Current I don't think they are ignoring us. Believe it or not I'm sure the mods/admin have lives outside of this and require sleep.

$80 for building a Commander deck is not to bad. I know my own started out inexpensive but slowly grew as I added cards. Pretty sure most of them are close to or over $200.

Is it just me or has the number of ads increased rather dramatically? I'm seeing them in the middle of people's posts now.

Did not expect to see a new mobile layout today. Definitely different and it'll probably take some getting used to.

Bio

Suppose it's better late than never to add this.

I enjoy Starwars, Lord of the Rings, The Expanse book series, Warhammer, gaming, Game of Thrones, and D&D.

Might add more later, might not.

I would say more so than most campaigns. Granted it is dependent on your item choices and your approach to surviving.

No character should die before the first mini boss encounter I think.

As a side note for character sheets, use point buy for simplicity and take your full hit die.
Alright, there are four people interested so for certain I will be launching this RP. I will set it up on the other side in the next few days.

In the mean time, for any others who may be interested, I will be setting a cap at 6-8 players with 6 being the most likely number.

Once we start there will not likely be events to bring new characters in and character death is a possibility in this. I do want to make that clear ahead of time.
Quick question about the item limits: does the limit on magic items include items that would be gained through class features? For example, a Pact of the Tome Warlock's book of shadows?

So after some consideration, I think I will not count items that come from class features against the item limits. This is mostly due to from my experience with those that have expressed interest in this so far typically have not made power gamer like characters. I may amend this decision should someone try to abuse this ruling. Though as I have already said, most people here do not come across as power gamers from my experience, limited as it may be.

PF2e had done something similar, lore wise only, not an actual game, but a secret organization known I believe as the Cat and Mouse Syndicate? They basically wear cat masks and turn people into humanoid mice and hunt them for sport.

I've not read much into the Pathfinder lore. Seems a little on point for the name of the Syndicate though.
With these being a class feature, I want to lean towards no it will not.

Tome lock does however offer the advantages of adding three cantrips, from any class at that, to the three you would have.

As for hexblade, having a melee weapon, or ranged with some invocation if I remember correctly, you essentially have a free weapon that does not weigh you down or limit your choices much.

The end goal for the limitations was to make it so it was a bit more challenging.

With all that in mind I'm going to have to think on it some more. I'll have a decision by tomorrow, Friday the latest.

That waa something I failed to consider. Let me check a couple of things on how that is treated and I'll get back to you on that.

Thank you for bringing it up. I'm sure I have to treat pact weapons in a similar way for the hexblade warlocks.
Alright we have two. I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.
I've been working on an idea for a one-shot style game loosely based on the concept of The Most Dangerous Game. As a summary for those that may have not read that book, essentially the elite have abducted people to hunt them for sport. I'm sure there have been movies made recently that also have that premises.

In regards to this for D&D, the party would have ended up in a demi-plane like space that the antagonist uses for this hunt. How they ended up there is up to you, trying to settle a debt they couldn't pay, taken as a person that would not likely be missed, or whatever you think may be a reason to end up in the hunt.

I am open to all 2014 source books for making characters. There will be a few limitations in regards to inventory in that there will be no starting gold or equipment. If this takes off at all, all characters will be allowed two items from the Player handbook. The only magic items allowed will be focuses and healing potions. More gear can/will be acquired through chests and defeating the NPC hunters.

The party will be starting at level 5.

I'll be adding more to this in the next few days, just wanting to get an initial check out there.
I am good as well. The post I am working on can work for after the party arrives.
I do not at this moment, I was waiting to see if Guardian had anything else to add.
