Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

The manipulation continues :o

I'll play agent Lockheart and make sure she's close to Gaia when the device will be activated.

And yes, we are mean to our characters. But it will make a good story.
Ethan nodded and followed Gaia to the shed, but stopped when she looked at the sky. Moments later something small with wings crashed into her and it made some incomprehensible but cheerful noises. Then he recognized it. "It's Harriets creature. Guess it likes you."
He continued to the shed and opened the door. There were gardening tools, ropes, nets. Nothing he could use for what he had in mind. Unless he'd use a bag with fertilizer, but the groundskeeper wouldn't like that, and he was fairly sure he wouldn't want to be next to a bag of that stuff when it ripped.

"There could be some old boxing bags in the attic or the basement," he said, looking back at Gaia. "This place has nothing."

"No, they want a 24/7 commitment. That's why they have agents living at the base." He took a small break to eat some soup. "I used to work with a group of ghost hunters, we'd travel around to sightings and sleep in motels or the vans, always going from one place to the other. We didn't have a lot of money either, there were times I had to play on the street to earn money for food while the others were trying to find a new case we could work. Which is also how I met Mike." He smiled a bit, taking a bite from his bread. "The job itself was fulfilling, but this is definitely an upgrade. I've got a clean bed and free food every day, and some money I can spend on whatever I want. Plus, if you resign you get a decent pay-out."

As Mike was having lunch with Mitch in a four-star restaurant, Stuart Greyhill joined them.
"I'm sorry to disturb you," he said, "but mr. Johnson let me know there is an emergency. We need to talk about Succubi."
Mitch looked at the man and gestured to an empty chair. "Go ahead. I'm interested in the subject too."
Mr. Greyhill looked at Mike and only after an approving nod he sat down. "I know there is one in the agency, but they are predators. Every one of them, but some hide it better than others." He put a tablet on the table. "Here is a record of all the victims we know about."
As Mike started swiping through the pictures of the dead people, he realised how many there were. It was quite disturbing, he hadn't realized how dangerous they could be. Mitch looked at the tablet too, only pausing to address the waiter who came to see if the new guest wanted something as well.

Mr. Johnson looked at the text. Just monitor for now. I'm keeping an eye on them through the security system too. When I give the order, activate the device.
He watched them at the shed, Ethan was still too damn familiar with that monster, but it would soon change. He had been shown the massacre demons with similar traits like Gaia were capable of. He was certain Ethan would act when needed. That reminded him of something, Ethan was the kind of guy to help a damsel in distress. If one of the female agents would seemingly be in danger because of Gaia...
He picked up the phone. "Miss Lockheart, please come to my office."
No problem, I've taken breaks from roleplaying in the past to focus on writing. I understand it's needed sometimes.
Good luck with getting things sorted out for college.
Calle, Sarah is going to find a Weedle soon and she wants to catch it. She'll try to use Bulbasaur first.

It's a catch
"Oh," Mindy said as she looked at the stain. "It's not a big stain, but it is grease and that doesn't come out easily. If you go change in something else now I can clean it for you, I have a good stain remover with me. For best results it should be washed after being treated with the stain remover though."
Travelling could be dirty business, and Mindy had experienced that not every trainer cared equally about clean clothes. She did like to be clean, so always travelled with small vials of detergents, in case she'd need it.

"Merlin and Bear seem to bicker a lot too," Michael sighed. "But they work together when they have to." Somewhere behind him he heard Mindy talk to Gavin, but his attention was drawn to a Butterfree holding a honey sandwich. "I guess uncle is up," he said. He only knew one Butterfree who was crazy about honey sandwiches and ate one every opportunity he could.

"Good morning,", Benny greeted them cheerfully as he passed them and he flew to the tree where Merlin was. "Andy is up," he said as he sat down and took a bite from the sandwich. "He's having breakfast with Bear and Kim, but kept Varina in the Pokéball for now, because Bear doesn't like her." He then turned to Blubelle. "I hope you had a good breakfast!"

"Hello Ixia," Mable said. "I wonder what today will bring. Did anyone hear any plans?"
"I think Mindy will spend most of the day socializing," Blaze said, "with Michael and the trainers that are with him." He glanced towards Gavin. "Like she's doing now."

Saruya nodded and got up. "Let's go meet those two," she said, nodding to the Lapras and Onix, who had finished their meal and observed what was going on. "And maybe we can go for that walk after that."
Sitting still with Harry was nice, but it was time to stretch the legs.
Soon the plans of mr. Johnson will be set in motion *rubs hands together and snickers*

I will have the teacher of Mike join him at the place he and Mitch are eating, planting some more seeds about evil succubi in his mind. With the chips in place, we could do the evil plans of mr. Johnson when everyone is back at the base.

Poor Benjamin will have his trust in the agency completely crushed.

And Mike turning into a vampire can happen somewhere after that. But how do you see turned vampires? When I use vampires I usually let them have the standard weaknesses, daylight, garlic, crosses, etc.

