I'm kind of sad not to see NoBrain back yet but we need our full team if we want an official Jormungandr pet! Also Lug, what time are you closing the competition at and what time zone are you in? I was thinking about doing one that would be heavily influenced by the Jormungandr plans made long ago when we were sitting up writing a load of crap on the pad which was surprisingly amusing. Gone are the days where we could do random shit on our pad! RIP in peace, Old Jormungandr!
Which stupid thing do you plan on using? If I recall correctly there was a lot :P
There. Not as detailed as I would have liked, but writing up on borrowed time doesn't allow kinda puts a damper on those creative juices :/
ARMOURY to P.E. The back and forth between him and Rayna almost made him laugh. Victor knew he was on thin ice, but he wasn't especially fearful since Rayna was far too much fun for that and well he couldn't really imagine her with an angry face. Questioning Victor probed "Anymore? So you had a rank then? Well regardless, you are my Captain right? Your wish is my command and all that Oh Captain my Captain." Humming away to himself Victor reassembled his prosthetic, happy that he could repair it with proper tools. Unlike removing it, connecting his arm gave Victor a rather different experience. The dread of loss is replaced with the tolerance of pain, as once it is connected the arm starts it's work of activating it's artificial nerves, giving Victor the sensation of being next to an open fire for the first five minutes. It was annoying and made him want to run it under cold water, even though he knew it was rather pointless. Once it cooled off Victor stretched and tested it's mobility. Pleased he started tapping each of his fingers and was happy with the feedback he got from the small hits. Just in time too since the bell rang out soon after his last tests. "Well Captain, I have P.E. now. So I'm heading that way. I better hurry up, it would be rather impolite to be late. I'll see you when I see you next." with a smile and a wave Victor wandered off to get changed. It actually took longer than Victor intended to get changed, his own shirts generally had larger sleeves to accommodate his arm, but Beacon issued uniforms were average, making him be extra careful and take those extra few seconds. Coming out of the change room Victor tried to keep his run stable. Since a metal arm is heavier than a normal arm and although he can keep pace with most people, Victor's stride was rather... unbalanced when compared to others. Listening to Mr. Kore Victor was a bit concerned about the talk about asthmatic attacks and heart attacks. It's fairly obvious what I have, but beyond that... I don't think I have any issues. Wait... two miles? Well that's... doable I suppose, although Captain Rayna already led me on a marathon turned scavenger hunt. As everyone started off, Victor stalled a bit, but soon had his engine running. The weight of Victor's arm made him have an inefficient run, causing him to have a slight zig-zag pattern to it. A single sentence flashed through his mind You're like a drunk dog trying to find his tail Vicky! smiling he decided to stay close to the back of the pack, in an effort to avoid any unfortunate collisions.
Just letting you all know I've been having some issues with my internet and may have trouble posting and since It's 1am and I am not in the mood for trying to write a post on my iPod touch I'll try going to a library or something tomorrow. Kindest Regards and thanks for the understanding, McFazzer :)
No no no, you don't understand. This is the first day of school, the progression of these things should be tension, breaking point, events in-between building up, climax, and then aftermath. You guys skipped tension and went into breaking point to events in-between. There was absolutely no build up to this. You can STILL show this conflict through words and expressions and subtle actions. I'm honestly not sure on all the details, but letting slip being part of a terrorist organization so early is like throwing out your ace. What could've happened is that Geni finds out so and so has a passionate hate for the White Fang instead. With that, their interactions could be a little awkward, but maybe they become friends. And bam, the fact that he was a former White Fang drops and you have suddenly a very very personal conflict, much deeper than the little feud here.
So it's not that there shouldn't have been a fight, it's that it happened far too soon?
What happens to the characters made in these competitions? Will they be introduced as NPC's or something?
ARMOURY Hearing Rayna talk about her past Victor felt that he had to share as well. "I hate how it feels when my arm is removed, it's like hanging by a thread over a shark tank, your one lifeline, and you have to let go. I always hesitate," glancing to the side at Rayna "prolonging it, as if by taking longer it won't have to happen. It is... scary. Then it is done, gone, as if I never even got a replacement in the first place. It feels empty, not even a phantom limb to remember it by." taking his arm from Rayna, Victor lays it out on the table in front of him and with a practiced hand he starts disassembling it. "Don't worry about all this past business." matching Rayna's wild grin Victor turned to her "You're the Captain after all... unless you would prefer me to call you M'lady?" The growing conflict felt like background static, ever present and building up until it could no longer be ignored. Victor only started really paying attention when the threat of a tank was introduced Are you kidding me? Have you not heard of escalation of force? Don't do that! You'll just start a fire! next thing he knew that threatening spark blew up the political powder keg. A short fight broke out and miraculously managed to resolve itself before Professor Chatsworth had to intervene, he was only needed for clean up. Looking down Victor went to resume his work but found that he had already striped it down to it's metal skeletal frame. Well... practice really does make perfect. Stepping back Victor looked at his arm all spread out and was, as always, slightly amazed. Whispering to Rayna Victor said "It's weird isn't it? So many parts fit together to make my arm and my weapon... It's also a bit creepy, the metal skeleton arm part." grabbing some WB-40 Victor started meticulously cleaning and oiling every part that needed it, noting down any part that could be improved The lenses used in the cannon could be higher quality, I better sharpen the blade as well "What plans do you have for this class M'lady Captain Rayna? What plans will lead Jormungandr to glory?" grinning broadly Victor did his best to put the political fight in the back of his mind and was determined to stay out of it. As far as he was concerned it was just a fight. No terrorism, no politics, nothing. Politics is what caused me to need this arm. Little good comes from it.
nothing NOTHING Can come close to the stupidity of Spider-Gwen. #driftingdangerouslyofftopic
I'm actually interested in Spider-Gwen (the costume looks nice anyway). Elseworlds stories always make me curious. For example "What if Superman crashed in Soviet Russia?" you get "Superman Red Son" or in the case of Mark Millar his comics are "What if [insert comic book character] was a jerk?" they are good fun. #driftingdangerouslyofftopicbutIllpushitalittlebitmore
Well the animated series was phenominal though in the reboot it puzzles me, The Human Torch is cast as a black guy (nothing wrong with that of course) while the Invisible Woman is cast white, there supposed to be siblings. Someone want to explain this one to me?
If I recall they are either both adopted or are step-siblings in the reboot (I'm leaning on adopted).
<Snipped quote by LokiLeo789> They made two truly awful movies and if that wasn't bad enough they're creating a reboot that looks a hundred times worse.
And Marvel is discontinuing the comic series to try to strangle the Studio a bit.
