Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

Lytse looked at Soul. "Thank you," he whispered. He wanted to say more, but it was hard to capture everything he felt in words and he hoped it was enough. What Soul did was exceptional, amazing, and he couldn't believe a Guardian would do this, but he was glad and happy and grateful. "Thank you so much," he added, which still didn't feel like it covered it, but it would have to do.

Michael didn't say anything, but he had a grateful smile for Soul. "Now you don't have to fear being alone ever again," he said to his Cyndaquil. "Not that I would ever willingly abandon you."
"I know," Lytse whispered.

Andy laughed when Frosiien asked if Benny remembered. "He should, I often remind him." He cupped a hand next to his mouth. "Hey Benny, remember that time when you drank my mead and got wasted?"
"I remember a delicious drink and a massive headache," Benny replied. "Do you remember when Merlin and I had to fly you home after a night of drinking?"
Bear started laughing.
Andy grinned and turned to Frosiien. "I don't know what he said, but I'm sure he's right."

"Michael won't know what to say when he sees you in this dress," Mindy replied. "I'm going to change again and we'll go see if there is a place where they sell ribbons." She giggled softly. "I'm sure they know that if girls go shopping it may take a while."
She enjoyed spending time with Niccia, she was a nice girl and Michael and her made a cute pair.
Benjamin frowned at Ray, it was odd she was so unresponsive. But first things first, Ari needed help. He went to the emergency button and pressed it. It didn't take long for the first nurse to arrive, it was Tiffany again. A doctor arrived soon after.
"Oh, hey," Benjamin said. "Ray is having difficulties breathing, she says it hurts. It could be the meds."

As the doctor moved in to examine Ray, Tiffany looked at Benjamin. "How are you feeling?" she asked.
"Headache," he said.
"And have you been seeing anything since you took them?"
He glanced at Ray, sitting on the bed. "Check my file, I never said I saw things all the time. But right now I don't see things I'm not supposed to see."

Marc got the hint of not going deeper into what Sara had said and nodded. "It was nice working there, the regular department was a blessing. Working with older people was a joy. The closed department was tough though, I worked with old people with dementia or other mental illnesses. I got shouted at, hit, mistaken for a son or a grandson. It never got easy, but it was fulfilling in a way." He paused as he drank from the tea. "But it was always the end of the line, we took care of them to make their last years as pleasant as possible. I hope that where I work now I can contribute to getting people back to health and see them leave through the front door."
Benjamin listened to all the things Steph was sorry for and didn't belong to as he kept an eye on the wounds. "Honestly," he began when she was done, "Mike and I will probably argue about this again in the future if he continues to be shortsighted in the matter, but real friendships can survive disagreements and I know Mike values our friendship as much as I do. As for the rest of it." He shrugged. "It's not your fault you are a demon or that I fell in love with you. And if you feel like you don't belong here, maybe you should look for a place you can feel at home and if you want to do that alone I will let you, but I won't stop loving you. And I don't know what I deserve or who even gets to decide what someone deserves, but I don't want someone else and I'm not even going to look for someone else." He touched her cheek to wipe away some of the tears. "I love you, horns and wings included. Shall we go to the infirmary and see if they can help us with the wounds?"

Mike stepped back when Harriet showed her sharp teeth in her grin and suggested scaring the culprits into submission; he was certain he didn't want to be a part of that.
"I-I don't think I can help you," he said with a stutter caused by a sudden spike of fear. For the first time he was uncomfortable with being with Harriet alone.

"Then don't laugh," Morisson said, as if it was that simple.
He helped Carl on a bed that another nurse rolled in and then watched the nurses riding him to the back for treatment.

"Shall we report to the boss?" he asked without looking at Jase.
"Thanks,", Lytse said, "but I don't really believe it. Ever since we came to the mainland dangerous things happened and Darkrai took Michael twice. He'll do it again, and what happens to me when Michael is gone?"

Michael picked up his Cyndaquil and hugged him. He couldn't really comfort him; the only promises he could make were ones he wasn't sure he could keep. He could promise his Cyndaquil nothing would happen to him, but how could he keep such a promise? Soul had already told him things would be fine and that hadn't helped either. Maybe he would just hold him for now, the way Lytse cuddled into his arms made it clear he wanted to be held right now.