Also, if they leave the agency, will they all split up for a bit? Or maybe after Steven tried to attack Gaia?
Ethan will probably just go home, having enough of all the nonesense going on, he lives in the city so that is easy enough, and Benjamin might go with him. And if Mike is alone for a bit, he will be an easy victim, but they should get together after that and find a new place where they can hide and fight against the evil organisation.

Oh! and the imps need to be released. Maybe we should let Gaia and Ethan head to attic too, to find something suitable to hang in the tree, where they discover the imps. And when everything goes sour, before they leave they can release the imps.
As Andy walked towards the supermarket he noticed the building with the golden arches. And that made him wonder: did he really want to go into the supermarket, buy a pizza, drive home and then wait another whole twenty minutes before he could eat, or eat something now and then do some shopping. It had been at least a week since he last had eaten at a similar place, that was definitely long enough to allow himself to change his dinner plans.

After going over all the facts, there was really no other conclusion to make. Dinner first and shopping later.

Crossing the parking lot in the new direction he kept his eyes on the target. Some other people were entering it too. A family with two young children who nearly dragged their parents inside, it was a sight that made Andy smile.
One figure seemed to be out of place though, the manner of which he walked gave the impression he was heading to an opera or a classy theatre play. Or dinner in a five-star restaurant. But to each their own, people were free to eat wherever they wanted. The gait and clothes were a bit peculiar, it seemed out of place. Out of time. Again Andy decided it didn't matter. Ever since he had treated someone dressed in a big bunny costume he didn't care how people wanted to go through life.

And more importantly, he was close to a good meal, with potatoes and meat and vegetables. Yes, the dietitians in the hospital would be pleased with him, if they ignored the deep-fried aspect of his envisioned meal of course.
Well, that was disappointing, none of the children wanted to step forward. The hermit sighed, but decided he would have a word with each of them before they would be off.

Meria's mouth lifted into an amused smile. "You have nothing on your face, but I did feel the desire to douse you. It's nothing personal," she assured him. When she heard the dwarf speak, she turned her attention to him. "I do have better things to do than travel with you," she agreed.

Mikhal remained quiet. He definitly wanted to help, but he wouldn't be able to decide who he would help unless all the plans were made. The only thing he knew for sure was that he wouldn't assist in any assassination.

A roar sounded and the Hermit looked up. A big, orange dragon flew towards them. Trevor heard the roar too and narrowed his eyes, his hand moved to his sword, but he relaxed when he recognised the dragon as the same dragon he had met on the ledge.

The dragon landed and looked at all the dragons that had gathered. "I didn't expect so many dragons to still be here," he rumbled in the human language. "Most I know have fled to the Sanctuary." He lay down on the grass, his eyes resting briefly on Trevor before he looked at the Hermit. "I decided not to go there after all. It's time I find a volcano where I can rest."

There was saddness in the eyes of the Hermit when the dragon said that, but he nodded. "You are old, my friend. We all must die one day, but maybe you have enough strength left in your wings to help these people. They want to go against the king who has been killing dragonriders and dragons."

General Doruk seemed far from pleased, but he nodded. "I got the news Trevor refused. We could have used his skill and I hoped he would join our side. But now that he is not, he is a threat. Kill him. And mark all the dragon sightings on a map. The King will want to know about it."
He gestured to a large map on the wall, where several flags in different colours marked things only the general knew. The dragon pins were purple flags with a small dragonhead on them.
I'd say dragons always have a hint of Air too, making them more likely to be okay with air mages and elves, despite any other elements they may have.

So, my old dragon who was alive during the war between dragons and humans, before the dragon riders came in existence, will make an appearance in my next post. His size is comparable to RedClaws and Ark, maybe slightly bigger.
I think it was mentioned in the RP that Ark is slightly smaller than RedClaws. And Mercury is smaller than Ark. I think Fiona will be roughly the same size as Mercury.

And Comet is small, I recall in the other setup it was mentioned she is similar in size as Toothless. And Orion somewhere between Comet and Mercury, right?

Another small dragon will join the party soon too, she is on her way and she will be a great playmate for Aero. She's a fairy dragon, her torso has the size of a human hand, and she's a friend of Mikhal.
While Benjamin hadn't seen what Ray was doing, he did notice the frown and the tapping. "Something wrong?" he asked between two spoons of soup. While the soup didn't have much flavour, it wasn't bad either. But that was true for most of the soup: not bad, but not great either. He didn't have high hopes for the main meal either, but with low expectations the meals generally were okay.

Marc had stopped at one of the tables, the medication for one patient had changed and he went over the new schedule with the patient, and the best way to take the new pills. After that he had one more table to go and then they had to wait a bit before they could start handing out the main meals. Everyone needed a chance to finish the soup. But, the asylum did allow for staff to eat whatever soup was left, so he would check with Sara to see if there was any.
