Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

"I haven't spoken to Mike," Benjamin admitted. "It was Ethan who called him and he summarized the conversation for me." He looked at the slurs and the runes. "Yeah, let's see who was it. I know it wasn't Mike who did it."

"What is it I didn't do?" Mike asked as he approached them.

Benjamin wasn't sure how he felt about seeing Mike, but he gestured to the door and Mike joined them.

After going over the slurs Mike got the note from Benjamin and his expression changed as his lips formed the words written on the note and he started shaking his head. "No..." he muttered and he gripped the doorhandle, but the door didn't budge. "I think it's barricaded," he said with a rushed sound in his voice and he pounded on the door. "Steph! Open the door! Harriet and Ben are here for you!"

"How do you know she's in there?" Benjamin asked.

"That's exactly where Kim would be after leaving a note like that on the door," Mike said with a pained voice. "Where she was after she left a similar note," he corrected himself. "Shut away from the world, trying to deal with the pain herself in an unhealthy way."

That made Benjamins eyes fill with fear and now he pounded the door. "Steph, if you are in there, please open the door."

Mike stepped back now, letting Benjamin and Harriet take over.

Morisson didn't reply at first.
"That is possible," he eventually said. "It is... policy when allowing potentially dangerous creatures to be agents." He glanced sideways. "No offense, you don't look like something that would be classed in the harmless creatures category."
He wasn't sure how he felt about Jase getting such a collar; he was fairly sure Jase didn't need one or deserved one, but it wasn't his job to decide on policy.

He parked the car and cut the engine. Now he could properly face Jase. "You can't hide this and even if you can, I wouldn't put it past those fallen angels to spread the word about your existence. I think it would be better to come clean before they will start the rumours and force an investigation from our agency."

Benjamin had just opened the file when Harriet suddenly appeared next to him. "Whoa," he uttered when he moved away and slid off the bed on which he had been sitting on the edge. He quickly got up to sit down again. "Yeah, I called. I didn't know you could teleport though." He looked at Harriet. "I take it you haven't seen Steph's room then. Things are not going well and I don't know where she is. Agents, including Mike, think of her as a demon and let it be known to her they see the demon first. There was a note on her door too. Maybe you should come read it for yourself." He went to the door and gestured to Harriet to follow him. The note probably meant she had left, but to where? Benjamin's stomach turned with worry and he halted in front of the door, gesturing to the slurs and the small note as he looked at Harriet.

Mike decided to head to his room, he left the library and walked slowly to where the bedrooms were. He still tried to wrap his head around what had happened; Steph had not reacted like he had expected and it had felt very real. Was she so good at emotional manipulation, as Stuart suggested? All he had read so far seemed to agree with what Stuart had said.

Morisson glanced to the side when some kind of greenish light caught the corner of his eye. Where those... runes? He glanced to Jase who had his eyes closed briefly, until he was forced to look at the road ahead again. Humans could learn to do magic, that in itself was not an indiction Jase wasn't human anymore, but it was obvious the man had changed a lot.

When they reached the gate he pushed in the numbers on the panel, waited for the gate to open and drove through. Behind them the gate closed as he drove to the parking lot.
Penalopy joined the three guardians and hugged James. "So, what are we going to do for fun until Starfall begins?" she chimed when she suddenly remembered something. "Doesn't Celebi have a shrine in Johto? We should totally go there! Who is with me?"

Andy looked at Gavin with an unusually serious expression on his face. "Frosiien said it's possible that Darkrai could enlist the help of the Ultra-Beasts if he would need it. I don't know how well you legendary Pokémon know them, but I know very little and even I don't like the sound of that." He glanced to the direction first Niccia and then Michael had left in. "And we don't want to tell Michael and Niccia yet."

Michael went into the Pokémon center and offered his Pokéballs to nurse Joy, who promised to take care of them. Michael sat down on one of the chairs with Benny next to him.
"What do you suppose we'll do next?" Michael asked.
"There are plenty of gyms," Benny told them. "And there is a shrine in Ilex Forest, that's not far from here."
"That does sound interesting," Michael muttered, he enjoyed watching old buildings.

"Michael should take you there," Mindy said with a laugh. "He lives there." She got more serious when Niccia mentioned the stuff that had been going on. "Yeah, that. It feels like a dream, I can still barely believe I actually met legendary Pokémon in human form. I suppose people adapt differently, some can accept new information and events with relative ease, others may panic. I like to think I'm handling it okay, but it does feel overwhelming, you know." She looked at the ears and tail, at first she had thought this girl was just a mew-enthusiast, but to think this was actually Mew and she was talking with her... "Anyway, the shop is over there," she said as she pointed to the building, changing the subject.
Benjamin blinked and was about to defend himself when Josh stated he knew it was a lie, but he relaxed when Josh said he'd use it to keep them out of trouble. When Dia hugged him, he hugged her back.
"What happened?" he asked her. "Why can I hold you?" He smiled a bit. "Not that I mind," he added.

