Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

"How long have you been together?" Benjamin asked. They certainly had a happy couple vibe and that was great to see. It was something he wanted as well, to be in love with someone who loved him too, who he could take to café's or the park or ice skating. He couldn't stop himself from looking over his shoulder to Steph. Maybe he wasn't destined for regular girls, but he didn't mind. He knew who he liked and it didn't matter she had wings and a tail. Maybe he just had to stop beating around the bush.

When he looked ahead again he noticed they were almost at the car. That was good. That meant he could sit close to Steph again. And back at the base he definitely needed to take her somewhere private for an honest conversation.
Vivian looked at her niece and put a hand in her hip. "I will allow it," she said. "If you promise me you will take your pills as you should. If your illness is under control then I will let you have a night out. I will let you go out every night. But, that right will be revoked if I learn your illness flares up again. So take your pills, Sara. You know they help you." She smiled at her niece. "You have a good time, my dear. I'm sure you'll have fun. Marc seems like a decent guy."

When the cake was placed in front of him, Benjamin looked at it and took a bite from it Shop-bought, nothing special, but the gesture was nice. "So I get to talk with her?" he asked before taking a second bite, looking between Ray and Ari. "Someplace where it won't cause you any trouble."
Andy chewed on his burger as he watched his former patient inspect the fries as if he had never seen one before in his life. He gave the man the time to examine everything he had and try it, maybe it really was his first time in a place like this, although that seemed unlikely. Not the fact this could be his first time in a fastfood restaurant, his attire certainly indicated he was used to better, but being unfamiliar with this food? That was rare. Most surprising was that the biting and chewing seemed off, at least at first, as if he wasn't sure how to do it. Even babies had a natural understanding of how it worked.

He sipped from his own milkshake and ate a couple of fries. What was most fascinating were those eyes. In this light they almost seemed to glow. The light in the hospital had caused that effect too. Right now those eyes held an annoyed look, directed at him.

The annoyed glance was met with an amused one from Andy. "There is no accounting for taste," He stated with a shrug. "I love milkshakes, although I prefer the ones I make myself, but if you don't then I'll get you something else." He turned in his seat and gestured to the fridge with bottles close to the counter, filled with different kinds of soda, fruit juice and water. "Just tell me what drink you like and I will get it for you."

Vivian turned her attention to Sara when she approached her and let a smile appear on her face. "Of course, dear," she said, giving Sara her full attention. "What's on your mind?"

Benjamin frowned and leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms. "Dia is right. That is bad." He recalled Ray had explained they had starved her during her isolation. Inhumane practices, how could an organisation like this get away with that? "You will need your strength if we..." he glanced around and leaned forward so he could lower his voice. "If we decide to try and escape, you will need your strength. So eat what you can, they aren't overly generous with their food anyway."

The staff started to hand out plates with a small slice of chocolate cake on them. A few patients reacted overly excited about it, while others reacted hardly at all.
One Wingull sat on a roof near the Pokémon Center, using her beak to clean the feathers on her chest. She noticed a trainer running towards the Center with one of her kind in the arms. With a mild interest she looked at it and then at the large bird-Pokémon who flew up, but soon the interest in the scene faded and she returned to working on her feathers.

A few Wingull were in the harbour, their squeaks sounded like they were battling over some food there.

@CitrusArms
Okay, that makes sense. Thanks for explaining.
Mr. Johnson smiled. "I agree," he said, taking his phone to check a message as he received one. "That was it, really," he added, looking at the agent again. "Let me know when you remember things. And if you want I will help you discover your past."
After a final nod he didn't give the indication he had more to say to Carl.

"I'm sure we'll find this Daz if your unit and our agency both look for him," Benjamin said, looking back at the girls that were walking behind them. They seemed to be talking amongst themselves, girls chat probably, not something he had to stick his nose in, so he faced forward again.
"It's a nice place, I understand why you and Harriet go there," he said, just to make some small-talk. He wasn't one to walk to a car in silence.
"I honestly don't know," Mabel said, looking at the Charmander. "I don't know enough about that to give any predictions. I hope you do if that is what you want."
She smiled at Ixia, who's enthusiasm was endearing.

Mindy waited for Gavin to try on the new clothes and kept herself busy on her phone. After looking at where the shop was, luckily it wasn't far away from here, she went to check the latest Trainer News, but there wasn't anything exciting happening right now. She glanced to the changing booth, thinking Gavin was an unusual man, but one she definitely wanted to get to know better. He was certainly a unique man, and she liked that.

Penalopy pouted when Fez berated her, but looked at Mindy when Fez talked more about her. "This is wonderful!" she exclaimed, "I'm so happy for Gavin!" she quickly put her hands over her mouth when she realised she spoke a little too hard. "I think it's best to find James. See you around," she whispered, trying to make up for the earlier exclamation, and disappeared between the clothes.

Michael then looked at his Arcanine.
"Only if the gym leader has three opponents," she said. "Otherwise I'm fine letting the young ones battle," with a sideway glance she looked at Missy. "Some of them have a lot of energy."
"That's settled then," Michael said, turning to Lytse and Marie. "Marie, you can sit on my shoulder, I'll let Mindy know where she can find us."
The Dunsparce nodded and started crawling towards Michael, with Lytse walking next to her.

With Varina in his arms, Andy pushed through the revolving door and stepped into the lobby. He noticed professor Elm and put Varina on the floor with Kim before walking to him.
"A new Pokémon?" Elm asked.
"Yes, I found her last night," Andy said, and brought the conversation to what they needed to discuss.
Kim looked at Varina. "It won't take long," she said. "If you don't mind me asking, how did you end up as a Guardian for Darkrai?"
Right now we have two writing competitions going on, and the second competition pushed the first one from the contest bar on the main page, which means the first doesn't get as much attention as the second.

Wouldn't it be better to alternate the competitions? Launch the second when the first is done. Or was it done on purpose to have two competitions at the same time?
