Most nights were bearable enough for Olivia to get some sleep. Sometimes she needed to see Dr. Gaston to get her sleeping pills. The pills usually did the trick and knocked her out in a matter of minutes, if she was lucky — not tonight. The voices were louder than ever tonight. They whispered right next to her ear. They cried out and begged. Until a scream shook Olivia to her core. One scream, then another and another until everything around Oliva was nothing but this woman's screams.

Olivia didn't sleep that night. She pressed her pillows against her heads and begged for the woman to stop, but she wouldn't. She was in pain. Olivia could feel the pain, too, in her head. It felt like it was going to explode.

Then it went silent for a second.

Maybe Olivia died. It was all silence then she heard her name being called. It all felt like a dream now. Like she was floating around in a black lake with soft, the voices being muffled by the water in her ears. She couldn't figure out what they were saying to her, but she could hear them. All of them belonged to the woman who had been screaming just minutes before. She wasn't sure, but Olivia recognized that voice. It seemed oddly familiar to her. The raspy and corse voice that was so often spoken in a soft tone. No, it couldn't be the same voice. This voice was rougher and scarier, and it wouldn't shut up.

The woman didn't stop speaking to her in fast rapid words that Olivia couldn't understand. The words were all whispers and mashed together into a big word soup that Olivia couldn't swallow. They didn't stop until the sun began to rise, and the rays crept into her room from the window. Even when her alarm went off the words kept coming. The woman whispered her name and screamed for Olivia to pay attention. There was urgency and fear, but Olivia's mind was already fried.

Olivia, please... Help! ... please just listen... danger... Help! ... leave...

Olivia covered her ears, knowing well that the action wouldn't help her situation. The lack of sleep from that night was not helping the massive headache that she had, and the voices were just not leaving. Even after her morning meds, they just kept repeating the same things. There was little Olivia could make sense of, but she didn't even want to listen. All she wanted was silence.

Peace. Quiet.

When the PA's message finished, Olivia was sitting on a corner of the lounge with her head between her keens. Alice? She had been the nice lady who had tried to talk to her over group therapy. She usually complained about headaches, and Olivia sympathized with her over that. Something in her gut made her feel like Alice wasn't really gone, and Olivia didn't know what.

... Olivia!

"Shut up!" Olivia finally shouted and pressed her hands harder against her ears in hopes of quieting down the voices. No. Just one voice. One very familiar voice. "Just shut up! Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Please." With one hand, she began to hit one side of her head until one of the nurses finally took notice and rushed to Olivia's side and stop her from hurting herself anymore.

Dr. Gaston was called, and Olivia was taken to her office shortly after. Just a few minutes later, Dr. Gaston was seen escorting Olivia out of her office and back to the lounge area.

"Please come to me if it happens again," Dr. gaston whispered to Olivia, who simply nodded and stared at the black screen of one of the televisions. "Good, we don't want anything to happen to you okay?"

"... Thank you." Olivia pulled up her knees up to her chest and continued to stare straight forward. The voice was quiet now. Just mumbles. Like white noise. Olivia closed her eyes and let her chin rest on one of her knees. Maybe she could catch up on some sleep before her therapy session today.

Alejandro had taken his time on the Metal section first. He had picked out a few vinyls from various death metal bands he had heard from in the past. Most were from the band Behemoth, a band he thought he would never enjoy as much as he did. Death metal had been something his younger sister had pushed on him for a few months, even dragged him into one of their concerts in Texas. After that, Alejandro was hooked on it, much to their mother's distaste. The type of music was something he held dear, something that he and his sister shared and tressured. He could probably send her some tickets as a present after his business was established here. He could even try to see if the band played her and ask her to come.

After a while, Alejandro had found himself wondering to the hip hop section to those out. While he wasn't too big on it, he did have favorites when it came to hip hop. He was rather picky about it and tended to stick to more older stuff since the newer stuff sounded like mumble trash. That is what it was, to him anyway. He had picked out a copy of The Slim Shady LP and Relapse to just listen to while at home, but other than he stayed close to the older hip hop albums.

He was deep in thought about the whole hip hop going to trash when he felt something soft bump into him. With a small grunt, Alejandro snapped out of his thoughts and turned to look at the person, ready to insult them and stopped just as he saw her face.

"It could have been worse," Alejandro said in a teasing tone, "You could have broken an ankle, and then you would have done more than run into me." He slipped the last vinyl under his arm. "But luckily I was here to keep you from falling-- or breaking something." He looked down as she patted his heavily tattooed arm. He was wearing black jeans with a burgundy button-up shirt. Semi casual, just like he usually dressed.

"I agree, sadly, this kind of music has been going downhill after the 2000s, in my opinion. It's hard to find any good stuff now. All I see is mumble rap." Alejandro wrinkled his nose just a bit at that and gave her a look over. "Though you don't see to be the type to be into much hip hop, then again I shouldn't be judging. After all, you are in this section of the store. The pop is on the other side of the aisle." There was a small teasing smile on the corner of his lips.

In the distance, he saw a woman walk in just before he got a message from John. He glanced quickly at his watch to check the message, then returned his attention to the woman in front of him. Cop. No, something higher up the bureaucratic ladder. Alejandro watched her from the corner of his eyes as she made her way across the store but kept the teasing smile.