"No, that's okay," Andy said to Frosiien as he looked at Gavin. "Maybe another time. But since we're on the subject of drunk Pokémon, I can tell you I had the opportunity to examine a drunk Butterfree once. I had poured mead in a glass, good quality mead, it smelled like honey. Naturally, Benny was attracted to the scent and before I realised it he had downed the glass. First I was afraid he would get alcohol poisoning, because he has such a small body and he's not used to alcohol, but when he remained conscious and he flew around drunk... it was hilarious."

"You too!" Mindy said as she hugged back. "You have to buy that dress, if you need it I can even pay for you." She grinned when she let go fo Niccia again. "We won't show them to the boys and surprise them when StarFall begins." She touched the red ribbon in her hair. "I will need to get a yellow ribbon in a similar colour as on the dress though."
Benjamin looked at Ray, speaking with Ari's voice, and then at Ray who was no longer in her body. He rubbed his forehead, the headache was getting annoying. "Ari..." he said as he held her, but he soon looked back at Dia. "If she gets trouble breathing we have to get someone from the staff, it could be an adverse or allergic reaction to the meds and they have things that can save her life."

"Yeah, of course," Marc said, feeling instant regret for his words. "You've lived there for a long time, haven't you? When I started working here you were already helping as staff. I worked at a nursing home before, first a regular floor, then I moved to the closed department. I worked there for a couple of years and then I moved to this city and took a job here."
Okay, it was nice roleplaying with you and best of luck :)
"Mike told me what happened between you two," Benjamin stated. "And what happened here is awful." He went back to Steph and crouched down in front of her. "You survived a gun-shot wound. Do I have to take care of your wounds, or do you think you will heal on your own?"
He wanted to ask how the wounds on her back and around her horn had happened, but since she hadn't mentioned people being in her room that had assaulted her, he had a pretty good idea how the wounds had gotten there. And he didn't like that implication, but he wasn't sure what the best way to deal with it was. He wanted Mike's opinion, but he thought his friend may not be ready to be confronted with self-harm again.

Mike made an amused sound. "Seeing this, they probably want to talk with a human. And Steph is in your team, I think protocol demands you report this to the boss. You'll have to check on Steph's condition before you report though." He gestured to the door. "you can't say what happened without knowing the full extent of what happened."

Alastair rolled his eyes at Carl's mumble. "Yeah, like evade fucking tools that are hurled at you."
Going around the building, he went to the entrance of the infirmary and pushed a button at the side, making the double door swing open.
A nurse approached when she saw the doors open to see how was entering.
It's important research Andy wants to do *nods*
After leaving his Pokémon in the care for nurse Joy Michael had returned just in time to see Gavin being nauseous and the Meloetta turning invisible and leave. When he joined Lytse and saw he wasn't happy about something, he knew something had happened. That feeling increased when Soul seemed defensive. "What," began.
"Nothing," Bear interjected. "Just a female being overdramatic."
"It takes one to know one," Benny teased.
"I'm not a female!"
"No, but you like being dramatic sometimes."
Bear grumbled something and Benny giggled.

"You're robbing me of the opportunity of feeding you another whiskey," Andy complained and he turned to Frosiien. "As a researcher, I think it is vital research to get Gavin drunk and see what happens, but so far he is an unwilling test-subject. It's so hard to be a Pokémon researcher sometimes."

Mindy followed Niccia to the changing rooms and took the one next to her. She undressed and put the dress on. After checking herself in the mirror, she left the booth to see if Niccia was ready too. She both wanted to see her and get an opinion on how she thought the dress looked on her.
"Does it fit?" she asked Niccia through the closed curtain.

I understand your concerns, getting Alastor back is the main plot-point and if we can't get that to work, the RP will just be slice-of-life with Alastor slowly adjusting to a life as human. There will be no real end to it and won't bring new interesting problems to deal with.

If you want to cancel, that's okay with me.

If you want to know if I have any ideas to get Alastor back, the only thing I can think of is a cave or a hidden temple with mysterious runes. Andy's brother is an archaeologist and could have found this cave or temple with the team during an excavation, and tells Andy about it, who then tells Alastor about it.