If the slight dizziness and headache wouldn't have started, this would have been the best he ever felt since he got in this place.

"Oh, right..." Marc said when Sara said it wouldn't be safe. He managed a reassuring smile when she thanked him. "Well, you know, maybe we can try to have a movie night at the institute." He handed her a tissue for her tears, it hurt to see her cry, but he loved that smile. "It won't be just us," he continued, "but it wouldn't have been at a movie theatre either. And I'm sure the patients will like to see something other than the nature channel for a change."
While he was certain the psychiatrist had a good reason for showing nature programs on tv, maybe it wouldn't be bad to show something else. Surely there were movies suitable for all patients, or they could have movie nights for small groups, so it would be easier to come up with a movie that wouldn't trigger the audience. The more he thought about it, the more enthusiastic about the idea he became.
Michael listened to Gavin, what he said was probably the reason they knew so little of Legendary Pokémon, except for some lore and legend that was the same for centuries. He grinned when Gavin said he was good for Niccia.
Penalopy joined them, wrapping her arms around Michael's neck from behind. "I didn't listen to Arceus," she said. "Well, I did hide. I can turn invisible, so that was easy, and I didn't make contact with them, but I always stayed close to humans. You know what I love about your kind? Music! You humans can make the most beautiful music. I often danced with my sister on rooftops when we listened to their music."

"We'll see who is there when it's time," Andy said. "Gavin! Now that you are lonely and abandoned, will you join us for a moment? And Benny, Michael hasn't healed his Pokémon yet, after the gym battle. Maybe you should go with him."

"I'm on it!" the Butterfree said as he flew up and went to Michael. "Come, let's go heal your Pokémon! With these Mightyena you need them to be in good shape."
"That's true," Michael said and he glanced around.
"Don't worry," Mindy's Dragonite said. "I'll look after the Pokémon here."
"And Andy, Gavin and Frosiien are here too," Benny reminded him, taking his t-shirt and tugged gently. "Let's go."
Michael nodded and followed Benny.

Going around the Pokémon Center, Mindy smiled at Niccia. She had met a few female trainers on her journey, but she had never gone shopping with one before. But this was Michael's girlfriend, so she wanted to get to know her better.
"You should come to the Rorie Island once," she said. "We don't have anything special, really, but the hot springs are nice and some islands are mostly nature and Pokémon, with only a few villages."
Mike watched Steph leave; her words had stung. Stuart seemed unphased by Steph said to him and once she was gone, he turned to Mike.
"You did well," he said. "Remember they are masters of manipulation and when seduction doesn't work, they are capable of emotional manipulation. They are cunning."
Mike nodded slowly, he felt manipulated alright, but he was unsure by who. This whole situation left him confused, but there were many cases of succubi victims. There had to be truth to what Stuart said.
"I have a meeting with mr. Johnson soon," Stuart continued. "We'll speak soon again." After a nod he left the library.
Mike stayed behind, although he felt at loss about what to do next.

After what he considered a good practice session, Ethan returned to the part of the mansion with bedrooms. It was probably best to rest a bit, as he was going to spend the night hunting vampires. He was excitited about that, but when he passed Steph's room, he stopped and frowned at what he saw. Demon Slut? Who the hell had tagged her room?
He didn't know where Ben was, but there was an easy solution for that. He grabbed his phone and texted *Dude, have you seen Steph's door? Come quick* to Benjamin.

Almost instantly a door further down the corridor opened and Benjamin emerged, his phone in his hand. He locked eyes with Ethan and approached him. When he joined him, he looked at the door and his jaw dropped.

"Do you think she saw it?" Ethan asked.

"She was going to Mike."

"Maybe she's still there." Ethan quickly went to Mike's phone number and called him. "Mike, is Steph still with you?... She left? Where did she go?" Ethan's expression changed into a serious frown and he glanced at Benjamin a few times. "Yeah, I'll talk to him." After disconnecting, Ethan turned to Benjamin. "Okay, so, Steph was with him, but she left after she asked him if he thought of her as a monster, and he told her he didn't, but that she was a demon and that he was worried about you. He said she had taken that hard and left. He doesn't know where she went."

Benjamin covered his face with his hands. "Damn it, Mike," he muttered and he pulled his hands down. "I've got to find her."

"You think she saw it?"

"Probably."

"Where do you think she went?"

"Outside, I guess. That's where I would go. But she discovered she can fly, she could have gone anywhere."

Ethan cursed as he looked at the door again. "Look, maybe she needs some time alone, okay? If she'd need you she'd have gone to you. Maybe give her some time and text her to let her know you're here for her. And maybe we should let Harriet know, she can fly and Steph is part of her team. And Harriet isn't human." He gestured to the slurs. "I'd be fed up with humans after this bullshit."

Benjamin nodded and took his phone. *Can you come to my room? I need to talk with you about Steph* he texted to Harriet.

