Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

Heroes from the sky, Fenna wasn't sure how she felt about that title. Sure, rescueing a little girl could be considered a heroic act, but they were somehow meant save a whole more than just this village. With a grim expression she made one promises to herself: if it would lead to a way back home, she'd save the entire damn universe.

There was no reason not to trust Adam with the map, so she followed him. As they left the village, she stayed at the back of the group. The plan to camp at sunset was a sensible one and she didn't voice an objection to it, opting for silent approval. Others in the group started chatting amongst themselves and the farmer whistled. It often amazed her how easy it was for some people to engage in small talk. Her attention was drawn to Clive when he addressed her.

"That has more to do with all that hero stuff," she told him. "I honestly don't remember dying, but I am worried about being so far away from my family. I hope I can return to them."
It was true worrying about the details of how they got here wouldn't help them much and she appreciated the down-to-earth mentality of the farmer. She knew farmers like that back home, heck even her grandfather would say things like that. The thought of the skeletons returning made her glance over her shoulder, but no creatures were there. The area was strangely peaceful after the village had almost been overrun. Clive had a point though, there was no reason to assume those skeletons had been the only ones. She clutched the spear and focussed on the group again. Adam seemed to discuss the cube he had found with the latest arrival. That was a strange thing, but something she could provide no insight in.

She had a feeling someone, or something, was watching her, but she couldn't pinpoint it. A bird of prey soared high in the sky, other than that nothing seemed to be around, aside from their group and some small animals like birds and bugs. A part of her didn't like this peaceful silence.

"I'm sorry if you consider my silence rude," she said to Clive. "I'm not at ease in this world." She looked around as she said this, instead of facing on the farmer.
Vivian came to the padded room and examined Ray for while before turning to the guards next to the door. "Bring her downstairs," she told them. "For treatment. I will visit her later today."
The last patient she had ordered to go to the basement hadn't lasted very long and it looked like Ray was in the perfect position and physically strong enough to be her next victim. She smiled to herself as she stepped away so the guards could do as they were told.

Meanwhile, Benjamin sat next to the door that would lead to the enclosed garden, resting his head against the wall. He heard his name through the intercom that he was supposed to report to the head office, but he paid no attention to it. He couldn't care less about what they wanted, they didn't care about what he wanted either.
I was unexpectedly busy the past few days, but I'll read up and post a.s.a.p.
"Agreed," Fenna said as Clive suggested preparing for the journey ahead. She watched the sarcophagus as Clive mentioned the person in it would need help, but as others were already rushing to their aid Fenna remained where she was. There was no reason to crowd the new arrival needlessly. "Looks like she has all the help she needs," she commented. "Good job on the skeletons, by the way."

Maybe now was a good moment to check the travel supplies they had been given, and the pouches on her belt. For some reason, this place had given her clothes and items she hadn't owned before. There were definitely useful items for trekking through the unknown land, but she missed the modern-day tools back home. Thinking about home hurt, so she returned her focus to the here and now instead. She had seen a map and compass in Adam's hands and she definitely wanted to have a look at that as well, but he was tending to the new arrival so that would have to wait for a better opportunity.

She looked up when MacKensie asked her if everyone had gotten out safely. "Thankfully, yes," Fenna replied. "The last ones to leave were a mother and her child and the evacuation went smoothly." She smiled at the younger woman as she mentioned she hoped she'd stay as strong as her. "With the bravery you showed when you went to the gate to protect the people here, there is no doubt in my mind you possess a great strength yourself. I'm sure we'll get through this."

@PerfectThoughtI'll have a look this evening.
Fenna pushed Zell's arm off her shoulder. "Fenna," she answered the question. "And I don't remember dying," she added.
Was it true? Was she really dead, or was there a magic involved that had pulled her from earth and dropped her into this realm? At this moment she asumed the latter as there was definitely magic here, but there wasn't any evidence for either option. It stung knowing how far away she was from her husband and children, but tried not to let it get to her. Surely if they had gotten here there had to be a way back too, right? Hadn't the commander mentioned mages and scientists?

