Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

Mike stared at Steph, struggling to find the right words to say. That wasn't easy.
"Maybe you can release Benjamin from your influence," Stuart Greyhill said as he approached Steph from behind. He looked at Mike. "Remember, these demons are masters of manipulation and deception."
Mike nodded slowly, that he knew. Although Steph had looked genuinely sad. He still wasn't sure what to say, but Stuart had taken the conversation over.
"Release him and we will know for sure he isn't in any danger," Stuart continued.

Mr. Johnson looked at this man, who sounded different now. And his eyes were different too. "If this beast is dangerous to you, I'd be more than happy to offer you the expertise of this agency to deal with it. And..." he leaned forward. "If you need a new body, I have young and strong agents you can have. Just say the word and I will provide a new body for you."
He would never offer his own, being in control of his own body and mind was important, but he didn't feel bad about offering one of his underlings instead.

"I believe you," Morrison stated curtly. "Hop in, we're going back."
He got behind the steeringwheel and put the key in the ignition. Before leaving, and giving Jase a chance to settle in the backseat, he took his phone and marked this area as a 'fallen angel sighting' in his personal map.
Nurse Tiffany was about to give Benjamin a piece of her mind about tackling them like that, but Benjamin smiled apologetically before she could begin. "I'm sorry," he said, "maybe the medicine is affecting my ability to assess, I thought I was going around you. I'll be in my room, I feel much better now, thanks."
Benjamin casually walked away, until he was around the corner. Then he started searching for Dia.

Marc looked at the book. "Mythological creatures are nice, they are the source for many good stories. I'm more of Sci-Fi fan myself." He ate from the pie. "I don't know how you feel about it. If you like it, there's a new scifi movie coming to the theatres soon."
He left it as an open invitation; he wasn't sure how she would react if he would end it with 'would you like to come', when they had just begun with their first date.

Andy followed Alastor with a shopping cart so he could pick the ingredients he needed for the chicken dish he wanted to make. He pointed out what could be found where and answered any question Alastor may had about the various foodstuffs found. As they were going through the store he loaded some things into the cart he knew he needed too: a bottle of white wine, milk, bananas, fresh green beans, some canned white beans, and a box with vanilla ice-cream.

It was interesting to see Alastor explore very basic things, the Laizu seemed out of place with his clothing and stature; he drew in some curious looks, but they probably just thought of him as a cosplayer of some sort. These days people could dress weirder than Alastor.
Trevor grabbed the reins of his horse and stayed alongside Noble when he could, falling to the back when necessary. He wouldn't let the future king guard the back, even if he was riding a dragon. Duncan and Gnol could lead the way to the dwarves.
Much to his dismay the old dragon let everyone pass and took a place in the rear. Having a dragon close to him didn't mean he had to talk with it, and chose not to.
"Fine with me," Trevor responded to Duncan's question. He didn't mind where they would spend the night, as long as it was a safe place.

Linda leaned into the gentle stroke, but when Ricky stopped she flew up again to sit with Meria so she could great her.
Mikhal nodded to Rai. "Lead the way please," he said before turning to Alan when he asked his question. "Well, first you need one who is curious rather than suspicious or shy towards humans and let them come to you. Then you have to, erm..." he paused as he thought about it. "I don't think I did anything special. I just talked to her and played some music and I was going someplace she wanted to see so she tagged along. How do friendships normally form? But most of her kind will hide away from humans, they are big, destructive and dangerous."

Rachel mounted Fiona when she heard Crreessa say something about floating. She looked to Seb and noticed he was indeed floating. "Everything okay with you?" she asked as he seemed to stare into the distance.
The yellow light faded as Sparky closer her eyes and he looked at Niccia when she thanked him. "I'm glad I could be of assistance," he assured her. "I've had to put Bear to sleep several times too; when he goes into rage there is very little that can calm him again. So this is not the first time I was requested to do something like this by Andy."

Mindy shook her head. "I should be thanking you! How many humans get a chance to witness something special like a gathering of Legendary Pokémon? I'm so looking forward to it! I... I may need to buy new clothes. Niccia! Do you want to go shopping with me?"
There was no way she would go to such a special event in simple day-to-day clothes. Not that she would go all gala with it, but she definitely wanted something more classy than what she wore now.

"I believe you," Bear said. "But Andy is still better!"
"Right," Benny said. "He's the best! A good researcher..."
"Handsome, for a human," Bear added. "He's obviously not a Primeape."
"No-one misses an easy throw to catch a Pokémon as Andy does!" Benny continued.
"Right! Bear said.
"Oh, come now, that only happened once," Kim came to his defence.
"He only caught five Pokémon in his life and four of the five agreed to go with him," Benny reminded her. "Merlin was the only one he caught in the wild during a battle and he missed! It was the funniest thing I ever saw!"

Michael listened to the Pokémon and smiled, contemplating he should tell his uncle how they talked about him or not. Then again, his uncle brought up his 'amazing catch' when he caught Merlin on many occasions himself.

"It is," Andy agreed, glad that Frosiien agreed to leave Michael and Niccia out of the serious talk about Darkrai for now. He heard Mindy talk about shopping and while he had no desire to dress up - people just had to accept him as he was - it would free up Gavin to have a have a talk.

