Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Anybody wanna make a team with Oliver??? Everybody needs a vowel in their team name....

I'd be down for Oliver joining up with Chris and Abel. C, O, and A are pretty usable letters. Plus, he'd be able to serve as the ranged fighter our team needs. What do you think?
Honestly I don't know if I can stick with this for much longer. I like you guys and I like this RP, but this is both my oldest RP and the least progressive. I'm thinking more than ever that the best thing might just be to let this fall.

That moment where you're still trying to figure out what Lugubrious's new NPC is.

Well, you have the precedence of fairy tail characters that my NPCs are based on. Does golden thread ring any bells? If not, try eliminating the space between his first and last names for your google search.
No problem.

Well, it's rumored that a beer or two can help lower your blood pressure and relax you enough to help increase focus. And though temporary, the chemicals in tobacco smoke has bronchial dilators that can open up your lungs and help you to intake more oxygen.

That seemingly defies logic. If you're more relaxed, it would be reasonable to me that you're less focused if anything. I guess that is why it's a rumor.

I feel like Bridget is being treated like some meat sack (which is particularly odd, considering she doesn't actually exist yet)

That isn't the case. Bridget formed a segue into Kalamadea giving its opinions and others debating or agreeing with those opinions.
Kudos to whoever figures out who Paron Skaft is based on. Google won't be too much help in this regard I don't think.

Also this is the last of the NPCs I've made. They're free for anyone to interact with or control, but if you want to make sure you get the information right I'd recommend PMing my first.
For a moment, Abel suspected that Priscilla was preparing to unleash her rage, gathering it within before making her indignant outburst. After half a minute, however, he became aware that she was, in fact, still asleep. Wow, that's lucky, he thought, relieved, and quickly moved away from her to return to his mattress. Once there, he quickly packed up the few things he had removed from his luggage. Guessing that whatever school staff had moved his belongings here would transfer them to his dorm in due course, he left the small suitcase where it lay.

The next step was to head outside. All of the activity in the ballroom -particularly the heady aroma of the tea and the small crowd that had gathered around it- was beginning to grow a bit stifling. On the way out, he found a much straighter, easier route through the mattress sea and sauntered straight out. While he looked very official with his weapon chambered and confident air, he actually didn't know where he was going; he did believe that the upcoming test would be outside though, so that was the place to be.

Abel found his way to a small courtyard area that sported several vending machines. He spotted bottled tea and granola bars among the sweets and sodas an, resolving to make a breakfast out of them, approached the vendor. As he did so, he became aware that he wasn't the only student in this place.

Standing in one corner of the plaza was an older boy. His sharp, ferretlike complexion and long, scruffy hair matched his chocolate brown overcoat decently well. In the boy's huge collar -and indeed, all over his expensive-looking clothes- was a noteworthy amount of golden stitching. Abel briefly wondered if it was simply thread or actual gold wound into wire. More interesting than his getup was his behavior: this guy seemed to be in a fit of rage, swinging some sort of flail-like weapon that resembled a yoyo at the air around him.

After a few moments, the crazed boy seemed to notice Abel's presence, and ceased his struggling. Abel began to walk toward them, and on the way heard footsteps and a muffled giggling rush past him, though nobody was there. Once a respectable distance away from the panting rich kid, he spoke up. "What was that about? Some sort of problem?"

The other student bared his teeth, clearly distressed, and replied in a Scottish accent suffused by rage. "Of course there is, you nitwit! D'you think I'm fightin' the bloody air? Some invisible jackass tried to nick my Aurum Jenny." Abel's eyebrows shot up, which only seemed to make the rich kid angrier. He held up the yoyo as it it would prove his point, and Abel saw that its thread was golden as well, though the bulk of it was wooden. He guessed that it was the 'Aurum Jenny', though truly he was losing interest in the whole affair due to the boy's rudeness. "I know it looks mad, but it's the truth. I'm not crazy!" The manner in which he said this, too loud and too quick, seemed to discredit his claim.

Abel shrugged. "I dunno, man. Maybe it was another student using their semblance." A look of uncertainly passed over the other's face. Did he not know what a semblance was? Abel continued. "But I'm just here for some food." He indicated the vending machine.

The other boy followed his gaze and seemingly noticed the vendors for the first time. He stood up straight, trying to salvage some dignity. "Aye. Well, if you see any invisible blokes, you tell 'em that Paron Skaft wants a rematch. Eh...and sorry 'bout gettin' mad at you. Weren't fair of me." After fixing his collar and smoothing down his coat, Paron stalked off.

Putting the incident out of his mind, Abel fished some change from his pockets and grabbed some snacks from the machines.

I gathered Ineko's abilities to me more about talking to machines and interacting with them with the camera thing being a secondary effect (which is also going to be limited by what that device can actually see) whereas Bridget gets to know everything about everything around her, regardless of things hiding, being cloaked by something, through solid objects, ect. In regards to the electricity thing, Abel's lightning is offensive, ranged, and much more lethal in nature, Bridget uses hers as more of a taser, which also requires her target to actually be touching some part of the chain, think of it more like a trap than a weapon. I did try not to steal anyone's abilities and or themes, but in all fairness i didn't read everyone's characters in full detail. If it bothers people I can edit it, shouldn't be too much trouble

Well, when you put it like that, I can see how the abilities are unique. Go for it.
Electricity and electric blue (IE azure) are kinda Abel's thing. Ineko does have similar abilities, but the focus is different.

Just a thought.
