But your point about attack character is a load of crap, every serious debate I've had has kept the focus strictly on the argument, and very respectful. Look at my exchange with @The Harbinger of Ferocity about James Allsup and find my 'outrageous character attacks' or 'ad-homenims' go on, I'll wait. Or even better, ask the Cat-Man himself about how 'disrespectful' I was during the exchange.

That one time where you spent two pages calling me a racist (for, ironically, valuing the lives and accomplishments of African-Americans) was super 'on the argument' and 'respectful.'
From what you've said, you don't give him the benefit of the doubt, you actively believe he is someone worth taking seriously as a president, something many republicans do not do, and that can only mean you've either drank the cool-ade he wants people to, or you're so against the left you'll take whatever.

Those are some very reductive options.

also: it's Kool-Aid.
EDIT: Unless of course its Ben Shapiro, but you guys seem to like pretending he doesn't exist on here.

I fucking love Ben Shapiro. If I could turn time simultaneously backwards and forwards, so that Shapiro was old enough to run against Trump in 2016, I woulda voted Shapiro hands-down.

Incidentally I wouldn't call myself a "Trump nut" anyway. I don't hate him. This, to many, constitutes an insane level of adoration for the man. But I'm just like hey, it's not my fault that everything in the press is bullshit, what am I supposed to do, just go along with it for fear of being branded a lunatoh my god that's exactly the plan.

I'm assuming you're talking about the Steele dossier, which has turned out to be accurate in several areas.

"Perhaps more intriguing, the most explosive charge in the Steele document was the claim that Trump hired prostitutes to defile a bed slept in by former President Obama. The important factor to consider is that Trump did not engage with the prostitutes himself, but instead allegedly sought to denigrate Obama. If there is anything consistent in what we have learned about President Trump, it seems that his policies are almost exclusively about overturning and eradicating anything related to President Obama’s tenure. In this sense, he is akin to the ancient Pharaohs, Byzantine and Roman Emperors like Caligula, who sought to obliterate the existence of their predecessors, even destroying and defacing their images. Is it inconceivable that he would get some satisfaction from a private shaming of the former President?"

THAT, friend, is the standard of accuracy used in your article. I shouldn't have to say more.

A Republican initiated the report, why would both democrats and republicans pay for a fake dossier? We also knew this back in January, this isn't news.

This new thing called "the primaries." Plus, dunno if you noticed this, but McCain isn't exactly a big fan of the don.

I mean if you ignore that he seems to be in serious trouble for money laundering, then yeah.

Well obviously I ignore THAT! News to me. What's it got to do with Russia? Excuse me. What does that reportedly possibly allegedly have to do with Russia? Because if -- as it's been reported all over -- the FBI raid on Manafort was a product of insider politicking at the bureau, that's bad news for the NYAG. "Fruit of the poisonous tree" doctrine is gonna throw all that shit out. Which would be a shame -- if the dude is actually criminal, we should obviously do something about it.

I didn't realize you were on Mueller's team. There haven't exactly been huge leaks from Mueller and his team, we don't know exactly what they know and what links they've discovered. Multiple Trump associates have links with Russia which have come to the public eye, it's unclear if Mueller's team has followed these links.

Sooooooooooooo nothing. We've been presented with precisely nothing.

Are you 100% sold on that?

<Snipped quote by mdk>

Yeah man some people say the earth is flat, some people say its round. Who knows? It could even be square, its good to keep an open mind on these things.

It's an oblong spheroid actually
Well I was hoping to find some common ground but I see that's not the case.

I don't think it's a valid scientific position to be 100% sold on ANYTHING. You too should question the models used to predict global catastrophe, especially when observations routinely invalidate them.
@mdk, you are aware Trump and Pence are climate change deniers, right? Just curious.

Skeptics, at the moment. Their positions have changed an awful lot. Whatever they needed to believe or dis-believe in order to get us out of the Paris Accords, I'm grateful.

Then again I'm not 100% sold on man-made climate change either. But that's neither here nor there.
