Current To those I RP with, I haven't dropped off of the face of the earth, just had a mental health crash but am recovering. Now to catch up on posting.

The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio

A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

@OtomostheCrazy Yeah, I'll do the battle if you want.
@Heckno12 Would the notes system be helpful?

Also, I think I'll add just one level to each of Sophia's Pokemon, seeing as they didn't win (a victory would have been two levels each, right?) and I want her to actually train. Is that ok?

Solanna smiled at the little group before turning back to Oscar. "Well, I don't have any Psychic types, but I've met quite a few people who do," she replied. "What I can tell you is most Pokemon of this type are highly intelligent. They're good at helping their trainers with difficult challenges. And in a lot of cases, their telepathic abilities mean they work well as part of a team. I've seen some pretty impressive contests involving Psychic-type combos."

She thought back to one of the most memorable shows she'd seen. Two Meowstics, a male and a female, helping each other perform a vast and varied array of moves.

While talking and reminiscing, she didn't notice Whimsicott sneak up until cotton puffs blew all over her. The fluffy little Pokemon giggled.

"Just going to warn you," Solanna said to Oscar with a chuckle, brushing away the cotton, "Ralts is part Fairy type. And, as you can see, fairies can be a little on the mischievous side."
@fer1323 Yeah, that fits with your others.

Sophia will be able to teach Oscar a little about training Psychic types. She may only have one at the moment, but she grew up around Psychic type Pokemon.

I'm making a start on my post. What do you think of the suggested notes format? Would that make things easier?
@fer1323 It just has to be at most a similar level to your other Pokemon. So your Ralts could be any level up to 10.
@fer1323 Ok, will be able to reply later.

@Heckno12 So I was thinking of ways to make it easier for people to keep track of stuff like levels and inventory.

In this other RP I'm in, Pokemon New World, people put notes at the end of their posts, like this:

It could be copied and pasted, and frequently updated. Obviously we'd still edit character sheets with more complicated stuff like movesets, but that would make updating easier to do.
@Heckno12 Oh yeah. Last thing Rheese would need.

How many levels do Pokemon get from gym battles? I'm thinking 1 for a loss, 2 for a victory. Does that work?

That reminds me...

@fer1323 I saw your updated CS. Just a reminder that our Pokemon got 2 levels each for the grunt battle, as the opposing Pokemon were higher level than ours. So, your Torchic is lv10, and your Growlithe and Eevee are both lv8.
@Heckno12 I was thinking she could run into a certain somebody else first. Someone she thought she'd gotten away from.
@OtomostheCrazy You can challenge the gym at any time, but Alexis has just had a glimpse of how tough the gym leader is... Then again, she's Alexis.

@Heckno12 Yay, first gym battle of this RP! I hope returning Purrloin right at the end didn't come across as too out of character. It's just that Sophia has already let her pride issues get Pokemon hurt (the incident with Alexis), and she doesn't want to do that again.

That was probably the smartest thing she did in the entire battle.
@Heckno12 Well, seeing as Sophia lost badly in front of everyone, and did something that may have been a bit surprising...
