The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio

A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

@Heckno12 What will the monks think of Sophia?

Yeah, I'm probably going to have her screw up the gym battle.
@keyguyperson @Alisma We have rainbow piƱata cake!

@Heckno12 @fer1323 I want to find out what Rheese has to say about the sagely advice.
@fer1323 Oscar would also be tagging along with Sophia that way. Which may turn out amusing for others, if not for those two.
Sophia's day hasn't started well.

@Heckno12 Wow, I see what you mean about Vincent. When you described him as a dick, I didn't take that to mean "possible sociopath".
Sophia Danvers

Even once the headache had started to subside, Sophia had thought she wouldn't be able to sleep. Worry had nagged at her like cruel whispers behind her back. She'd tried to ignore it. It would be fine, it would be fine, it would be fine... She had nothing to doubt about herself. Listening to the wind and the distant, rhythmic splash of the waves, she'd closed her eyes and let herself drift off to sleep.

...

She woke to something rough flicking across her face, and a quiet "Purrrr?" Opening her eyes, she smiled.

"Morning, Purrloin." She tickled Purrloin under her chin. The Pokemon stopped licking her and rubbed against her hand. "No biting this time." It looked like Purrloin was behaving herself now... Wait, what was that under her claws? Was that a scrap of fabric? Sophia propped herself up and gasped. "Oh dear Arceus..."

The room looked as if a Pokemon had spammed Cotton Spore inside it. The pillows were missing from all three other beds, and were now strewn in ragged strips all over the sleeping quarters, stuffing spilling out around the scratched up legs of the wooden desk and chair.

"Purrloin what have you done?" Sophia levitated a Pokeball towards her - much easier now she'd caught up on some sleep and the migraine was gone, she just hoped her recently-caught Pokemon wouldn't give her a stress headache. Grasping the Pokeball, she pointed it at Purrloin. "Return!"

Too slow. Purrloin leapt from the bed in a blur and darted across the desk. "No!" Sophia yelled, using her telekinesis to catch the falling phone in midair - but as she lifted it back up, the desk lamp smashed to the floor before she could react. In less than a second, Purrloin was up the curtain. There was a tearing sound as the Pokemon slid down, leaving claw marks. One side of the rail came loose in a shower of plaster, and the curtain slipped off. "Purr-purr-loin purr!" The cat wriggled out from the mangled pile of fabric, giving her trainer the cutest, most innocent look she could.

Sophia climbed out of bed, making sure Purrloin was alright, but scowling at her all the same. "Don't you think that'll work on me," she scolded. "Return!" This time, Purrloin disappeared into her Pokeball. The trainer stared in dismay at the room which now made Professor Bonsai's lab look pristine by comparison. What would the nurses say? How much would all this cost to fix and replace? This was a great start to her day.

Once she'd washed and dressed, she grabbed a quick breakfast at the Pokecentre's cafeteria and fed both her Pokemon, keeping a close eye on Purrloin. She was still frowning as she entered the lobby, where Rheese sat talking to the nurse. It was almost guaranteed that at least a few of her fellow travellers would have heard the commotion, and she hoped they wouldn't make a big deal of it.
@Lost Shadow Yeah, it looks like Emma's the only one without a roommate.
Yay, day 2 soon!

Will people still be able to join, and get their dragons the next day?
Emmaline Blakeley

This was it, Emma thought as the room sharpened into focus. They'd arrived. Two hundred years... She could barely believe it. As her body awakened, so did mixed emotions. Her old life on Erellon was over, but this was the new beginning she'd wanted. This opportunity had been too good to pass up.

She stretched her stiff limbs, removing the electrodes once she could move her fingers enough to do so. Wait... What was that? She looked at her hands and cringed. There was still a faint green tinge to her skin, a reminder of a failed potion. Not permanent, she reminded herself. The colour had faded considerably during the two weeks since the mishap, not a vivid apple shade any more, and she no longer glowed in the dark. The remainder of the effect had simply been frozen in stasis. It would fade over the next few days, and she'd be well-camouflaged among Earth's foliage while tracking, at least.

How had she even got that potion so wrong, anyway? Ok, so it was one of the more advanced energy potions, meant to help her study far longer than usual during training, but the basic ones she'd mastered were easy enough. No more extra-strength energy potions for her. In fact, even correctly brewed ones that wouldn't turn her fluorescent green were a bad idea. As well as the unwanted side effect, this one had also had the desired primary effect, which had turned out not to be such a good thing for someone as vivacious as her. She hoped nobody would mention the incident with all those grasshoppers. It had nearly got her kicked off the mission.

As she completed the quiz at the computer, the cries of waking animals from another room caught her attention. She turned her head. Squeals, chirps and grunts, murmurs of confusion, growing louder. Her own chibit, the animal she had the strongest bond with, called for her. Maia's disoriented thoughts brushed at Emma's consciousness.

"Maia?" Emma rushed towards the animal room. "It's ok, Maia, I'm awake. We're here!" As she bounded in, she noticed a few other people had already woken up. "Heyyyyy anyone else ready?" she asked, an excited grin plastered all over her face, before promptly falling over. Maybe she shouldn't have tried to run right after having come out of stasis.

She sat up, looking into a pair of green eyes. The chibit staggered towards her, squeaking her distress at the difficulty of her movements. "Hey, it's alright," Emma soothed, stroking Maia on the head. "It'll pass." She smiled as Maia started purring and fluttered somewhat unsteadily onto her shoulder. "Want to see what Earth is like?" Maia gave an enthusiastic chirrup, just as eager to explore as Emma was.
@Heckno12 He'd end up sleeping on the couch in the Pokecentre.

So, nearly Day 2. I wonder how this is going to go...
