Current As someone else mentioned, the site seems to be in a bit of a lull - slow. I've been here more than 10 years and slow times like this are pretty far and few between.

Onderon Royal Palace - Hallways

"Of course Master," she replied as she used her training to block every single blaster bolt directed in her direction - or any directed as anyone else for that matter. She sounded confident but hardly arrogant, studying her opponent from behind the yellow shimmering of her lightsaber. She knew she was different than most, even more so than her Aura ability, because she was often asking, inquiring, and thinking while others often acted more on instinct. Though in the past it had taken a while for her to learn how to 'let go' or just 'feel' the Force, she had since then learned how to do it without thought like most Jedi, perhaps even enough that some masters might have considered training her as a Blademaster. However she was content on her role as a guardian, ever curious what her natural and unique ability could do, though now was not the time for training or exploration.

Instead, she kept laser focus on the task at hand, slowly making ground forward towards the hanger in face of the heavy fire. It helped that the queen was such a good shot. In fact, it impressed her and while she was not technically allowed such luxuries, she thought the woman was beautiful. It didn't get in the way though as she kept her march forward and her guard was flawless. "I can still sense them your majesty.. you'll get to safety. We will not let you down." Thessa had also been trying to extend her Aura to the republic soldiers, hoping the feeling of inspiration and morale it provided would aid them in surviving and making their senses more acute.

Specialization: Guardian

Biography
Left on the footsteps on the Coruscant Jedi Temple, Thessa's entire presence was a mystery from the start, though some of the more superstitious Jedi came to the conclusion she was born of the Force. Though extremely unlikely, there was certainly something about her that alerted many of the Jedi Masters as she seemed unusually strong in the Force, even as a babe. As she grew up among the Order, she was taken in to train in the way of Jedi and the Light Side of the Force, going over teachings when she came to the age to be able to read and write along with basic combat techniques as she grew into her preteen years. Among the temple, many there often felt her presence, feeling calmed and inspired at the same time and often her peers sought her out for advice and guidance. Despite that she didn't know much more than them, she came to expect the welcomed feeling from others, though she often kept them at arm's length - feeling none of them truly attempted to get to know her.

At the age of thirteen, during tensions between the Empire and the Republic, the temple was attacked. Thessa watched from the shadows, wide-eyed as she watched the destruction and sheer power from the invading Sith. Somehow, by a miracle, the same aura that lead others to her was now masking her entire presence - even to the Sith Lord that lead the charge. As they walked away, all the young girl could do was crawl away in a panic to hide before the temple was nearly leveled. By chance or fate, she had found the one place that provided shelter, leaving her one of the rare few to survive and the only one with injuries.

Before long, she was clawing out of the rubble when she felt Honutu's hand grab her and pushed the debris away using the Force. Instantly, she was thankful and followed him all the way to Tython where she was taken care of. Despite her silence the entire trip (and even spite Honutu's attempts to get her to talk), she deliberately used her Aura to make the older Jedi feel comfort in her presence - in a way to show him how she felt (which she later explained). Only a month past and Thessa found herself summoned to the Council chambers where she and he met once more, only she spoke to him this time and smiled. It was a pleasant surprise, but a welcomed one, when the Jedi Masters put her under Honutu as his Padawan.

What first started out as a visit to places for meditation and going over the Jedi Code, soon turned into something different as Honutu lead her to darker places, giving her gentle warnings as he did so - going against the Council. However instead of warning the Council or expressing any sort of worries, she simply accepted the different viewpoint and did as her Master asked, meditating at places of darkness. It was difficult at first, feeling and fighting against such negative emotions such as fear, anger, and sadness, but the Council had been correct - she seemed very difficult to truly corrupt. While she had nightmares, never once did she flinch from the Light, often displaying an unusual tenancy for kindness and compassion.

Eventually their journey together lead them to Onderon, to a Sith Temple where war broke out. Since then, she has been following her Master into battle, defending the Republic without fail. Along with her strong combat prowess (though nothing like her Master), her Aura often inspired troops into action, almost making them as courageous as the most valiant heroes, turning smaller battles in their favor - though the Sith greatly outnumbered the Republic on the jungle planet. To this day, there might yet be more to her powers, but she is uniquely gifted none-the-less and hopes that it's enough to defend the capital.

The monk gave her friend a hug in return, but before she could really study or respond to Sonya, Dixon was over by them, shooing the crowd away by the way of commands. She had to admit it was a relief and the man seemed to catch sight of that, though the wink made her raise her eyebrow and just smirk. It was certainly flattering, though she wondered how far that'd truly go, if the man ever learned what sort of person Odessa was. Regardless, her attention turned back to Sonya, tilting her head slightly. With a slowly growing smile, she blushed slightly herself as she finally realized how shy the masked woman sounded, subtly thinking of why that might be. "Of course I'd keep my promise," she said with resolve. "I sort of.. see myself as your guardian now.. lest you refuse my self-appointed station." Odessa smirked, fairly confident that Sonya would not. "But yes, let's gather the camp and tend to the wounded as much as we can - we'll find each other later, aye?" Though Odessa still felt slightly at odds, she still knew things needed to be done.

Later...

Silas had gathered the group of warriors and sold them a pitch - to form a mercenary group. A lot of the team leaders were there, along with some of the more skilled and unique individuals (Sonya included, of course), making Odessa glance around. Taking slight notice of Stefano's stare, she pursed her lips and kept quiet for the most part, especially since he had given them all time to ponder the proposition. She wandered away slowly in thought. 'I don't do it for the coin though..' she said softly, folding her arms over her chest as she strolled around the edge of the camp. 'But it might give me an opportunity to do some good. At the least, I could honor Ashley.. hm.' Before long, she found herself briskly walking over to Sonya and waving her attention to gain the smaller woman's attention.

"So.. are you going to take their offer?" she asked. "I think I'd still be keen to be your acting guardian, if you did.. though I'd really hope they do good - real good - more so than other groups." She paused, weaving her fingers through her hair in thought. "I guess it's fair to share with you something - I had someone special.. her name was Ashley.. but, before anything could happen, she fell in battle." Her expression tinged in pain before letting out a small sigh. "Either way, I meant to honor her passing by doing good, like she always wanted. That's why I ended up joining this battle.. either way.. what do you think?" She let her arms down and looked intently at Sonya, mostly watching her body language since reading her expression was out of question. If it wasn't obvious by now Sonya could likely tell that Odessa, for some reason, was looking to her for an answer.

(Giggles) I'm here. Been super busy lately... setting up Health Insurance with the VA (was in the Air Force) and doing my Microsoft Office classes. Yep yep! Everything is going amazing too, by the way! I have a wife and girlfriend, so I'm poly, but... uh... yeah.. I recently met a boy, so.. ^///^
@Arthanus I might be, if you can suffer my somewhat slow posting pace... and the fact that I adore Star Wars, but my knowledge is honestly limited to the movies.. =X
