Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

Both attacks hit each other and the resulting shockwave blasted sand in every direction. Henri shielded his eyes from the incoming sand, but he thought he saw something brown in it too.
"I guess I'll have to do some sweeping after this," he muttered and he dusted off his clothes when the sand after the blast was over. One of the downsides of running the ground gym, but at least he wouldn't get wet, unlike Alana when something like this happened in her battlefield.
He scanned his battlefield, but his Diglett was nowhere to be seen. He waited for a moment, but then looked at the Absol and his opponent. "Really good attack," he said. "Smart move too. If the Bulldoze attack would have hit the Absol it could have been over for you, because he put a lot of force in it, but countering it with another attack was a good strategy." He gestured to the field. "It looks like Diglett withdrew deeper into the sand, you disturbed his habitat violently twice and I think he had enough. And you showed good skill and strategy, so I will award your efforts with a ground badge."
"A bold decision," Andy stated. "Very well, I'll go get you one." He got up from the seat and went to get a bottle of coca-cola from it. Figuring that too might be too sweet for the taste of his odd dinner-guests, and the bubbles would probably be a surprise too, he took a bottle with water too. He'd rather not have to get up again.
It was odd though, that the man wouldn't know the name of a brand that was probably the most well-known around the world.

He paid for the drinks and returned to the table, placing the requested bottle next to his former patient's food. "Enjoy," he said, moving to eat a few of his own fries before they would be cold.
That is not a lot. I hope you managed to rest up a bit after that <3
Benjamin had a worried look in his eyes when Ray mentioned being locked up, but he stopped when she talked about splitting up. The tone of her voice showed how she felt about it and he took her shoulders. "We're not splitting up for ever, don't make it sound like we do. You're my friend and that won't change. But I want to keep you safe too. We just have to show them that while we do spend time together, they don't have to worry about us crossing any lines they don't want us to cross. Okay?"

He was glad her spirits seemed to understand why he said it, it wasn't his intention at all to abandon to Ray, and he never would. But after what Marc said he knew they would have to keep a little distance.

Marc continued to walk, shaking his head a bit. He would have to keep an eye on those two, they were drawn to each other. While he did believe Benjamin when he said it wasn't romantically, they would only enforce each others habit of refusing medicine. They would have each other to believe what they had was normal and didn't need any treatment and that would be a problem.
As he thought about he noticed someone sitting on the ground.
"Sara?" he said as he rushed to her side. "Sara, are you okay?"

As the fire scorched the sand the trail of the Diglett stopped. For a moment there was no movement at all. Suddenly the Diglett emerged at the edge of the sand, far away from where the sand had gotten hot.
"Did it get too hot for you, little buddy?" Henri asked, but he didn't need to see the reaction of the Diglett to know that was the case, with its thin skin it stayed out of the sunlight, and fire attacks could hurt just as bad. "Time to attack. Bulldoze!"
An orange aura appeared around Diglett. "Lett," it said and a shockwave rippled through the sand, on course to the Absol.
"Hiking trousers," Mindy replied, "there is a variety so we have to check what they have. They generally are sturdy and have pockets. Some come with detachable lower legs so you can turn them into shorts." She stopped to check her phone to see if she still was going in the right direction. She wouldn't want to be without a Pokédex, because the user-made apps for identifying Pokémon on smartphones were subpar compared to that, but the map-app she used was actually pretty good. "Right, this way," she said.
It wasn't long before she spotted the outdoor/camping store and pointed at it. "That's the place. You'll find lots of supplies that are good for travelling on foot or camping."

The Eevee continued the quick attack and ran into Sparky.
"Attack the Dunsparce, Anthony!" Michael said. "Do a Quick Attack!"
The Fletchling flew as fast as he could and dove into the Dunsparce, who couldn't evade the attack.
"Oh no!" Whitney said. "You okay, Dunsparce?" The Dunsparce nodded. "Do a Screech!"
As the Dunsparce did the attack, Anthony shook his head and flew back.

"Harry!" Saruya said, again flames etching around her snout. She opened her mouth and breathed a gold-rose-coloured flame at the opponents. The Sacred Fire was large enough to hit both opponents. She had wanted to do a regular Flamethrower, but instead her instincts had taken over, the sacred fire that was of Ho-oh, that runs through its child Entei, also ran in her blood.

"Thank you," Kim said as she took the berry. She listened to what he had to say. "But everything worked out, Andy survived the blizzard and that's all that mattered." She giggled. "I think he enjoyed being pampered by those Jynx, they had made soup for him and everything. But he would have died if Articuno hadn't come when I called for help and I'm so grateful she came."
I hope you'll have/had a good day at work.
I'm a stay-at-home mother and my son was home today as well. That combined with the cold I got made it a rather exhausting day.
Marc was about to leave when he noticed Ray slip out Benjamins room. "Hey, you two," he said. "You know it's against the rules to form physical relationships with other patients, right? You really shouldn't be in each others room. I have to report that and the psychiatrist will take action when she suspects something is going on between you. I'll leave it with a warning this time, but don't let me catch you again, okay?"

"We don't have a physical relationship," Benjamin stated, "but thanks for your concern, we'll keep it in mind." He turned to Ray. "Let's go read something." This place was awful if people weren't even allowed to be in relationships. Not that he had any desires to be, he just wanted to have friends, but patients being witheld the freedom to love who they wanted, that was terrible.

He started walking, leaving Marc behind. "I guess we should spend some time apart from each other too," he muttered, glancing to Ray. "I don't want to find out what actions the psychiatrist will take when she starts to suspect things."
Henri watched as the Shadow Ball grew and grew before it was unleashed, he had his arms crossed and seemed unphased by the attack. The Shadow Ball hurled towards the Diglett and impacted on the ground. Sand flew in every direction and the attack left a crater. Of the Diglett was no trace.
For a moment there was nothing to be seen, but then there was some movement in the sand. Something moved to the Absol; the Diglett was using his characteristic move Dig. The Diglett had enough time to see the Shadow Ball forming and being released, quickly going under when it was unleashed.
