Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

"Oh, Ari." Benjamin grinned at the hug, but his eyes were on Dia. "That's great. I'm happy for you."
He gently pulled her arms away - he understood the excitement and he really was happy for her, but there was more on his mind and he couldn't share the same enthusiasm. "Is this why Ray lost her connection with you?" he asked Ari. "She suddenly flipped out and accused Dia of doing something to you."
It was somewhat reassuring to hear he was trying his best, but it sucked his best wasn't good enough to do something. He glanced at his uncle, who stood with his arms crossed and kept an eye on his Pokémon. He seemed okay with not doing much more than observing.
He returned to his Cyndaquil and Eros, and sat down with him. His other Pokémon, who had realised things had gone wrong, joined him. Anthony, still young and inexperienced, decided the best thing to do was to stay close to him.
Saruya, on the other hand, turned to him and asked: "Is there anything you'd like me to do?"
"Something is going on at the gate, two Legendary Pokémon turned into their Pokémon form and uncle send his Pokémon there as well."[/i]
The Arcanine nodded and rushed to offer her assistance there.

Gathaar and Handeer followed suit and summoned their items. It looked like they'd have to fight and neither was looking forward to it.
Gathaar narrowed his eyes when he noticed Ra and Luna had transformed to their original form again; the wouldn't do that without good reason.
But if Arceus was dark and another threat came through that gate, there would have to fight.
"Necrozoma..." Handeer said as he looked in that direction. He had expected Darkrai, but Necrozoma was equally unwelcome.

"Arceus is allowed to invite who we wants," Ra growled. "Don't tell me you don't know why you weren't invited."
He noticed other Pokémon joined him, Pokémon he had seen on the party and of who he knew belonged to the Humans. He wouldn't tell them to go away. "Be careful," he instructed them.
Chiyoko smiled politely. "Nukekubi," she stated. "They caught me as I was feeding and Lily took an interest in me. I probably would have been disposed of if that hadn't been the case." She sipped from the water. "I've seen some come and go, and my suggestion is to just cooperate with them. It's not so bad when you do. But since you're agents, I'm sure you'll be treated well. I offered to work for them, but so far they haven't gotten back to me about that."
She only glanced briefly at the dragon woman taking the boy with her - that was still something she didn't understand. Why was a boy here? It didn't seem like anything Lily would take an interest in.

"We're in town, I've been hunting vampires." He examined her for a moment. "You look like shit, what the hell happened? When you left you looked like you were going to murder people." He was about to say something about Steph and Gaia, but he decided Harriet was better off focussing on herself now.

He didn't notice agent Barrow walking away from the group and take his phone to send a text to the boss that Harriet had returned and seemed in a confused state of mind. Agent Morrison stayed with them and just watched Ethan and Harriet with his arms crossed over his chest.
Voting and feedback thread has been created, go check the entries out. The 2 entries both have a little over 500 words, so it shouldn't take up too much of your time to read them ^_^
He knew it was best to check on dia and Ari first, and that he shouldn't rush to Ray right now, but a part of him still wanted to go there.

It wasn't long before they reached Ray's room and after making sure no-one of the staff was around - he had no business in Ray's room with her in isolation - he opened the door and quickly stepped inside.

His eyes settled on the two women who used to be transparent. "What happened?" he asked, moving his eyes from Dia, although they lingered there for a moment, to Ari.
With 2 entries of just over 500 words, a voting period of 1,5 week should be enough. If needed I can extend it.

I hope you'll enjoy reading these 2 stories.

Welcome to the Voting and Feedback round for RPGC#32!

Voting and Feedback guidelines

  • Please take your time to read through all the entries before voting for your favourite work. The reasons you base your vote on are up to you, as long the vote isn’t based on whether or not you like the author.
It would be nice if you could share why you voted for a specific work.
  • Giving feedback is optional but highly encouraged. When giving feedback you should be respectful and constructive. It’s good to point out any flaws or the things you feel could be improved or why you didn't like something, but don’t be mean.
Make sure to point out what you liked or what appreciated in the entry too.
  • Contestants may and are encouraged to vote for and give feedback for the other entries, but don’t vote for your own entry. If contestants wish to withhold a vote and only give feedback, that is good too.
  • The entries are anonymous unless the writer asked for having their name added. That being said, writers may claim their work at any time during the voting period.
  • The entry with the most votes will win, but in case of a tie a Contest Mod will cast the tie-breaker vote.
  • You can vote for entries and post your feedback in this thread, but if you rather have your vote and/or feedback be anonymous you can PM it to @Calle.
  • The voting period deadline is July 12th, 9:00 CET, which is 7:00 server time (both times are in a.m.).

The Entries

I have 2 entries. The voting and feedback thread will be created later today.
Michael had his hand on Eros's head when Soul came over and asked for the feather. He quickly went to his back and pulled it from it, handing it to Soul. While he really wanted to help Niccia, there wasn't much more he could do. He hated not being able to fight for Niccia, but at least he could mean something for Eros at this point.

Gathaar and Handeer shared a glance of concern; this gathering was not going as either had expected. Even without Darkrai attending, things were going bad. If their father would turn dark...
More fellow Legendaries drew nearer as the wanted to know what was going on with their father. Some tense, as if they were ready to flee if things would get worse.

Mindy noticed something was wrong; the way some of the legendary Pokémon were reacting to Arceus, and othes to the gate. She almost jumped up, but her Decidueye was quick to stand next to her and put a wing on her shoulder.
He knew this wasn't something his trainer better not get herself involved in. Not now, at least.

The Typlosion that guarded Ra quickly joined them when he heard the whistle.
Ra had shifted into his Pokémon form and stood proudly in front of his children. He was used to fight like this, and with Necrozoma in his Pokémon form too, they were more equal this way.
"What bring you here," he growled.

The last 24 hours have begun.
