Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

"Who is-" Benjamin began, but he cut off when he noticed someone standing next to him. He looked up and sighed in relief when he noticed it was Sara and he returned the smile. One look behind him learned him Marc was a few tables behind her. "Who is dead?" he whispered. While he didn't want the staff hearing him ask that question, Sara being an exception, he knew no-one could hear Dia's reply to it.
He pulled the soup closer to him, it had spilt a bit and some of it hung on the side, but he wiped it away. It would be best if no-one saw him look at nothing, so instead he took his spoon and played a bit with his soup until it was cooled down, leaning with his head on his free hand.

Marc looked to where Sara was as he placed some medicine on a table, he noticed how bored Benjamin looked. But he wasn't alone, a girl on the other side had her arms crossed and just looked at the wall while tapping her foot. Maybe the bored patients were better than those staring in the distance while rocking back and forth, at least they still had some grasp on reality.

Sure, I'd like to see the doc.
Benjamin took the phone and put it away again. He had an amused look when Harriet reacted to his jest and nodded slowly when Harriet hinted about Steph liking him, if he read the quick glance right. "That is a nice thought," he said as he leaned back a bit to give the waiter room to put his drink down. With how easily Steph could be embarrassed, this was not the time to openly discuss it. But after lunch he would find a moment to talk with her.
He picked up his glass and took a sip from the water.

"Yeah, well, you look scary," Ethan said. "But that's no reason to not be decent, you know?" He finished the sandwich and looked ahead. "I don't know what you think... but this is boring." Sitting still, even in good company, was dull. Although he did wonder when he had started considering this dragon girl good company. "How long do you suppose the others will be gone?"

At first I was like 'wait, what, multiple Meloettas? Aren't legendaries supposed to be unique?', leading to some research about multiple legendary Pokémon.
Today I learned there is actually a difference between mythical and legendary Pokémon and that there is indeed evidence some legendary Pokémon are not alone.
So, how do we do this for our RP? What Legendary or mythical Pokémon can exist in multitudes and which ones don't?
Arceus is obviously unique. The Creation Trio and Lake Trio are also unique, as is Mew. But the others?

Long story short though: Sure, I'd love to play Meloetta :)
Sadly I only watched four movies, the first 3 and then one of the last ones where they basically did a remake of the first season. I choose you I think it was. So I have no idea about Genesect.

But what are the more playful legends? Could the Lake Trio swarm around his head and taunt him?

Or maybe Meloetta, who may be secretly rooting for Gavin to find a partner, be it another Legendary Pokémon, a regular Pokémon, or even a human. Meloetta isn't shy amongst humans, according to the Bulbapedia she lived in a village with people, so she might even appear to them in her Pokémom form. Which will also allow Mindy to see something the others haven't.
I wasn't sure anymore, I recalled we would let Andy and Articuno meet, but I didn't remember if it was before or during Starfall.

But yes, let's all split up after breakfast.
"Blaze," the Charizard replied. "And that is Mable," he added, nodding with his head to the Dragonite, who smiled in response. He picked up a new berry once the other was gone and he looked at the happy little Charmander. It was odd he had wings already, and he would ask how it was possible, but after breakfast.
"How did you sleep?" he asked the Dragonite.
"I found a good place in a dark forest. There were some Hoothoot around who agreed to keep watch while I slept."
"Good."

"Oh," Anthony began as he looked around. "I would like to eat with Jycii, she's kind and Merlin already ate." He knew he couldn't carry the bowl, so he flew up and landed next to the Pidgeot, where he waited for his breakfast. As he did he looked up to the larger Bird-Pokémon.

Both Michael and Mindy joined Niccia at the cart. The both looked at the bird seed Niccia had and Michael looked at his Fletchling who seemed to look at the bowl Niccia was holding.
"Is that for Anthony?" Michael asked.
"Is there any left for Timothy?" Mindy asked. "I mean, I can feed him berries too if not." She looked around, making sure she didn't forget any of her Pokémon, but aside from her Decidueye everyone was eating. Her stomach growled and she put a hand over it, it was time she would eat something too.

Saruya ate from the food and looked at the playing pups. It was nice to have them. It would be nicer if she'd have pups of her own. After a quick, sideway glance to Harry she focussed on her food again. She definitely wouldn't mind carrying his pups, but all in good time. But the implications... it would mean the pups would share blood of both Suicune and Entei. It was watered down of course, Harry was a son, she was a granddaughter. Suicune's blood would be thin, Entei's blood even thinner. But it would be there nonetheless.

Merlin shook his head. "To my knowledge there has been talking about Gavin taking Andy, but.." He turned his attention to Mindy again. "There might be competition now."

So many Pokémon indeed XD

About Starfall, will Gavin still take Andy, or would he rather introduce Mindy to that world?
Benjamin examined everyone, they all seemed to act normal. Normal for them anyway, one guy seemed to be swatting invisible bees away. A girl sulked as she stirred her soup. And the catatonic woman still stared ahead, one of the caretakers joined her table to feed her.
He watched Sara hand out the soup, and a few tables behind her was Marc with his damned cups. Another set of pills meant for the trash can, because he certainly wouldn't take them.

Marc dutifully gave every patient their medicine, something most patients took without complaint. He glanced ahead, to the table with Ray and Benjamin and sighed. He felt safe betting money on them not taking their prescribed medication. And if they didn't he'd just note it in the file and let the psychiatrist handle it.
"Sure, yeah," Benjamin quickly got his phone and handed it to Duncan. The contact list seemed to grow every day, but he didn't mind. And it was easier if he could contact Duncan directly. "I promise I won't steal him from you," he said to Harriet. "As long as his nightly text messages are still sent to you instead of me you have nothing to worry about."

He had to admit he was curious to see what the Crunch Specials would be. While he didn't mind to try something new, he had been in the mood for a simple soup. When looking around the café he noticed the waiter had already collected their drinks on a tray. He wanted to see those BloodRed Smoothies too, probably a smoothy made of red fruits, but in a place like this one could never know. A Bloody Mary could very well substitute the tomato juice with real blood for their blood-drinking clientele.

"We don't know unless we try," Ethan said. "And the others can't complain, boss agreed so they just have to accept it. I'll make sure to let them know, so they can complain if they don't like it and then be told that they have to shut up and listen." He showed the second sandwich. "Brought two in case you were really hungry," he mentioned.
