Current Hey, I hate to say this, but I am probably leaving this place for the forseeable future. Those who are waiting for me on RPs can just... stop waiting, I guess. Sorry, all.

Well, @Truant, I believe what's wrong with you is in the name... your ability is Truant, you only get to act every other turn.

@Ampharos Boy, I guess that means you're going to get cave adaptation by the time this whole thing is done, and you'll vomit as soon as you leave your house, lol.

You ever read one of your RPs from years ago and just laugh at how bad it is?

Dragons vs unicorns, huh? I'm horribly biased in this case 'cause I HATE horses, so... dragons.

Wait, you took a table? Lol, nice one. Anyways, shields work similarly to weapons, so, it give + 1d3 defense. You'd roll for defense every time you're attacked by something. Keep in mind that some shields may make it impossible for you to attack twice.

Assuming you got max damage on him, he's now down to 4HP. I think I'll have him have a potion to keep the fight going another round.
I rolled a 16 for attack, what do i add to determine how successful it was? And is it versus anything?

It's Vs his tiny agi score, and you don't necessarily add any damage, given that a crit would happen at 20 for you, however, you should be able to do about 4 damage (with each fist), 'cause fists ignore added armor (but aren't always too powerful)
Ah, good questions, Grey.

Yes, it's touch range, however, I don't see why you can't utilize your spear for this spell, mainly to keep you out of range.
Heightened learning happens on a crit roll, and lasts for a while after that. (you'd roll again to see how much you gain, with a 20 being the full 50%).
1d20% would be from current HP, so, diminishing, and it would happen after the afflicted party attacks, or moves.
Hm... Grey, do you want you or Eklipse to go first? Lol
Question, how does my retaliate work? Do I use it instead of an attack or can I do both?

You can use an attack, and then plant yourself in front of the enemy waiting for an attack, so, it takes up a sort of 'end of turn' action, if you understand what I'm saying.

Oh, and, after my turn, the guy has 12/35 HP... magic is this guy's nemesis, lol. Anyways, I was supposed to do 13 damage, but, I got a poor hit die, so I took 1HP of damage, and deducted 2 from my damage score. I still hit the knight ONLY because of his slowness.

I rushed out of the bar before I got confirmation as to whether or not this group of individuals was actually going to help me, and notice the knight only about 20 feet away from me, at the town's entrance. He was boasting and bragging about something until some unseen force seemed to hurt him, and quite a bit, too. I start running towards the knight, and start charging up my thunder spell, however, just as I finished the spell, I trip over a rock, and only just manage to hit the guy. Yeah, it still hurt him, but I felt as though I could have done much better that time. "Hm? What's this? This pathetic little kobold thinks he can use magic! HA! I am to laugh at that," The knight says to me, all the while trying to find whatever it was that just hit him. I get up, and dust myself off before saying "Yes... I can use magic, and so can at least one of my friends... I think... maybe," he laughs again, and continues his search, as if I didn't really matter all too much right now. There was some sort of horse next to the man, and I couldn't tell you which breed it was, given that I didn't really care about the thing too much. I'll bet the rest of the group, whoever decides to stick around anyways, would want to keep that thing. I'd rather it fall over dead than have to travel with it. Maybe it could have a lightning-related accident during the confusion of battle. Hm... I think as I look around for any trees large enough to kill the horse. There was one, it was kinda far away, but would certainly do the job, all I had to do was hit the tree at some point during the fight, and it would either get crushed by said tree, or run off, scared. I hoped for the former, but knew that the latter was the more likely of the two possibilities.
TO MORTAL COMBAT!!!

ROUND 1... FIGHT!

Anyways, crit damage is...
(MaxD (as in, the max roll for weapon damage) *2) + (statmod)
Keep in mind that crits also break through armor.

The knight now has 23/35 HP with Evanist's post.
Alright, so our post order for this fight is determined...
Evanist
Me
Either Grey or Eklipse
knight
So... who needs to post, then? I think just about everyone, right?
It would go against his intelligence. See why I kept that stat visible? Lol. His total was... 26. (figured from highest d20 + int... yes, I rolled a 19).

At 26, yourself, he'd just not attack you for a couple turns, which will obviously allow my character to heal yours (I don't want anyone dying right now.), at 27-28, he'd give us one free turn, at 29-30, he'd let us beat him up a bit (until he's at 20HP), and at 31, he'd let us beat him up until he's at half health (17ish health).

So I just did my own roll.
14 +11/2 = 19

oh lugia, how would pre-emptive strike go for me?

You would post directly after my 'battle start' post, which is, of course, this one, despite our current order.

post order would go...
Evanist
Me
(possibly eklipse)
Grey
Knight
