Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

I’m down for flashbacks. I don’t feel particularly comfortable co trolling Maren myself, perhaps someone you trust can do that Polybus. I know I gotta lotta exposition Malakaus could dump.

@Strange Rodent

Early morning I think and I dunno how the weather is like in the city, so it could still be dark even at dawn. I just know that the siege is long over and there has been a timeskip. Presumably people are now in the process of cleaning up or at least awakening from the siege.
@Strange Rodent

Just so you know the siege is over now, and it’s not even night anymore. Presumably the raiders didn’t get to your place during the battle but feel free to embellish, they did manage to get inside of the city and all the way to the docks after all.
@Ladypug

Works for me. I could see ye old captain needing some breathing space off to the side on his lonesome while my orc dude charges in the front. Worse comes to worse I’ll just keep detailing what Malakaus is doing at the camp until someone talks to my dude.
@Ladypug

If it’s any consolation, you can ignore my orc dude and let Polybus hear him. Dudes pretty loud.
With everyone back in the cave, things seemed at peace for now. The fire was considerably more lively though still fairly small, and if the Pokémon rationed carefully they would still have berries left over. They have tasted battle against an unusual enemy and there was a certain sort of dread that lingered in the cave. Questions left unanswered. The storm continued on with occasional thunder and lightning, and it didn’t seem to let up at all.

Indeed, there was no sign of the storm stopping. The opposite actually; seemed like the weather was only getting worse. Wind blew into the cave and with it cave rain water which threaten to flood the cave and put out the fire. The skies darkened as it drew closer to nighttime; of the young Pokémon choose to stay here in the cave there was no garuntee they could stay warm or even see anything. Only Vi and Ravi would have some limited darkvision, and even then that wouldn’t let them see through the thick cover of rain and wind that still roared outside of the cave.

But there was still time before night fell. The you glings can decide their fate for themselves. To wait here for a better tomorrow, or to seek out answers on their own. Whatever their choice and tough destiny lies ahead.
Zanavy already told me a few weeks back she’d be less active for a bit, I’m assuming they’re still going through some issues. Until they tell me they have to leave or literally don’t show up on the site for a few weeks, I’m in no rush to replace em.

In any case I can do some weather updates but unless y’all leave the cave won’t be much else happening cept rain and thunder.
I could post something tonight, feel free to converse among yourselves. Do you all want me to do a timeskip to a few hours ahead or such, or would you rather see how things play out? I can tell you right now I don’t have anything major planned to happen within the next twelve hours or so, so it’s essentialy downtime right now.
At the camp, the orcs took a well deserved rest. Most of the men went to sleep or to nurse their wounds, with their wives and other women folk assisting them. But for Malakaus and a few others, their work had just started. The orc tribes of this area had a specialty that Malakaus purposely sought them out for, and it wasn't for their scouting or swordsmanship; it was their proficiency with smithing. A rare talent for people who dwell in swamps, but they often harvested iron from the bogs and occasional vein hidden within the murky depths, and their ability to work with such crude metals and turn them into effective weapons is something that Malakaus wanted from them. Their issue had always been gaining access to higher quality metal, but now that isn't an issue thanks to the battlefield plunder. The men, including Malakaus, quickly got to work constructing field forges to smelt the metal into ingots, stripping wood and leather from the weapons and armor to save for later. The siege weapons they took had also been broken down to their base components so that they could be repurposed at a later date, either as siege weapons once more or something else entirely.

Malakaus of course couldn't stay up for long. As much as he wanted to continue working his mother soon pulled him away in order to get his wounds tended to. He tried to hide it but his mother knew how hurt he was, so he had to rest that night. Fortunately by the time morning came, his camp was abuzz with activity. Any steel that wasn't claimed as a trophy was being smelted down into ingots so they could later be proceeded into more orcish weaponry. The men went on their patrols to ensure their camp was safe, while the chiefs and commanders went back to their clan to report of their success. With the two clans under Malakaus's loyalty, he had a more reliable army than just his own clan. Which of course he still needed to deal with as well; right now he was acting as the impromptu warlord, and without the chief's backing Malakaus wasn't sure how long he could continue his campaign. But once he finishes his talks with Maren, Malakaus knew he could return and make a solid claim for himself. "Ah politics. A more dangerous battlefield than war to be sure." The half-orc grumbled as he went to get himself something to eat.

Meanwhile Malakaus's messenger was still within the city. He had rested outside for a while before entering the city at first dawn. Wasn't long before the guards approached him but he did not falter. He remained polite but firm in his singular request: He needed to see Maren Trevoste and deliver his message to her directly. He would not divulge the information to anyone else. Most of the guards were wary; they knew the orcs had helped them, but for what reason they didn't know, and the messenger certainly wasn't telling. The only thing they could do was escort the lone warrior towards the temple where he could wait for Maren to find him. Even so they didn't let him go alone, with at least four guards escorting him along the way. However compared to the warrior they were scrawny and scared; the orc himself wore tough looking armor and had an axe and a sword on his belt, brutish yet effective in it's design. Soon they approached the temple and before the soldiers could go the orc spoke up loudly.

"Where is Maren Trevoste? I have a message for her from my warlord. It is an urgent message for her safety and everyone else's."
@Ridlins

I can take em with my one-two killer combo attack! If all else fails I'll shout at em really loudly and gtfo.