After that Benjamin and Ethan left, each going to their room. Benjamin to go back to reading the files, although his mind was elsewhere, and Ethan to rest and hopefully get some sleep before the evening.

Morrison drove back, keeping to himelf. It was silent in the car, but he wasn't bothered by that. Most of his nightly missions were like this, speaking only when it was needed. His partner and spend most of their time together in silence.

They had left the city behind and drove over the road back to the mansion. He glanced to Carl a few times, but the man seemed to do well enough for his condition. He was glad this mission was over, he wanted to go to bed to prepare for the night.
Benjamin rounded the corner and saw Dia in the hands of the new nurse. "We have a group session," he lied as he got closer and tried to move around Josh so he could reach Dia. "I came to pick her up and we'll be on our way."
He didn't like to see her behind the nurse, especially with the look in his eyes, but what he liked even less was that he didn't see her as transparent anymore. Everyone could see her. How was that possible?

Marc listened to Sara talking about her past, it sounded like she had grown up an abusive home. Being restricted like that was never a good sign. Maybe it was for the best she was with her aunt now.
"Maybe, you would like to go to the movies once?" Marc suggested carefully. He didn't know if this was going too fast or not, but then again, they could go to the movies just as friends.

Michael nodded in response to Gavin's words as he watched Mindy and Niccia walk away. It was fantastic to meet all the legendary Pokémom. Except for Darkrai. He couldn't hold back a shudder and his grip on Lytse tightened slighly, enough for the Cyndaquil to look up and see what was wrong.
"It's amazing," Michael said, looking at Penalopy and Dausiin, who bantered with Bear. "It truly is."

Andy met Mitch's stare, it wasn't hard to see the Delibird disagreed with what was going on here. "Don't worry, I'm not minding him," Andy said as he looked at Frosiien again. "But being protective is not a bad thing. He keeps you safe, and I can't thank him enough for that. Oh, you will introduce me to your... are they your brothers or sisters?"

James joined them. "That is one thing I don't have to worry about," he said. "Miss Penalopy is impulsive and quirky; she doesn't always think before she acts and disappears at random, she rarely thinks about her safety. But she never showed interest in forming a relationship with anyone, be it human or Pokémon." He looked at Mitch. "It's not always easy being a guardian, right?"

Mindy walked around the building again and pointed to the shopping street. "It's down there somewhere. There were some cute dresses in the window." She smiled as she looked at Niccia. "Do you go shopping for clothes sometimes? Gavin seemed really awkward about it, as if it was his first time."
Mike opened his mouth and closed it again. "No," he eventually said. "You're not a monster, but you are a demon. And I worry about Ben, because Succubi are dangerous. And I haven't seen... evidence of a good one. I've been researching your kind and read files of victims and..." he had an almost apologetic look. "I don't want that to happen to Ben."

mr. Johnson watched the vessel with the entities leave. A strange meeting, and he certainly had to be careful with this one. They had said Gaia was on her way back and when he checked the GPS that seemed to be true. Judging by her speed and the distance left to cross, she would be back soon.

With the man gone he turned to his other work.

Morrison drove them back as he thought about what had happened. He remained silent during the drive, keeping his eyes on the road and his mind occupied with fallen angels, timberfae, vampires. He tried to formulate how he would report all this and couldn't stop himself from sighing. He couldn't predict how the boss would react to Jase at this point, but since he kept other non-humans in service, he would probably keep Jase too.
Michael nodded and showed a smile. "Have fun," he said. There were plenty of people around, Pokémon, Legendary Pokémon in original and human form, his uncle. He didn't feel unsafe here. He picked up Lytse. He knew he would need to heal his Pokémon, but that could wait until later. Right now it was nice being outside with everyone.

Penalopy lowered herself so she was at eye-level with the Cyndaquil. "Do you have a mate?" she asked.
"A mate?" Lytse asked and he looked at the Meloetta nodding. "N-no, and I have no desire to find one either."
"That's a pity, you're such a cutie," she floated back until she was with Gavin. "Aren't you glad you don't have to go shopping again?" she asked.

Mindy had a happy look in her eyes. "I wanna get dressed up," she said with a laugh. "Let me return some of my Pokémon," she said, going to her Dunsparce to return her. "My Dragonite will stay here," she said to Michael. "She doesn't go in a Pokéball."
With that taken care off she turned back to Niccia and took her arm. "Let's go. I saw a cute shop on the way and I want to check it out."

"It sounds like your Pokémon is getting a cold," Andy said as he moved to put his arm around her shoulders. "Although he is an ice-type, I wonder how he managed to do that. The world of Pokémon is full of mysteries!"
Was he breaking any code if he'd touch her? Did he really care? He answered the first question with a maybe and the second with a definite no. If Michael could touch, hold, hug, and kiss Niccia without lightning coming from the sky, so could he with the legendary Pokémon of his choice.
