Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

People cry, not because they are weak. It's because they've been strong for too long

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

Cody sighed in relief as Aron returned his text, and set his phone down. He leaned back into the beanbag, and closed his eyes. Aron was on his way, and Cody suddenly didn't feel afraid anymore. He smiled to himself, and after a few moments, he rose to go to the door of the tree house, looking out. For a moment, the trees around him brought back flashes of memory, and he grimaced, shaking his head and getting rid of the images. He wasn't going to let it over power him. As he leaned against the wall, Cody closed his eyes. As he waited, there was something that was...a little unnerving. Namely the fact he could hear and smell things he hadn't been able to before. It was...fascinating. He took a few moments to enjoy it, to understand it.

He heard Aron coming, long before he should have been able to. He opened his eyes slightly, watching Aron come towards him. His heart beat sped up, and he found himself wanting to go down there. Instead, Cody took the chance to watch Aron as he ran. There was something to be said about a runners physic, and Aron certainly had the sort of body that came from hard work. Cody wasn't ashamed to admit that he was ogling. But Aron was his boyfriend. He could ogle. He smiled to himself, glad he had taken the chance, and kissed Aron. Glad they had gotten together. Cody had had a crush on Aron for years. Even before he came out which hadn't necessarily been a shocking thing. His parents had known long before he let the world know, and he figured that on some level, his friends had as well.

Cody hadn't done anything for years, because...well, he hadn't wanted to lose one of his best friends, if Aron didn't swing...well, his way. And he'd been terrified of taking the chance. so he watched Aron approach, savoring the moment of it all. Stepping back as Aron began to climb, he smiled again, and hugged Aron to himself, "I"m just glad you are okay" He said softly, "I don't know what I would do if I lost you" His voice shook slightly, and he kissed him, pulling back after a moment. "Are you okay?"
The thing is, yes, it technical was only two post RP time, but actually, it was more. It was eight months. Timeskips don't just wipe out that time. You write, you reflect briefly on the development that should have occurred during that time.

At least, that is what I think.

Of course, I might be biased. I have learned to read a 15 page research paper in ten minutes, and have been an avid reader my whole life.
They're just so good, its a different writing style for collabs the it is for stand alone posts. And its always fascinating to see what people do with them. Some of my collabs, I go back and read several times. Even now, with a roleplay that didn't last, i go back and read the collabs between my character and anothers, because it's just so good!
: D

time for adorableness.
I enjoy collabs, and love the way they can bring out character development, relationships and well, your skill as a writer. Honestly, I've had collabs be very long, from meeting someone, to figuring out, hey, these two characters click, lets see how this goes. Yes, you get carried away, yes, it doesn't necessarily involve everyone else, but the point is, its development, and it actually is disrespectful to not read it.

I read everything. Why? Because I can get all fan girl-y over it and squeal and such at adorable moments or have an insight into others characters.

That being said, its time for me to go read the latest posts and post myself ^.^
Ignatius Maddox llywelyn

Ignatius looked over at Sebastian and grinned, ”Ah, Sebby! Creepy is the best, don’t you think? So many wonderful things in creepy” he chuckled, his eyes dancing with amusement, as he watched one of his best friends move towards the house. How could he ever be jealous of Sebastian? Sebastian was a brother to him, but...it was Isaura. His Isaura. Maybe he was going crazy. It wouldn’t surprise him. A laugh suddenly escaped him at Connor’s words.

”Oh, Conny, Conny, Con, con conner!” He chanted out, eyes alight, and voice full of merriment, ”I live every day to its fullest!” He laughed again, humming slightly. He turned his full attention to Isaura again, meeting her eyes, her deep, beautiful eyes that he could just lose himself in. And that, if he was being entirely truthful, he had a time or two. There was just something about Isaura, that he could never quite put his finger on. Something that drew him to her, and kept him there. ”Oh, Isie! If we didn’t do things because we had a bad feeling about them….then we wouldn’t live!” He said rather dramatically, ever the one for dramatics and flare. He chuckled, and hugged Isaura to him, enjoying her warmth, and the contact with her.

Soft, warm, and so very Isaura. He couldn’t really describe it. She was just...she made him laugh, made him smile, kept him from being a complete fool, and..she made him feel special. Even if she didn’t know it, didn’t notice it, she made him a better person, in every possible way. He looked down at her as she shifted, seemingly uneasily, and he gave her a small squeeze, looking about them. It appeared in the few moments he’d been….absorbed by Isaura, the others had been acting. Sebastian’s disappearance could only mean one thing-the scrawny little bugga had made his way in the house, through the window. He watched, waiting, ready to run in there and drag his butt back out if required, his grip tightening on Isaura slightly as he stood there, a little tense.

And then he appeared again, opening the door and Ignatius let out a slow breath. He looked down at Isaura again, as she pressed against him, and he couldn’t help the smile that spread across his features. He tightened his grip on her again, as if he could quite easily just...not let her go. What was he going to do? There was just so much...emotion. He sighed softly, and shifted, not letting Isaura go. ”You’re right, it doesn’t look stable. In fact, it looks like it might just fall over with a gust of strong wind. Like the three little pigs and the big bad wolf” He said, drawing in a deep breath and letting it out in an explosive puff, with a menacing face, before he broke it, and smiled.

