editing the mentions in doesn't make them work): @Rune_Alchemist @Raijinslayer
Thank you for all the interest! I'm really excited to get everything done and started! And sorry for inevitable typos in this reply--I'm on a veeeery glitchy phone.

@Rune_Alchemist Thank you for all your feedback! I will definitely be planning a conflict at large so that the characters actually have a goal to work towards. :)

@Raijinslayer

  • Pokejinka are still quite new; not all captures are documented, of course, but there are definitely some people out there who probably don’t care that they look more human now (i.e. whoever I end up making antagonist, maybe). Otherwise, it’ll operate like recruiting a new party member or something—it’ll be dependent on the individual playing the Pokejinka whether they’ll allow themselves to be recruited or captured, and how. Maybe some have to be convinced or bribed, while others have their own requirements.
  • So far, all of Lumiose City and the areas surrounding it have been hit, but it’s rapidly spreading throughout the region. At this point, news has definitely gotten out to all the regions and travel in and out of Kalos is under lockdown.
  • All Pokejinka retain their memories. Their mannerisms, on the other hand, obviously depend on how they feel about their newfound circumstances.
  • Regular Pokemon will be able to sense that the Pokejinka used to be like them. Otherwise, again, the reaction is dependent on the individual (are they alarmed? Curious? Frightened?)
  • They aren’t any stronger. Technically not any smarter either, just able to show their intellect in a different way now!

I'm excited to see that there's interest, and a huge thank you for the offer to help! :) As you can see, there's still a lot that still kind of needs to be ironed out.

I guess the biggest question I have right now is whether this would work better in a smaller group of 4-5 people, or if it can work with a large group!
