Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

But you remembered, that's good!
No problem. When you have time you can come back to the RP and otherwise just leave it here. I really don't mind how long it is between posts and I'll be around if you feel like posting again.

Good luck with college, I'm glad your financial aid got through.
Trevor watched Duncan kneel and pledge his oath with crossed arms. He rolled his eyes and turned away, shaking his head. There was no way he would be foolish enough to do that. The furthest he could be away from politics the better it was. He glanced to Mikhal, he hoped the bard wouldn't be foolish enough to pledge any allegiances.

Mikhal ate from his soup as Duncan kneeled down. "Every story needs a faithful hero," he said to Gnol, but he didn't give any sign of wanting to get up and kneel besides Duncan. That was something for nobility and the army, not for a commoner like himself. Of course he still had to decide what he would do, what quest he would join. The sanctuary seemed intriguing and he loved to see it one day, but he felt he could be of better use within the borders of the kingdom. Having travelled around he knew most places and a lot of people.

The old dragon turned to Damien and nodded. "It's an island in the sea," he said and turned to Ricki. "That, I do not know, winged-one. They might let you in. They might let the sorceress in if the sea dragons will vouch for her. But after recent events they will be very cautious for humans, or those closely resembling them."

Rachel stood besides Damien. "If you won't be king, you will lead the Order, right?" she asked. Watching Duncan she realised the Order had to vow an oath too. If Damien would kneel, she would kneel besides him. As the leader he had to speak for the Order in this case. But, if he wanted the throne she'd back him up. She looked at Noble not really seeing king-material there, in her eyes Damnien was much better suited, but if he had the right people around him he could pull it off.

"I would like the company," Meria said to Alan and she looked at the water dragon. "I'm sure she'll enjoy having her new friend with her too." She looked at Mikhal, it would be nice if he were to join them, but it was impossible to predict what the bard would do. He seemed calm and take in the situation. Her eyes rested on the dwarf. It was possible he would prefer to go with the dwarf.
"Will you join us then?" she asked Ricki as her eyes settled on the winged girl. "We can go to the sea and travel further to the sanctuary together."

Doruk bowed for the king. "I will do as you order, your highness." After a final glance at the dragon he turned around and left. He would gather some prisoners for the beast first. If it was fed it might get in a better mood. And it would solve the problem with overcrowded prisons.

Vivian smiled back at her and watched her walk back to Marc. Maybe being with Marc would help her be normal. After a final glance around the room, watching everyone, Vivian turned around and left. Ray and Benjamin were trouble, they enforced each others noncompliance and that wasn't good. At least she had an idea about how to deal with that.

Marc noticed Sara return and he waited for her to join him. Judging by her smile the talk had gone well. He turned his attention to one of the staff as they brought back one of the plates with cake, refused by one of the patients. Marc nodded and wrote down the name, it was unusual for people to decline cake, it was most likely because of an underlying condition, thinking it was poisoned or that they would get fat from it, so he'd have a talk with the patient later.

Benjamin finished the cake and leaned back, drinking a bit of water. He saw the psychiatrist had left again, but he didn't really care about that. Most people seemed to be finished up their meal and the first patients were leaving. He looked at the clock, he still had to kill half a day before he could go to bed. After he realised he still had half a day to go he sighed, but at least he had a few appointments the afternoon.
"When you're ready, let's go to my room," he said to Ray. He could have his talks with the staff after that.
"That's nice," Benjamin said. When the door was unlocked he opned it and entered the car. He looked to see where Steph was, there was only one more place she could sit. Since he had to wait he took the opportunity to check his phone, but no-one had sent any messages, so he put it away again. He glanced in the direction they had come from, he wondered what April wanted to talk about, but that was something he'd discover tomorrow.
Mabel relaxed in the sun, being perfectly happy to just lie there and bathe in the sun. Aside from the wind there were barely any sounds, the city was too far down for its noises to reach the rooftop. It was still early in the day of course, the sun was far from its peak, but she didn't need the midday sun for sunbathing. Although she figured Charcoal would like that. She lazily opened one eye to look at the little ones and closed it again.

Mindy took her phone when she realized she had gotten a text message and nodded to herself before putting it away again. When Gavin stepped from the booth she looked at him. "If you like it that's all you need," Mindy said as she got up. "But it looks good on you. You should definitely buy it." It did look good on him, this colour suited him. She looked down to Fez. "Right?"

"Don't wear yourselves out," Michael said with a laugh. "Don't forget we're going to see if we can do a battle." He saw how Bear tried to grab them, so far he seemed to enjoy the game he had invented for himself, but Michael decided to keep an eye on him. If he couldn't catch them and get frustrated, that wouldn't be good. He noticed Benny fly around with Anthony, keeping an eye on the Primeape too.
"Do you have a map of this city?" he asked Niccia. "I don't know where the gym is."

Andy carried Varina out of the hotel and then walked to the library with the keystone in his arm. Kim walked with him on all fours, looking around at the city around them. She made sure to stay close to Andy.
"It's just a few blocks away," Andy told his Pokémon. "I checked the city plan in the hotel. Have you ever been in a library, Varina?"

Spoiler alert, but Trevor is going to roll his eyes at Duncan too.

He and Creessaa are almost soul-mates!
Mystery Pokémon at the rooftop. But the Pokémon is correct, Mabel is fast. Maybe we'll find out how much.

The more I write Bear, the more I see him as ADD or hyperactive. Or maybe ADHD. I never decided it when I created him, but I do see the characteristics pop up.
Mabel lay on the grass with her eyes closed, her breathing slowed down a bit as she relaxed, her body rising and falling with every breath she took. It almost seemed as if she was asleep, even though she wasn't.

Mindy noticed Fez and greeted him with a smile. "Hello Fez," she said. "Gavin is trying on some clothes. I'm sure we don't have to wait long."
She looked at the booth she had seen him enter, wondering what he would choose. It was nice to hang out with him, even though she had just recently met him.
"I can't imagine sitting here with Michael," she told Fez. "We're friends, we talked. We never had the desire to go shopping together." She let out a soft giggle. "But then again, Michael did have his own spare clothes."

With the Dunsparce on his shoulder, Michael send a text message to Mindy before he turned to look at Niccia first, and the collected Pokémon after that. "Ready?" he asked.
"Yeah!" Bear shouted, raising his fist in the air. Even though he wouldn't be battling, he was glad to be on the road again.

"I see," Kim said, but didn't say any more about it because Andy joined them.
"Okay ladies," he said. "I wished Elm a safe journey and now we're off to the library." He picked up Varina again so he could walk with her through the revolving door. Kim followed him, going through the door after him.
"Varina," Andy said, looking at the Spiritomb. "Do you want to hop or shall I carry you for a while longer?"
The Wingull looked at the new arrival and had a mild curiosity for him. When he mentioned she took good care of her plumage, she let out a pleased sound and nodded to show he was correct.
"Yeah, I do see a lot from here," she said. "I know you are new. What do you want to know?"
While she had looked at Rapier when saying that, she looked at the ground now to keep an eye on things happening down there. Someone could drop something edible after all, but she would give this Pokémon as many minutes as he wanted to talk with her.
