When riza got close the shadows went for her but stopped inches away from her. When she got close to wolf Riza could see she was crying, her hands brighter red. Fate tried to move, wanting to protect both girls from the danger. Wolf looked up at riza, her eyes black and glowing slightly. "It hurts riza...I can't think....I cant...." Then the shadows pulled back as soon as riza hugged her, letting fate go and he landed on his feet. Wolf fought to keep her eyes open, her hands aching in pain and her head spinning. Fate turned to the others and said "another portal opened in Gotham. By the docks. It was what sent her over board. That and her lack of sleep these past few days...caught me off guard"

She sat watching the city lights, looking around as the night lights around her blinked and sparkled. She stood up, her black cloak wrapping around her like shadow. She looked up at the moon and said "Where will you send me tonight, Man in the Moon? Who's ready for the next world?" She listened and hear a soft voice in her ear and she nodded. "Very good, they will be protected" She moved her shoulders and huge black wings appeared, her cloak turning into her wings. She jumped into the air and flew above the busy city, heading for a small apartment. A young girl was coughing, her mom checking her temperture. "Oh sweetheart...how are you feeling?" the small girl shook her head and said "Not good momma..." The mother stood up and said "I'm calling the doctor...I'll be right back..." She left the room and the little girl curled up, coughing. The woman appeared at her bedside, resting her hand on the small girls head. "Poor thing...you've had a bad couple of days haven't you?" The little girl looked at her and her eyes got really big. "Are you an angel?" She smiled and said "YEs...I'm your angel...your going to be alright, Cindy..." Her hand glowed and Cindy glowed. A black form came from her and the angel caught it, putting it into her cloak. Then she kissed the girls forehead and said "You will be a great person Cindy..." Then she vanished. Mom came back in to see Cindy sitting up and smiling. "I'm all better mom...an angel came"

The angel landed on the roof, looking at the dark energy floating in her hand. "Well, third case of infected soul this week...odd" Then she looked up at the Moon again and said "What's going on? Something is coming...I can sense it"

Jack Skellingtion was walking up to Santa's workshop, looking around in wonder. He had been here before, but the northpole was still so wonderful to him. He stopped at the doors and knocked, stepping back. After a few moments the door opened and Tooth was standing there. He smiled and said "Hey Pumpkin King. Your the first one here. Come on in and take a load off" She pulled the door open more and JAck walked inside, smiling widely. Jack and tooth headed to Santa's office, Tooth smiling as she watch the bone man look around. "First time in the workshop?" Skellingtion nodded and said "Its very wonderful...I wish Sally could have come with me but she is home with the little ones..." Tooth nodded and paused at the office door and knocked. "Santa!? Mr. Skellington is here.! Open the door!"

The shadows in the room were going nuts, wolf in the middle with fate pinned against a wall. He looked down and yelled "get out of here! She's not stable right now" wolf was on her knees, shaking and holding herself

Artemis looked up and said "Hey Maiden, good to see you up and about. Fate and Wolf are inside and Wolf is losing it...We can't see inside because Fate always turns the cameras off but the doors are jammed too so we don't know if they are alright in there or not" they heard steps and Robin walked up with Aqua Lad, still looking weak but a lot better then he was. "What's going on?"

They ran thru the trees, Bane keeping his senses open for the hunters after Megumi. Megumi however was mentally back in her village. She was worried they weren't going to get there in time to save her home. When she closed her eyes for a moment a image of a village a blaze flashed in her mind. She heard screams and yelling as people ran for their lives. But she saw snow on the ground...but it was early summer? Megumi stumbled and caught her foot on a branch, causing her to trip and at that speed was not good. Bane saw her crumple and yelled "James! Megumi!"

Batman nodded and said "I'll call Cyborg and together I think we can get what you need. And we can get everything in a few hours..." He stood up then said "You should talk to Wolf about her father...and soon. She should be in the war room with fate" He opened the door and let her leave first, closing the door behind Jarvis.

When Riza reached the war room there was crashes and yelling, Wally and Artemis and Connor standing outside of the doors listening

Batman listened carefully, his eyes not leaving hers. Then he said "the league is jumpy because sense those portals opened a lot worse things have been going on. We fear that if they keep opening up, the world will tear apart. The problem we are having is nailing down the energy markers that seem to drive the openings. They seem to have an anchor here somehow. But we can't find it...." He looked at riza for a moment then said "there's something you need to know about wolf. When I found her as a child with Jon, she was only four years old. She was in Gotham, in one of the abandoned warehouses that they are makin into apartments at the time. Jon sensed a powerful energy that nearly floored him. We went in and found her. She was sitting on the floor, crying and shaking out of fear. When we went to her she looked at us and asked if we were sent by her father to find her. That she had gotten lost. We told her we would help her find her parents but she said 'my daddy is my family....but the team is too. The Xmen are my family and I want to go home'. We took her back to the base and since then she can't rememeber anything of her past or family. I believe from what she said.....that she is from your world and was taken from there for some reason. Does anything she said ring bells with you?"
