If you're still alive, you're not struggling with depression. Depression is struggling with you.

LOCATION & TIME : THE OLD STARBOARD
INTERACTIONS : ASSOCIATES & VALERIA
MENTIONS :

Saturday night, a night that was supposed to be filled with partying, drinking, and maybe a hookup. Alejandro had planned to go out and club/bar hop all over Sol with Mara and John along with a few other members of his little "flower shop" but the night of celebrations had been put to a halt due to the visit of an unexpected guest. A guest that brought tension between him and this woman. A woman that Alejandro not dared speak against. A woman none other than his little sister Valeria Castillo Reyes, also known as the Serpiente Roja. Alejandro always wondered how come he didn't have a cool nickname like hers.

Although the visit had been unexpected, it was always welcomed. There had been hugs, kisses, and a few presents exchanged between him and his sister. As well as a few lectures about jumping into a city without thorough research of the hierarchy of the city and connections. Valeria had always been the one who followed protocol and covered every little detail to the max. While she was a woman calculated everything to the tiniest possibility, she was known to attack without warning. Strong, quick, and deadly attacks that eliminated problems in a matter of days or even weeks.

"If I had been sent here in the first place this city would already be mine." Valeria said, sipping on her scorching hot chocolate milk.

Alejandro, who had in front of her, rolled his eyes and glared at Mara when she tried to stifle a giggle. The usual three and Valeria sat in a booth in The Old Starboard bar. It was pretty busy with quite a lot of people drinking and playing about around them, unaware that the future boss of the city sat amongst them.

"Well, how about next time you just pick what city you want first. Alejandro brought his beer up to his lips to take a sip. "Besides, I heard you had some trouble down in Texas."

"It took a few days, but with the help of the police chief I managed to snuff out the last of the Ortegas and Johnsons. The chief was really helpful, you know. She even invited me to her daughter's quince next month. I might just attend and check up on Ochoa and how the operations are going down there."

"Show off." Alejandro smiled and reached over to pinch Valeria's cheek gently. "You should take a break, Vale. Relax after your victory down in Texas."

"I would have if you had already taken the city. Sol is a crucial place to make it easier to transport goods up to the North Alejandro. You can't take this job so easily. Valeria waved his hand away from her face with a little glare.

"I told you I have everything under control." He smiled, picking up his beer again. "I'm playing my cards right, Vale. You have to trust me on this one." Everything was falling into plan for him. Those who thought were above were just right in position for him to kick everything under them and make them fall. Just a few more weeks.

"You can't take this as a game, not after Huston." Valeria looked at John, who looked away quickly. "But I'm here now, and I'll help you take Sol."

LOCATION & TIME : PINK KITTEN CLUB
INTERACTIONS :ARIA - @KatKook
MENTIONS :

TW: Violence

Lilith couldn't get Aria out of her head. Her whole two minutes up in the main stage had been a blur, just like the past hour had been while on the floor. Her bag was getting heavy as she picked it up and tied it around her pastel pink shorts- that looked more like panties. She waved at the older gentleman, smiling when he waved back and made her way to her next client. The night was busy, as most Saturdays were. The club was buzzing with clients, mostly men, a few groups of women who wondered from nearby clubs to just have some fun.

Her next client had requested a private booth, a little more secluded but in full view of the security guards to make sure the clients didn't lay a hand on the girls, a rule that Lilith always appreciated. As she made her way to booth five, Lilith wondered where Aria was. She had noticed some of the discomfort from Aria before Lilith went in, but there hadn't been much time to really talk. She should probably call her and make sure she was okay during her break.

"Hello, I'm Lilith, glad you requested me hun- Oh, fuck no." Lilith had already stepped into the curtain covered booth to see a man with dirty blonde hair, broad shoulders, and five o'clock shadow. She crossed her arms over her chest, staring down at the man sitting with his legs spread. "No. Get out."

"What? I requested you. Now you have to do your job." The man said, a sly smile spreading over his face. "You said you liked your job, didn't you? Now do it. Show me how much you like this job, Lily."

"I'm not doing this shit with you, Erik. Get out, or I'm calling security." She took a set back and glanced back to see Jerry, a security guard with long black hair looking away from the booth. "I told you to stay away from me and my job." She glared back, Erik. "Now go away." She hadn't expected him to show up here in all of the places. Erik had been angry when he had found out about Lilith's job when they had been together. He had called her names and stormed out of her apartment in the middle of the night- and not to forget the broken window.

"You will give me what I paid for; this is what you left me for." Erik suddenly stood up and walked over to Lilith, reaching down to grab her wrist with a tight grip. You will dance, and I will enjoy it. Now.

Lilith stared up at Erik a bit taken back by the sudden action. She could see what he wanted and what he would do if he didn't get it from her right now. It scared her. "Fuck. You." She kicked Erik on the shin and pushed the man back as she rushed out of the booth towards Jerry. Behind her, Erik had recovered quickly and was rushing to catch her. Lilith had managed to get the attention of the guard just as a hand took her by the hair and yanked her back and to the floor.

The next few seconds became a blur. All she felt was pain over her face and chest, then a gust of wind and yelling all around her. She felt a few pairs of hands lift her from the blood as liquid ran down the side of her face. At one point, she had some other dancers around her, trying to comfort her, but she couldn't really hear them.

Forty minutes later, Lilith texted Aria to come to pick her up at the club with a few cop cars parked outside.

"Oh, please, the dude wouldn't even make it past the door before he got taken down." Lilith shouted into the older man's ear as the music surrounded them both. She continued to drag Lupin, as the man had introduced himself, towards the bar where the crowds of people weren't so dense.

She felt somewhat bad for the older gentleman since she had dragged him into the club without warning, but then again, she had probably provoked the hunter outside. She almost wanted to laugh at the expression the hunter had given her as she stuck out her tongue at him. What kind of loser just sat there in their car and cocked their gun? Lilith hadn't been able to help herself and tease the guy just as they went into the club. Now the hunter knew her face and might be able to spot her on the streets. Perfect. Lilith was starting to get bored.

"There aren't many burlesques left now; those are usually fancier than your common strip clubs." Lilith waved down a bartender and asked her for a bloody mary and an old fashioned for Lupin. When the waiter nodded and began to prep their drinks, she turned to the old werewolf to finally get a good look at him. "So, you French?" the bartender came back with their drink, and Lilith slid over her card. "What brings you to the oh so boring town of Ember Grove?' She had to roll her eyes at the name of the town.

Lilith hadn't planned to come to Ember Grove since she had been practically forced to by her creepy overprotective father. She knew others preferred the quiet towns snuggled next to a forest, but Lilith missed the bustling streets of Rome she got to explore during the days or the bike rides in Amsterdam. Lilith had never expected to end up here.