He let it fade after a moment, looking back to the cottage. ”Normally I wouldn’t want you doing anything that freaked you out...but Sebastian is in there, and you know he’ll get into trouble without us, or rather, without you...” he said softly, looking back to her, a little worried. He wouldn’t go in, if she wasn’t. He wasn’t about to leave her out here by herself, and maybe they could talk….or maybe he’d just make a fool of himself. He didn’t even know what was wrong with him. ”Come on Seb, get your butt out here, it doesn’t seem pleasant in there, at least from your expression! I don’t want to have to uncover your butt from the wreckage if that thing falls on you, not if it stinks!” He said, tone amused once more, although he didn’t mean to joke. He tried to see behind Sebastian, frowning slightly. It didn’t look like the inside was better than the outside-in fact, it looked a hell of a lot worse.
poke

Callie looked over as Leo joined in on her singing, smiling with pleasure, and leaning back against him as he hugged her, "Good morning, dearest Leo" She replied, "Mmm. It always smells divine You really have to be here more often for it" She said, giving him a chuckle, watching him get a glass of Orange juice, she said "Get one for Alexis as well, and perhaps Magnus would like one as well" She studied him a moment, and sighed softly, "I wish you'd let me give you something, for bad dreams" Of course, if they were visions, nothing would stop them coming, and so she wouldn't force the issue if it was a moot point.

The potion tasted foul.

"Who said I slept?" Callie said in response, making sure the work area was clean, before she thoroughly washed her hands, "The night was dark, and full of terrors. Easier to beat away awake, then suffer visions while I slept" Callie said after a moment. Then sighed softly, turning to face Leo. ”Leo…” She said softly, ”I’m scared” She said wearily, if she couldn’t speak with Leo, she couldn’t speak to anyone. ”There’s something coming.” She shook her head, and retrieved the spoon from the vat of salt water, ”Will you come with me, when I speak with Zoe?” She asked, putting the spoon in the spell sink to wash later.

She looked over, and watched Magnus walk in, shuffling, and make...tea with hot chocolate? Well. That was a little eccentric, but what did she know? She made potions with all kinds of stuff. She gave him a small smile, ”Good morning, Magnus Did you sleep well?” She asked him, nodding to the plates with food, warmed by a simple spell ”Breakfast is served, by the way. Help yourself” She said, glancing to Leo, a silence communication to tell him they could continue their conversation later. ”I’d really like it if you stayed for breakfast” She said, ”I believe it is going to be a long day for all of us, and you need strength” She said to Magnus, making it clear that he had no option in the matter.

She smiled over at Alexis even before the girl said morning, ”Good morning, Alexis”. She turned to the girl, finding it...satisfying to see the girl eating, enjoying the food, if looking a bit out of place near the two men. She couldn’t blame Alexis for feeling uneasy around them. They were both powerful men, and had good looks. She was beyond being intimidated by either of them. Alexis, despite everything, was still half a child. There was much she had to learn, ,and Callie just hoped she could guide her on the right path. The young woman had a lot of potential, and she didn’t want to see that go to waste.

”Did you sleep well?” She asked, her expression growing a little distant, as she looked out the window. A glazed look came over her a moment, and then Callie looked back to the trio, ”Alexis, would you like to come over tonight, when you are free, for a lesson” She asked her, smiling once more as she joined them, sitting down, and grabbing some food herself.
”You have a lot to learn, and it would be good to speak with you, find out what you know and need to learn, as well as any concerns you might have” she smiled, ”and if you need a ride anywhere, I am happy to oblige”
My heart kinda broke for the whole lot of them.
Cody bowed his head and closed his eyes. They didn't understand him, they didn't want his help. He couldn't allow them to destroy the world...and yet he wanted to save them. He didn't see an option that was both. As he found himself flung into the air, his body reacted before his mind could truly understand what was happening. Light enveloped him, cradling him before placing him safely on the ground.

"I'm sorry" He whispered, his voice softer then the wind.

He was sorry about having to do this, having to fight them when he didn't want to. He was sorry about having to stop them, but he couldn't let them destroy the world. His heart broke, knowing that he had failed them. Knowing that he couldn't save them, couldn't show them kindness. Couldn't show them, there was still good in the world. It broke his heart, shattering it into a million pieces.

"I'm sorry"

As he faced his would be killer, his eyes able to perceive the light, growing fainter it seemed by the mine, of Thy's being, Cody felt tears sting his eyes, and he didn't try and stop them. They fell, shamelessly, down his cheeks, his heart heavy, his body seeming to be filled with a never endless supply of them.

"I'm sorry"

He bowed his head again, steeling himself for what he had to do.

"I don't want to do this"

His body shook with the emotions churning through him. He knew the boy didn't seem to understand him, knew that there was no way he could convey how he wanted to help, how sorry he was. Nothing. He began to gather light to him, bright, encasing him, letting himself fill to bursting with the bright, light.
