@McFazzer If you have trouble finding anyone else, I'm fairly sure Shuka now has no roommates due to player drop outs. Also no door, but hey what're you gonna do, right?
Sorry for the longish post, wanted to fill up before the time-skip <D
Eli

Eli was plenty good at multitasking, and had no problems listening to the captain alongside shuffling through the dossiers. The overarching goal of the mission sunk in, but she payed special attention to the bits concerning herself and her comrades. The melee-focus of her own role didn't come as a surprise, it was what she had trained for. What did come as a surprise were the roles of the others, not out of distaste, but rather just the feel of what their team would be like. The two she wasn't sure of were "Percy" and "Verona". Jingo and Madison had introduced themselves so that didn't leave many options, and the remaining NC's she'd seen helped narrow it down. It sounded like Percy was more oriented towards direct combat if he was being paired with Madison to clear out potential hostiles. So his was likely the more standard looking NC, leaving the artillery-looking one, which must have been Verona's. Interesting name, though she couldn't quite place a nationality.

Then of course there were the threats. The radiation didn't seem too much of an issue, and while the thought of going up against actual enemies didn't worry her --at least not in any way she'd admit-- she couldn't help wonder what it would be like. Were the factions sending greens like them as well, or would these be seasoned veterans? There was mention of possible melee-class NC's, Red-Stars at that, were they well-trained? A ninety-eight percent success rate was encouraging, but Eli couldn't help but feel it was inflated. With such potential for combat how could the odds ever be that skewed?

Whatever of the case, Eli decided it best not to dwell on it for long. When they were dismissed she went directly to the hanger and took the lift up to Blur's cockpit. It was hard to remain straight-faced as she ascended, and were she of a lesser composure the sight of the pilot's seat would have made her giddy. But before she could be happy, there came the quiet yet incessant yapping in the back of her mind. It made her breaths, already shortened by the cold, thin air, even shorter, made her hands twitch into tight little balls. When the lift came to a stop she sped into the seat, and only when she was sealed inside did she remove her hood and loosen the scarf.

Breathe. As the connection process began she knew that if she didn't calm herself it would only complicate things. Breathe. In. Out. The very idea of sharing her mind, her body, herself as a whole with a machine unnerved her. If the hull took damage would she feel it? Or would there simply be an absence, a numbness. Stop. Damage was inevitable in something this big. All of them were just massive walking targets, surely hitting one couldn't be that hard. What if she wasn't fast enough? You know what will happen if you don't stop.

Eli exhaled, her whole body shook. When her lungs were empty her pulse slowed, and as they refilled the edging panic ebbed away. As the connection process continued on she regretted not contacting Vera beforehand. She had promised to tell her what the NC's were like, and there was a throb in the back of her mind. You may never get to. You aren't going to die. She chose to listen to the latter, taking it to heart before trying to relax and starting the simulations as they had been instructed to. Four hours would be enough to prepare, and when it was time to move out she would be ready. She would have to be.
Oh alright, wasn't sure if the skip was happening immediately or not xD I'll have a post out here shortly, thanks Nutter!
Don't mind the timeskip either!

EDIT:

Wait did you man directly from the briefing room?
Mashuka jumped when he heard the intercom, he hadn't expected they'd get a message from the director amidst a battle. Unless of course that had also been a test. It didn't seem that way though, but they also weren't getting any explanations, which wasn't entirely unexpected. Regardless, no matter how curious he was as to why they were attacked, he wasn't going to complain if things had stopped. Not only stopped, but gotten right back on track.

"Tomorrow?" he mumbled to himself, a bit unsure. It was likely necessary that the students get their training as soon as possible, but even still the idea made him nervous. If day one had been like this, how would day two be? He'd seen how off-kilter some of the upperclassmen were, and it worried him to think of what the teachers would be like.

Clambering up into his bed, he flopped back and set the kukri beneath his pillow. Sleeping wouldn't be easy, not with all of the things on his mind, but on the other hand, the mattress was soft and the blankets warm. Perhaps it wouldn't be as tough as he thought.
Madi the Wub Queen
Eli couldn't help the excitement when she finally saw the NC. Beforehand all she'd had was a file and a name: Blur. Neither did the actual thing justice, neither left her feeling like an ant standing at the foot of a titan. For the most part she couldn't wait to get behind the controls, but a tiny, anxious voice in the back of her mind squeaked out in protest. She was quick to silence it.

When she heard they were to report to the captain, Eli wasted no time in starting off, saluting both Bill and Alex. "Thank you for the transportation," she said, and then went on.

What kind of person was the captain? Alex had made it sound as though she was a tad on the harsh side, but Eli was aware enough that not everyone was accustomed to such behavior. Perhaps it wasn't the captain's character that peaked her curiosity, but rather what her role was. The only NC's Eli had seen so far were the ones she and her comrades would be piloting, were there others hidden off somewhere? Would the captain be commanding them on the battlefield, or would she be back here, safe and away from the conflict? Was she trained in the use of NC's? Eli found it hard to imagine they'd be put under the command of someone who didn't know about what they were commanding, but then this was Smith's Rest's first go.

Regardless, Eli would be quick to enter briefing room. Not only was the cold beginning to seep through her layers, but the promise of activity on day one was too tantalizing to fall behind on.
Awesomeness, glad to see we're gettin' along with things! : D
Cinwi never walked the streets unless she was wrapped up. Above the bottom layer bodysuit she wore a jacket, a hood, and a scarf beneath that running up to her nose. Her pants were baggy and tied at the ankles, while elbow-length arm-warmers led into fingerless gloves on her hands. As little skin as possible, the less people could see of her, the better. The heat didn't bother her much, she was used to it and the girl wasn't prone to sweating, so she walked with relative comfort.

Where to? Well, the nigh-inaudible and yet still unmistakable signal told her well enough that Dangeki was the place to be. Why? She didn't have a clue, and she didn't care too much either. The past few days had been uneventful, and while she wasn't one to complain about peace --anymore at least-- time had begun to drag a bit. So she walked in the hopes that there would be something interesting in store, maybe a mission, maybe a cry for help, either way it was better than the practically nothing she was doing before.

When at last she arrived, it didn't take long for her to pick up the all-too-familiar scent of humans, and she scowled beneath the scarf. Though she could give a thousand slightly-fabricated excuses for disliking them, a concrete reason always avoided her. Since the day she was born humans had been the enemy, and the weak Youkai that aided them. That's just the way things were, a rule of nature simple as that. Except now she was part of that group, and dammit she wasn't weak, but the humans felt like enemies all the same. In another time she might not have been able to repress the urge to lash out at them, but now, at least in some small way, Cinwi was a new person. A Chaser. If that meant swallowing back her natural instincts for the greater good --whatever that was-- then so be it, she could manage.

So she shuffled past the girl and man without so much as a word, before setting down on a stool at the front counter. Her attention went to the maid behind it, a woman she saw here frequently enough --though Cinwi wasn't one to frequent the cafe herself-- but wasn't entirely sure what her name was. What she was sure of was that the lady, whatever she was, was not human, and that was enough to settle Cinwi a bit.

"Ay," she said to the barmaid, tugging the front of her scarf down and keeping her voice relatively low. "Am I hearin' shit or did you guys send out a signal?"
