I have consumed far to much garlic bread. My hubris has doomed me once again.

"No one can escape the fate given to them.
All that remains is the end, where you will all perish.
Eternal greatness exists only within myself.
Sing a song of sorrow in a world where time has vanished."

My 1x1 thread, because I'm a shameless hack.

Explosions. And nearby, too. It sounded like artillery fire. But why out here? Was this Dark Lord out here? Ysran watched as Elyria cast another sort of protection spell, and as Caractacus fell flat on his ass. Ysran would have laughed, but now wasn't the time. "Well, the way I see it, we either wait this out, or investigate. Both really aren't good options. I could send Chuckles out to scout, but they might attack on sight."

He grabbed his equipment from beside the fire. His sword, crossbow and whatever was in his pack. He could always Commune, but that really didn't seem like a good idea at the time, and the Elders don't like having their time wasted. He then heard Elyria say something about some sort of armor spell. He could cast Fishscales on a few of the zombies, but then again, they were already covered in scaled, so it wouldn't have much effect. None of his other spells would really be of any use here. All that was left to do was wait. Or... "We could just run to the next town and try to avoid this all together, or for all we know, they're planning on attacking the city. That explosion might have landed there."
Medic? She was a medic! Somebody needed help. She turned to the source of the call. Two figures could be seen. One standing, and the other was collapsed in the other's arms. Unfortunately, about this time is when the swarm started advancing, leaving the newly healed man behind she raced towards the two. Grabbing a steak knife from a nearby table, she tried to run around the outskirts of the swarm, wildly slashing at anything that would come close.

She had At last made it to the two Epics. The one holding the collapsed epic she remembered seeing before. Dragon, was it? Something like that. The other was... unrecognizable. She looked like some Power Ranger wannabe or something, but decided that probably wasn't the best thing to say out loud. "Hey, I can help. I'm Monica." Monica raised her hand to gather solar energy. It was either that or her phone's battery. Or she could always take it from someone else if she really needed to.

She pressed her free hand onto the fallen Epic. She was wearing some sort of suit, so she didn't know if this was even working."Does this thing come off? I need to see if she's severely injured somewhere."
The fighting had finally died down. Monica walked out from her hiding space to view the aftermath. The swarm rats were dead, taken out from various Epics and police officers. Many people looked semi-injured, and were being led to nearby ambulances which had just arrived. Well, looks like she'd finally be of some use. First were a few civilians. Most has a few cuts and bruises. Nothing life-threatening. Looking around the various injured people, everybody seemed to have some sort of care.

But then her attention came to a young man, covered in blood. He... didn't look so good. As Monica made her way over to him, she realized that he was also nearly naked, just in a pair of boxers. Well, she'd seen lots of naked people in her line of work, so she simply put the thought aside. That only brought her attention to several dead swarm rats around him. She guessed he was quite the fighter.

After making to him, she introduced herself. "Hey there. I'm Monica. You might know me as Yeagnasae. Mind if I fix you up?" Before he could answer, Monica had a hand raised towards the sky, trying to use and sort of sunlight to power her...power. She placed her other hand on him and watched as his wounds closed and were healed in no time at all. "Well, I think that should do it."
So could I just walk through Spectrum's shield? Or would it need to be down first?@Regitnui
Not to worry I'll use my healer powers to feel useful and judge you silently as you make various mistakes, thus creating more work for me.
Granted, but you have used up your one wish.

I wish I knew how to make really good sandwiches.
Weebs! All of you!
@bluetommy2 Meh, I personally prefer chaotic neutral. That way I can just do whatever I want.
"Well, I think I'm just gonna head home." She said to no one in particular. As much as she loved people, she really didn't know anybody, and to be honest, they kind of freaked her out. That, and drinking alone wasn't really on her to-do list. She stood up and stretched out her muscles. Much better. Sitting in a chair for an hour really puts a damper on your cognitive functions. Heh, then again that was basically her life for twenty some years. She pulled put her phone. Nothing new, just a game alert for Pixel Dungeon. Hmmm... well, she could always stay a little longer and goof around on her phone. Battery life was at 90%. She supposed hanging out just a little longer couldn't hurt. She sat back down and took another sip of Champagne. Ew. Why did she do that? That was nasty. Right, game time.

Let's play... Yu-gi-oh Duel Links. That sounded fun. She liked the game, but didn't have much time to play it. That, and you needed Wi-Fi to play. Speaking of which... she needed a network to play on. Oh boy, looks like there's some unprotected Wi-Fi nearby. She'd be taking that. Ok, game time for real. Oh boy. Updates. Her favorite... luckily, the update wasn't to big, and was downloaded in no time.

Minutes passed as she ripped through the NPCs with her Water/Earth deck. Well, as much as she liked winning, some PVP seemed to be in order. Searching... and... found one! Mikey231. Really? That's your screen name? Whatever. The battle was... unremarkable to say the least. The guy clearly didn't know what he was getting into. She'd have to gain a few ranks before she'd fight any real opponents. Time to start the grind.