"Maybe we can find the answer we are looking for in Valhiem," she said as she crossed her arms and she looked from one to the other. "We will drop that thing off, and ask the mages and scientists have any idea how we got here, as none of us seems to know how that happened. If there is an answer to our question, it has to be there."

A townsguard approached her holding a metre-long spear with something claw-like at the end and waited until she was done speaking. "Excuse me, ma'am," he said politely. "I was doing a round in the village to see if any enemies were left behind and I found this in the, ehhh, stone box you emerged from."
Fenna took it from him, she must have missed it before, with the shadows at the bottom and everything that was happening. Her fingers folded around the wooden shaft and she nodded a thanks to the man.

"I hope we'll be able to help him," Michael agreed. If his father was okay, that'd be one worry less. Necrozoma's problem wouldn't be easily solved, but he was certain they'd be able to help. They both had a great team of Pokémon companions after all.
"Who is Vatier and what do we need to do for him?" Lytse asked. He had been with these legendary's and he wasn't aware of what Michael and Niccia had discussed at the gate.

"I do," Andy replied when Puth said he did fantastic work. "Thank you. And if it'll ease your worries, I can speak to Pokémon now, but I can't use any of what they tell me for research as I will need to prove my wild theories," he explained. "If I were to make a report on Starfall and all the human-looking legendary Pokémon drinking berry juice, I'd get thrown out of the lab pretty quickly for being unscientific and making up very unbelievable things."

"Very noble of you," Harcu said. "I never felt like that over my siblings. I wouldn't let harm come to them if I could stop it, all life is sacred after all, but I feel no urge to protect them. They can take care of themselves." He nodded a bit to himself. "The sibling vibe does seems to be strong among Mew and Mewtwo. I wonder how it will play out for them, the one who seems to be most concerned about the new Mew is that Furret over there. She'd make a fine Guardian is she didn't belong to a human trainer already."

"Shall we have a look?" Jirachi floated a bit in the direction of Kim and the snoozing young one. "I think this is the first Starfall we had someone hatch!"
Morrison halted at the entrance and glanced left and right before going outside. He stayed close to the wall and waited for the others to join him as he kept his eyes on the area around them. Of course Ethan was a full agent, but he was also young and Morrison would make sure he'd make it out alive.

Ethan joined him outside, he too kept his guard up as they waited for the other two to join them. The sound of an owl came from a nearby tree and something flew past them, a bat probably. It was too small to be dangerous. There was another sound and he aimed his gun at a bush, but through the infrared he saw what looked like an imp. Harmless, really. He had seen the creatures on his first assignment with Gaia and he had caged several of them. Mike had smiled when he had told him about it, saying that if the bars hadn't been made of silver or iron, they weren't likely to keep imps in. It had been a wooden cage. At first he had felt annoyed to have been sent on a pointless task, but he had realised it was probably a test to see if he could catch them, not to keep them prisoner. Probably a good thing, he wouldn't want the little created to explode with the rest of the building.
Fenna had joined the fallen commander, but it looked like the fighting was over. She stayed silent when he called over the druid and listened to his words, even though they weren't directed at her. The skeleton's heart? Was that what had emitted the purple beams?

She frowned as the commander explained about the war. She had to agree with him, stone coffins indeed didn't simply fall from the sky in normal situations and how they had gotten here was a mystery to her as well.

An army of the undead was unlikely to be the good guys, especially since they attacked a village like this. They would have killed that girl if they hadn't intervened. Fenna cast her eyes to the ground as she thought about it. War was something she only read about or saw on the news, never had she experienced fear or death as closely as now. And having to see your fallen comrades be resurrected and fight against you, that had to be awful. Fenna wasn't sure how she felt about being destined to do something in this strange world, it all sounded very important and there wasn't much reason to believe she could make a difference, but these villagers seemed even less capable of doing so.

She nodded to Adam when he said he'd do it. "I'm in," she said. "I understand there is haste, but I agree that if we're going to travel for two days on foot we'll need to have some supplies with us, food and water at the very least. And a small rest for the injured." She glanced at the satchel the guard carried, 1000 silver? They'd have to split that, the satchel seemed rather heavy and would definitely hinder if they were going off-road.