"Are you here to preform? You got a nice outfit fit for the spotlight," Alejandro felt his phone vibrate in his pocket again, but he simply ignored it. Probably John again trying to tell him who the pig was that just walked in. He didn't really care right now as long as she stayed away and his two associates kept their distance. "Alejandro, by the way." He extended his hand towards her for a handshake. "Local flower shop owner, new to Sol, and you are?"

Alejandro just wanted a pleasant and quiet day off.
Da-Xia of Vaz

Da-Xia was up before the sun. She had rathered her things from her tent and folded everything neatly before wrapping it up and mounting everything on Tian, her black horse. It was custom for her people to wake before the sun rose in order to greet the sun goddess, Surxia, and capture the first rays of the sun as one prays and meditates. Her aunt always told her that her mother would go up to the roof of their old home and sing to the goddess as the sun showered her in the light. While Da-Xia had tried to do something similar once her voice didn't hold up to expectation. Instead, she turned to something she was far more superior to, and that was the lyre. Once she had finished with her morning routine of getting everything packed, she took her lyre and sat a few yards away from Tian. The sun was just minutes from rising when she began to play a traditional song of her people, the Chaoxen.

Everything had to be perfect today. She had been training all of her life but had only managed to get a trainer for two. It was time. With her mother's sword and her veil, she would finally pass the Right and get her long-awaited Dark Dragon. To step in her mother's shoes was something that Da-Xia had been longing to do for so long. The warmth of the sun only made her more confident in herself.

After her song had ended, she put away her lyre and continued her morning routine. She fed Tian and herself something simple. No meats this time, something light but fulfilling so she wouldn't throw up in the middle of the Right. By the time breakfast was done, she could feel everything she had just eaten on her throat.

"It will be okay; I can do this." Da-Xia assured herself and bowed her head for a silent prayer.

By the time Da-Xia made it to the keep the place was already buzzing with energy. While the immense structure of the keep had given Da-Xia a moment of awe, the inside seemed a lot more impressive than the outside. People and dragon alike moved from direction to another with a clear goal in mind. A few hurried to carry boxes while others took their time to get to their destination. Da-Xia, on the other hand, wondered with Tian on her side as both looked and examined the place. Soon they were ushered towards the Village where even more people walked or ran around the place.

It was so loud. Too loud.

will post for Alister later

Better?

Morgan: Oh mon Dieu, now you are speaking to my heart, baguette lady. Cette beauté

Lilith got there just five minutes after opening time. She was a usual at the diner, going there a few times a week after work; especially during difficult nights. The whole homey vibe that the diner gave off made Lilith feel like she belonged there eating her usual order. It was always two scrambled eggs, bacon, grilled smashed potatoes, and two big fluffy pancakes. Lilith may be biased, but breakfast at the diner was one of her most favorite things about starting a new day. The strong coffee just lifted her up and made her feel like the rest of the day would go perfectly. Like there was not a worry on the world just for an hour while she sat there alone and ate.

Or maybe she was putting too much thought it to it. The food reminded her of her family. Of her father. The smell of the strong coffee brought back memories of waking up to the smell of it early in the morning before school and having a sip with her father while Leon and Lyric argued over the left over bacon. Those were happy times that Lilith missed dearly and she would go back to it in an instant if her guilty conscience let her. The thought of just having to face her father and seeing the disappointment on his face as she explained everything that had happened was too much for her. Just thinking about it made her teary-eyed.

No, no, there was no time to think of that right now. Right now it was time for pancakes and lots of yummy bacon... that she would have to burn off later by cardio. Or whatever another way. Maybe some practice would be nice, polish some new moves on the pole.

Anyway, as Lilith made her way to her usual spot by in the lunch counter, she set her bag down and waved over to one of the cooks from her seat. "Morning, Manda! nice to see you're all dolled up for me, hun." She called out to the cook, who rolled her eyes and flipped off Lilith with a grin.

"It ain't for you, sweety, but it is always nice to see you and that nice face of yours," Manda replied as she walked around one of the large industrial stoves and over to the lunch counter. Manda was long black hair wrapped up in a neat bun and wore a plain white shirt with some plain jeans. She was one of Lilith's first friends in Blacktown, and also one of her first clients at the club. It had been a pretty awkward first conversation, but the more Lilith kept going to the diner, the closer she got to Manda. Lilith had to admit that she had been crushing on the taller woman. Those well-toned arms covered with tattoos were something that Lilith loved to see work as she ate her pancakes.

"Aw, thank you, I do always try to doll up just for you." Lilith winked at the woman as laughed and turned to get a mug and the coffee for Lilith.

"Well, I'm flattered to see that your badly wiped make up is what you called 'being dolled up' for me." Manda poured the coffee on the mug and slide it in front of Lilith. "Let Mateo take your order and don't worry about the bill; this one is on me. I owe you one anyway," she put the pot of coffee back in its place and returned to the kitchen.

With a hum, Lilith said a small thank you and sipped her coffee without putting any sugar to it. Manda's lovely backside had distracted her from putting any sweetener on her coffee, so when Lilith sipped the coffee, she almost spit it out. After regaining some composure and ignoring Manda's laughter, she poured some sugar on her coffee and waited for the waiter to head on her way.
