Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

Benjamin looked up when Dia spoke and scowled when he noticed Marc, he did not like that guy. In the short time he had been here he already had a few run-ins with him and so far the only things he had heard from him was about taking his meds and staying away from Ray.
"He's been here since the morning, he'll probably go home soon." He looked at the drinking fountain. "I'm going to drink a bit."

Walking through the common room the passiveness of everything became more apparent. People were doing nothing. Only when patients had an episode of something they broke the general apathy with screaming or jerking or however such an episode manifested itself. How he started to hate this place. He drank some water with his back to the nurses.

"Yes, we have to keep an eye on those two," Marc said, watching Benjamin go to the water fountain. It was good he was keeping hydrated, some patients had to be reminded to drink. It showed that despite his delusions he was still sane enough to take care of his needs.
Tepig vs oddish is a fail, even with the bonus for type advantage it's a tie, but if you use mareep as second you will be victorious.

Weedle vs Hoppip is a draw, but with poison giving a type advantage it's a win, so make sure to use poison attacks when you RP that.
A friend of mine told me about the manga, I read through the first chapter but I dislike reading manga from a computer screen. I'm glad they turned it into an anime. Where are you watching it?
"Model ships and trains and such?" Benjamin asked. "That is definitely a nice hobby. A friend of mine does that, is into Warhammer and everything, he made some model Star Trek ships." He walked to the window and looked outside. "I like to paint, but that really precise painting is not my thing, I admire those who can do it, sometimes the area's you have to paint are so tiny." He turned around so he could face Steph again. "My parents work with clay and plaster a lot, they do pottery and plaster casting, my father makes it and my mother paints it. I've done a pit of pottery myself, it's fun, but I prefer painting."

"That's what I needed to know," mr. Johnson said. "We'll be on the look-out for Daz, I will upload his pictures in the system. If he would happen to contact either of you, let me know. And if you have any updates I will make sure the information in the system will be updated as well. If that was all..."
He politely allowed them to either add to the conversation, bring up a new subject, or leave. But he had nothing further to add.

One of the snipers touched a bit of web with his elbow and noticed he got stuck. Two others quickly moved in to help him get unstuck.
"It's unusual webbing," he reported. "Very sticky and strong. We will proceed."
"Large spiders," one of the snipers warned. "They're moving straight toward us."
"That is unusual behaviour," Rudrig warned them. "Proceed with caution and be ready to defend yourself. Shoot to kill."
Each sniper took a gun and moved forward, keeping an eye on the crawlers.

"Okay then, I will show you where you can stay." Andy started driving once more, this time with an actual goal: his home. "You will have to get used to making due with less, especially if you are a lord. I may be a doctor and get paid well, my home is far from impressive." He grinned and tapped on the steering wheel. "At least I'm able to buy nice things like this one."

He drove through the city, a rather unimpressive part with regular houses and small frontyards, some with neatly cut grass, others with white gravel or paved with ornate slabs with some potted plants, and a few apartment buildings. He parked in front of a rectangular five-storey concrete building. Several trees and bushes had been planted around the parking area and a few potted plants stood on either side of the door.
"This is where I live," he said as he turned off the engine and he unbuckled by clicking the red button. "Let's go inside."
He stepped out of the car, but looked back in to see if Alastor managed to find his way out the car.
How long would to get from the Mesperit City to the rocky regions of the island in the rp?

I'd say the outskirts of the rocky area is roughly an hour by foot, you'll get in a region with more rocks, but still mostly grass and trees. Going to the north edge of the island will take a few hours.
Mindy smiled when Gavin told her he had found pants. That was definitely good and he sounded happy about it too. She stayed where she was, waiting for Gavin to join her. She noticed the Mime Jr. walk towards her, looking around as if he was looking for something. Or someone.

"D!" Penalopy squeaked and she flew in for a hug, only revealing herself when she was behind the rack of clothes. "Hey there, how are you? Did you know Gavin likes a girl? For real!"
Following her voice, James quickly went to the clothes rack. "Please keep your voice down, miss Penalopy," he said. "You don't want to embarrass Gavin, do you?"

The Tauros stumbled and fell to his side. The Boomburst hit the Miltank who, with the added speed of the Rollout attack, slammed into the wall.
"Oh dear..." Whitney said. "Okay. I guess you two win. Congratulations! I'll give you both a badge, because you both did super-great!"

Michael sighed in relief. "Well done, Missy!" he called to his Poochyena. "You were fantastic." It was clear they still had to learn to work as a team, but he was certain they would get there. And his Fletchling definitely needed more training, that was something he'd better start working on.
He looked to Niccia, their first double-gym-battle and they had won. That was awesome.

When the Mightyena was out of sight, Saruya lay down on the grass, closing her eyes as she breathed in and out. "That was a tough battle, I'll need a moment to catch my breath." she said. "They might come back with more, I think it's wise if we won't stray from the others too far from now on. And we need to warn Niccia about them." She glanced up to Harry, she hadn't seen much of his battle and hoped he hadn't taken too many hits. They definitely needed to back soon, but she had to take a moment to rest first.

Reaching the library door, Andy held it open for Frosiien. "I believe you," he said. He also kept the door open for the Pokémon that were behind them, closing it once everyone had left. If the lore was correct he was fairly sure about who Frosiien's mother was.

Kim let out a small sigh of relief, she had seen Andy flirt before and on occasion, if the feelings were mutual, the female had ended up in his bed, spending the night. It was probably for the best things wouldn't get this far with a legendary Pokémon. She left the library and waited for Andy to take the lead again before following him.
I agree. They're talking, there's no need for unnecessary padding.
"Realistically you wouldn't last a day without getting into trouble," Andy agreed. "My suggestion would be to get used to this world from a safe place that will keep you physically alive while you will get acquainted with the human customs. If this were a horror movie the audience would collectively groan for my proposal, but I have a spare bedroom. I will need you to promise me you won't kill me or try to kill me while I sleep. Or when I'm awake. Or the vague state between the two." It was best to get everything covered, there were stories enough of people or demons being very literary when it came to such promises.

'You promised me you wouldn't kill me!' 'Only in your sleep, but you are awake, aren't you?' *evil grin*
Well, maybe he watched too many movies, but still.

He looked at the Laizu, it probably wasn't the wisest idea to invite something he didn't know to his home, but he was intrigued. This non-human being in a human body was the most interesting person he would ever meet in his life. And in the end, the only life he was risking with this was his own. If the Laizu was truly malicious he could have already tried to kill him in the stationary car, the fact he conversed instead of trying to eat him certainly was in his favour.
"I have no idea," Benjamin said. He occasionally looked in the male nurse's direction, but kept his eyes on the paper most of the time. Slowly the sketch of two birds flying over a forest emerged and he paused when he realised that. It certainly felt like the right drawing right now. "Open spaces will probably show up in my drawings for the coming time," he sighed. "I find it... therapeutic when I want to go out but can't. This one will be for you though," he looked at Dia and smiled at her. "I'll give it to Ray later."

Hopefully Ray wasn't bored, that was probably the worst part of being here.

Marc had entered the common area and joined Josh, but he watched the patients as he walked over. "Hey there," he said, although his eyes remained on Benjamin for a moment. According to the roster Josh was on the late shift today, the nurse probably had just arrived. "I saw Benjamin was talking to himself again, anything else happened here?" He glanced around, but as far as he could tell none of the other patients showed any uncommon behaviours.
