Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

Because before getting into the land of the dwarves we'll come across fortresses at the border between the human kingdom and the dwarven kingdom. If we were to run into any trouble along the way because the men of the king catch up, Trevor will know one fortress our group will be safe, because his friend and a commander of the army is stationed there.
At Gnol's remark about his death stare, Trevor glared at the dwarf. This journey could be pleasant if others wouldn't bother him. His horse was calm, surprisingly so considering there were dragons here.
"You trained your horse well," the big dragon in the back rumbled.
"I have no use for a skittish horse," Trevor replied curtly.

"I'm afraid of heights," Meria stated. "If the dragons will walk I'll gladly accept the invitation to ride on one, but if they will fly, I will walk."
"But flying is fun!" Linda said as she flew around Meria's head.
"For you, perhaps," Meria replied.
Mikhal turned to Meria. "I wouldn't let you walk alone," he said. "When Bäckahäst joins us we could fly, Bäckahäst is certainly fast enough to keep up with them, but until then I guess it will be walking pace." He gestured to Alan. "And he is right too; if anyone is looking for dragons they will see us flying. Going the first part on ground is probably safer."

Rachel gave Fiona a tap on her neck and the yellow dragon beat her wings and lifted into the sky. It looked like everyone was ready and it was time to fly to their base. The place would probably be deserted; the Silver Order had too many casualties. It hurt to know she would never see many of the riders she had known so well.
"Fantastic," Andy said to Frosiien. "With a beautiful woman like you cheering for us we can't lose." He listened to Varina and then to Frosiien's translation of her words. "We'll let Bear have his fun first," hesaid to Varina. "Before we do any gym battles I want to see how you do against Benny."

"Less talk, more fighting," Bear said as he grabbed Andy's arm and started pulling him along. "This way, I know where the gym is."
"Oh, sure Bear, lead the way," Andy said, guessing Bear wanted to fight now rather than later. He looked back to his Pokémon. "Who is with us?" He saw Merlin snooze and Benny waving goodbye as he flew around Michael, so they wouldn't come along, but Kim quickly followed him.

Lytse finally started to feel at peace, even the mention of the Mightyena didn't make him afraid. Soul would protect him and Michael was with him. Things were fine, for now. He looked up when he heard Andy ask about who was with him, but he saw Michael didn't move, so it looked like they would stay here.

The woman behind the counter smiled as she scanned the item and told Niccia the price as it showed up on the display. A colleague of hers opened a second cash register and Mindy gave her dress, paying for it with a card. She noticed the drowsy Pokémon at her feet.
"Niccia," Mindy said as she received the bag and thanked the employee for it, "your Pokémon is here."
@SporkoBug Hey, question. How would you feel like an Andy-like character in the RP? I have a medieval version of him and in that story he and Trevor are friends.

Congratulations :)
Andy turned his attention to Varina. "What you did was remarkable." He examined the Spiritomb. "I wonder if everyone throws up like that if you possess them," he muttered, more to himself than to Varina. "And if that is something only you can do, or all Spiritombs, or all ghost types." He took a small notebook and wrote down the questions her possession of Gavin had caused. "I definitely need to study ghost types more closely," he decided.

Bear grabbed Michael by the arm and pulled him to Andy. "Translate boy," he said to Michael. "Gym battle. Now. I want to take on that Miltank."
Michael, who waited until his uncle was done writing in his notebook and looked at him, decided on a loose translation. "Bear wants you to challenge Whitney to a gym battle, he wants to fight her Miltank."
Bear nodded enthusiastically.

"Sure," Andy said. "We can do that." He turned to Gavin. "Will you celebrate the victory with me? I left all my friends at Rhando and you're the most adult guy I can hang out with." Then he turned to Varina. "And we work best when we have women cheering for us," he said to her. "Will you watch our heroic battle?"
Kim giggled. "He calls everything a heroic battle," she told Varina.
"But you will cheer for us, right?" Bear asked Kim.
"Of course I will."

Mindy changed back in her normal clothes and took the dress she'd buy with her. After leaving the changing room, she looked for Niccia. When she found her, she quickly went to her. "Ready," she said. "I'm going to pay for mine. Do you want to browse some more?"

The doctor examined Ray's lungs and heart rate. "Looks like side-effects," he said. "She'll need oxygen. Get a stretcher and get her into the infirmary. I'll administer new medicine there."
One nurse rushed out of the room to get a stretcher.

Benjamin looked at Ray, she finally woke up from whatever apathetic state she had been in. "Will she be okay?" he asked.

"Don't worry," the doctor said as he turned to Benjamin. "She is in good hands."

That was something Benjamin doubted, but Ari really was having diffulties and maybe the doctor could really help her. He glanced to Ray to see what she was doing, while trying to make sure no-one noticed he was looking at nothing again. He rubbed his head.

"Are you okay?" the doctor asked.

"Headache. Took my medicine for the first time."

"Good. You'll feel better with it."

Benjamin flashed a smile, he doubted it, but if the docteo wanted to believe that, that was fine with him.

Marc stared at Sara when she shared her concern. "That would be bad, but we are trying to make them better, right? We follow the treatment plan of the psychiatrist..." his voice trailed off, Susanna hadn't been catatonic when he had arrived. The psychiatrist had assured him she had been on the path of becoming catatonic, but Sara's words made him doubt. That male patient, Simon, that had gone home so abruptly... "I mean," he continued, "doctors do want their patients to get better, right?" He sounded as if he wanted to believe that and he looked at Sara in the hopes to get a confirmation.
Hm, wasn't it something like Barrow?

...

I like Barrow, if it wasn't that, I say we pretend it was always that.
Now I'll have to read back, I forgot what name I gave the partner of agent Morisson XD
Benjamin returned the hug and gently stroke her hair. Some blood from her wrist and droplets that fell from her head landed on his clothes, but that was the last of his worries. Steph had come back to him. He held her tight. There were several things he wanted to say, but Mike's words kept him from doing that. Don't make this about you
"Steph, shall we ask for a new room for you? Or would you like to stay at mine?"

Mike relaxed a bit when Harriet showed her usual gentle smile and didn't talk about violence anymore. He nodded when she mentioned giving the culprits an earful of her mind. He didn't mind how much she would scold them, but the implications of before were something he didn't want to be a part of.
"I don't really have any plans for the night," he said. "You?"

With a gesture of his hand, agent Morisson allowed Jase to take the lead. He certainly didn't mind to be on first-name basis with Jase, but he did wonder what his regular partner would think of all this. He was less accepting of all those beasts and unknown creatures, and it was part of the reason they were able to hunt so well together. Vampires, werewolves, demons, they had hunted them all, but vampires were their speciality.
