Yup yup! Sorry it's a bit late, had a tad more work than I expected this week.
When Eli was dressed and ready to leave, Vera was still curled up in bed with no signs of waking any time soon. A smirk found its way onto her face, and she left a note for the girl to tell her where she'd gone. Of course, as soon as Eli was out the door the smile had gone from her face, and her mouth had vanished behind her scarf. It was time to work.

She was early to the briefing room, and listened intently to the list of possible contracts. To be honest, choosing contracts hadn't been something she had expected to do. It made the most sense to her that they would take whatever came their way, but dividing and conquering seemed a good enough strategy. Eli couldn't help the bit of pride that swelled within her when the captain referred to her by her NC's designation. It would be lie to say she didn't hope to achieve some sort of name for herself here, and if she became synonymous with her weapon, then so be it, there were far worse things to be known by.

While she agreed with the captain on her own assignment, Eli was doubtful of Percy. Jingo had proved to be at least competent with the smaller size of his NC, but Percy did not seem to be as far disciplined. It wasn't so much out of worry for his life, but if they lost a pilot, it would set Smith's Rest incredibly back. Still, she held her tongue. It was not her place to question the captain's faith, if the man could hold his own, then he would live.

"I have no issue remaining on the Volkov contract," she said, glancing to Madison and Verona. They had both performed well, though the other girl worried her a bit. Not that she doubted Madison's skills, but dear god she dreaded sharing comms with her again. When her piece was said, she stepped back and waited for the input of the others.
What kind of updates do you have in mind?
Pff, fair enough <D
Had some things come up the other day, should be able to get something up today unless someone goes ahead first. Don't want this to die either, things are just gettin' started.
Well the other potential player hasn't been on in a week, might be safe to start lookin' for new replacements.
Was also waitin' to see if the others had anything else goin' on, but I can whip up a post after classes today o/

I mean I dunno, I feel like applying extremes like that as a blanket mentality does way more harm than good. Targeting someone who is merely similar or related to the person who is actually the target of your frustration/anger/what have you isn't "moral ambiguity". It's more like a failure to properly connect emotional ties, which isn't so much a morality thing as it is a psychological thing. The idea that "sometimes bad things need to be done" is a pretty common excuse used for horrific acts that generally result in no objectively good outcomes, but instead fulfill a selfish desire under the guise of something objectively good.

And lol I feel ya man, that game will fuck you up.

@KoL I dunno, sometimes a little discussion is healthy and fun!
@White Feather
Yeah but right there is the "wow what" part of the problem. Adult or child, enacting revenge on an objectively innocent party by association is where the moral gray line seems to get a bit clearer, if you know what I mean?
@White Feather
Hey man absolutely, I'm just saying it's a widely-regarded faulty system often associated with tyrant-style behavior. Like a self-fulfilling prophecy kinda deal, you punish the children for their parents who in turn punish your children for theirs. Revenge as a concept in general is a pretty tricky moral subject, but it's still pretty clear to see "good" and "wow what" when you observe it.

But hey, just my two cents. Two cents never made anyone rich lol