Mike turned to face Steph when she greeted him and asked him if they could talk; and instantly, although it wasn't a conscious decision, he stepped back to create more distance between them. "Yeah, sure," he said, "we can talk. About what?"
He was guarded and his mind raced to go over the options. Was she tired of Ben and wanted to move on to the next target? Did Ben talk about their argument and did she consider him a threat? Or was it something completely different? Holding the book against his body with one arm, Mike moved his other hand to his pocket where he kept the charm Stuart had given him; a small, clay plate with a ruby in the center and runes etched on it. It would enable him to cast a defensive spell against demons.

Benjamin had returned to his room and started reading the first file. He had to check the information and decide, based on his experience, whether or not ghosts could have been involved in these unsolved cases. It was unlikely, but he would read them through nonetheless.

Mr. Johnson looked at the man in front of him. This talk off shadows was intriguing, but also sounded dangerous.
"And what kind of help are they expecting from me?" he said, carefully avoiding accepting or declining anything until he was certain either option was the right one, and for that he needed to know all the facts first.

Morrison nodded. "We'll inform the boss we have fallen angels then." He secured Carl in the seat. "He can decide if we leave them or take care of them." Fallen angels cases didn't always end in hunting and exterminating; it depended whether or not the angels were able to adjust to living in human society, or caused them harm.
"And if we have to deal with them," he added as he looked to Jase, "maybe you and I can hunt them down. And we'll take Ethan along. The kid has potential."
I may not make her feel good about herself with what I'm about to post either :(
Seeing Arceus? Michael felt a jab of nervousness. Would Arceus be there. Would he... approve of him with Niccia? He forced a smile on his face. "I look forward to it." It wasn't a lie, he really did look forward to witnessing Starfall, but he was less enthusiastic about meeting the Pokémon who, according to legend, had created everything.

"You can bring your human," Bear said to Dausiin. "But your human won't be able to beat Andy!"
"I don't think they will have a competition," Lytse carefully interjected.
"They will compare their humans and Frosiien will have the best one with her. I mean, he is my trainer and one has to be an awesome trainer to be mine." Bear rose his chin in the air as he said that.

"I read some research about them," Andy commented. "If that will be the case we will face some tough battles ahead." He glanced at Michael and Niccia. "Best not let the young ones know; Michael is still a bit shaken by almost being abducted by Darkrai for the second time, and Niccia... I don't want her to worry about that now. We could talk about it with Gavin, once we can tear him away from the girl he fancies."
Of course he knew Mew was older than him, but if her mind was still innocent and youthful it didn't matter how long she had lived.

Suddenly Andy heard excited sounds and noticed Sparky had let herself out. He frowned at her; he didn't know what she said, but she wasn't supposed to be outside. It was too early; they still had to figure out a plan. "Merlin," he said.
"Understood," the Noctowl replied and he flew up, landing in front of Sparkys two wingbeats later and locked eyes with her. Without warning his eyes turned yellow, using his hypnosis to let her sleep so she could be returned again.
Benjamin watched how Dia was removed from the cell and the guards were about to close the door. "Wait," he said quickly, "the deal was that if I'd take my medicine, I would be allowed to leave, right?"
"That is true."
"I'll take them now, give them."
The guards looked at each other and nodded; something of Josh's words about compassion and fear and loneliness had lingered and they decided that since that was the deal they would allow him to leave this cell, if he'd take his medicine.
"If you stay calm and take them, you are free to go."
Benjamin held out his hand and received a cup with a powder that they quickly dissolved with water. WIthout a second thought he drank it and ran out of the cell.

Tiffany looked at Dia with a strict look. "We sometimes have to force medicine on patients or put them in a safe place. We don't want that, but sometimes it's for the safety of other patients. And I don't know what a memopath is, but-" Something collided with her and she fell to the ground.

After tackling the guard who held Dia, who fell against Tiffany, Benjamin grabbed Dia and helped her up. "Run," he instructed her.

"I'm glad you're enjoying it," Marc said as he too cut a piece from the pie with his fork and brought it to his mouth. "We can come here as often as you like," he said. And of course as often as the psychiatrist would let her leave, but he didn't want to say those words out loud. "I was planning on staying here for an hour or so, read the newspaper, browse the books, and then go to a place to eat. What do you think?"

Mindy looked from Gavin to Niccia. Welcomed by legendaries as a human? How many were there?
"And I'll be there too," Michael added. "By the looks of it uncle Andy too, so you won't be the only human there.
"That's true," Mindy said and she turned to Gavin. "I'd love to come," she told him with a broad smile. "I'm honoured you invited me for such an amazing event.

Michael moved to take Niccia's hand as he looked to her. It were moments like these he could forget, for a moment, all the serious and dangerous things that had happened so far. Going to Starfall was something to look forward to and he was so glad Niccia had crossed his path.

Andy listened to Frosiien and nodded, followed by a shrug. "In this case I don't think Marshadow was more left out than any of the other legendaries, unless Darkrai spread the word too. Right now only the legendary Pokémon we met know it happened." He looked down to the keystone. "Which means we are going to have a big reveal at the party, Varina. Do you want to tell them or shall I?"

Kim had a small smile on her snout. "Thanks," she said to Soul and then turned to Benny when he left. "Did things go well at the gym?"
Benny started an enthusiastic and lengthy explanation of the battles and how Michael and Niccia had done; Kim listened to it with her tail wrapped around her body.
