Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Anything to get me out of this interaction bind with Paige, who seems to be absent.
Well we seem to be stuck in a bit of a rut at the moment.
Same here.

Sounds about right. I was thinking something of a Might Glacier/Berserker in that he has a decent amount of defense and a wide variety of attack options, but little in the way of mobility and doesn't have any dedicated defensive techniques; just his innate toughness, armor, and putting The God Eater between him and whatever wish to do him harm. For this reason his fighting style is fairly berserker; just go into the fray as fast as he can and take everything down before he does. He can think for actual tactics of course, with a high burst capability and DPS, he could serve as the cannon or damage dealer for any party. Using his Semblance, he can do a bit of tanking too, not because he's tougher but because he can crowd control his enemies to stay near him or at least get slowed down, while also using his Semblance to prevent himself from falling or getting moved around. And of course, this being the RWBY universe, Gren can just give reality the middle finger and use The God Eater as means of mobility. Either use the Terror Form of his weapon to create something akin to a that can move in a single direction and even up walls, or ride the sheer recoil from the Destroyer Form into a deadly improvised jet pack. Except replace jets with bullets. Lots and lots of bullets. Good for getting him to point A to B (Or into the fray of a fight) but either methods aren't very good for delicate maneuvering. Here's an illustration of how the Destroyer Form would look like, but with a less aerodynamic design and like, ten thousand more bullets.

Good Lord that's an incredible thing to picture.
So, if I am correct, here is the breakdown so far. Allow me to continue using the character archetypes; please tell me if you envisioned your character otherwise, or if I missed any planned partnerships.

Team A (COMPLETED): Beliya (Ranged ADC), Ineko (Burst Mage), Bruce (CC Tank), Gideon (Brawler)
Team B (so far): Abel (Damage tank), Chris (Assassin)
Team C (so far): Gren (Burst Mage*), Serera (Sustain mage)
Let GM decide: Tai (Warrior)
Looking for teammates: Robert (Hunter), Blake (True tank), Yael (Assassin w/ mobility focus), Priscilla (Dual ranged/melee ADC), Trico** (Dual ranged/melee assassin), Oliver (Dual ranged/melee ADC), Atlas (Warrior) and if accepted, Kuhaku (Warrior w/ illusionary focus)

Notes-
*Gren was hard because he's so versatile, but since he doesn't have a defensive focus as far as I can see and can dish out tons of damage very quickly I labeled him such.
**I also didn't include the all-girl team Kal really wants because I still don't know if it's serious, but Yael, Priscilla, Trico, and Serera would be the only option at this point and Serera already has a definite partner.
Interesting to note that we don't really have anyone that fits into the support role outside of tanks. No healers or boosters, really.
He's sorta based after my Pokemon black/white 2 trainer. Other than that, no, not really.

I have now updated the 2nd post in the thread with a complete CS list...and, hate to sound wacist, but too many people got black as their color.

Here comes Lou to save the day with ALTERNATIVE COLORS!

Robert Fallson's color could easily be Fuschia, which is the approximate color of his hair. 'Raspberry' and 'Rosso corsa' work as well.
Despite the black theme of Serena's weaponry, I feel that Steel Pink or Salmon would be appropriate for her.
Oliver's coat is a shade of black that is ever so slightly lighter--a shade called Onyx. 'Olive' is also a sort of drab green that feels fitting.

I have no objections Lugubrious! We just need a badass team name....

Excellent. Well, we already have C and A. I don't know if it's a set thing that the leader's name comes first, but Abel's definitely not going to be the leader. Once we get confirmation of our other two members and decide who the leader is, I can use WordHippo to find words that start with the first letter and contain the other three letters. Then we'll have our ultra-badass team name.
After passing a large, armored faunus whose species he couldn't identify on the way in, Abel made his way back toward the mattress that still had his things near it. While his intention was to clean up, he realized right after starting the laborious journey over and around all the mattresses in his way that holding the Ampere as he was currently doing made him look suspicious. He hoisted the weapon onto his back, where it remained despite not having any sort of harness. He was, of course, using his semblance to hold it there, but to the casual observer it would look like the polearm simply stuck to his hoodie. Luckily, the casual observer would also not be paying any attention to such trivial things.

With the his weapon now out of the way, Abel navigated the ballroom floor back to his mattress. With people awake and things moved around, the journey was more treacherous than he had left it. The mess of mattresses and personal items was a far cry from the neat, divided rows left by the school staff last night, but with teenagers, they'd have been fools to expect anything less. Halfway through his trek, Abel became momentarily intoxicated by the scent of some exotic tea in the air and accidentally trod on a sleeping girl's hair, twisting it slightly beneath his heel. He stepped off as if the girl's pink locks had been red-hot coals. "Oh crap, my bad, you okay?" He hovered over her somewhat, concerned. Making a mortal enemy on the first day of school probably wasn't the best idea, so he felt that any mistakes like this had to be set right immediately. As he looked at Priscilla's face, he couldn't help but notice how lovely she was. In his eyes, that made his error all the more egregious.

In his panic, Abel failed to identify Priscilla as the girl that the dog faunus Oliver had been so attached to yesterday--it simply slipped his mind.

Well, if you can amass all those characters who are active, that would be nice to pick and chose who to team with.

That would be nice indeed. It's a shame the person who controls the character sheets has gone missing. Luckily, it looks like Irish has the second post.

Flamelord, Buried, and objections? If you're on board, we have a tank (Abel) an assassin (Chris) and a heavy hitter/mage sort of thing (Tai). An appropriate fourth addition could be Priscilla, who couple fulfill the ranged/specialist role. Any thoughts, Paige?
