After VT went to get Serena Bane growled at the kitsune and said “just keep your mouth shut around her. I mean it. She’s been thru enough without you making her feel worse trying to be nice to you. She’s fighting her own battles right now and trying to...” he paused and then said “she’s in the same boat as you...so just keep your trap shut. You may have power behind you but I can be a good match for you if I’m pissed off enough...”

Serena was sitting on a rock when he found her. She glanced over and said “I just need something better to tie to up higher...I keep bumping it...I am not a damsel...” she wiped her bleeding nose again.

Bane nodded and said “I’ll see if I can get us a ride to that gas station...stay here” he took off into the trees heading for where Serena said the road was. Serena waved VT off and said “I’m fine. I’ve had worse. We need to finish the mission...” she glared at the fox and said sharply “and mind your own business. You seemed fine doing it before now. I thought not giving a crap about us other beings was your thing” she moved away from VT and started walking off again.

Bane came back after a few minutes and said “I found a truck...looks like the driver got scared and left it...it’s just up there. Where is serena?” Serena was heading towards the road on her own, cursing as she bumped her shoulder again. She snapped her fingers and the shadow holding the foxs wound left. She wasn’t in the helping mood anymore.

Bane sniffed the air and said “and one of you pissed her off...”

Bane walked by the droid and muttered “we need to keep moving...I can shift during the day but not while I’m still healing...what is the plan? Do we call for backup or try and finish the mission?”

Serena walked by the fox and saw him favoring his side. She tapped him on the shoulder and said “don’t get upset...just let me help somehow...” she waved her hand and a shadow moved under his shirt and wrapped around the injury, keeping it bond and from bleeding. She flinched and said “it’s not a permanent fix but it will hold for now...”

She started walking again without pausing, holding her busted arm and trying to keep her feet from tripping. Now the fox could see the blood was coming from the back of her head. She wiped her nose and saw it was bleeding. She paused then wiped her hand on her pants, trying to hide it. She didn’t want them worrying more about her.

Serena looked at the droid and said “no one will see the shadows. So relax...” one shadow came back and Serena touched the shadow. She flinched at her arm and then said “there’s a main road a mile that way...then down the road is a gas station but no one is there...we can make contact there...” Serena nodded to the shadow that vanished.

Bane looked at the other two and said “we better get moving...Kitsune? Can you stay by Serena and make sure she doesn’t get more hurt? I’ll lead with my nose, VT keep us covered”

Serena waved her hood hand and muttered “I’m fine...just dizzy is all...I’ll live...” she looked at the fox and said “sorry about the name...just kinda slipped out...”

Bane slowly got up and flinched as he did, then looked at the kitsune and said “thanks...” he looked at Serena and frowned. “She’s worse then she’s letting on...” Serena was tying her arm against her chest, her head pounding as she muttered “I’m fine...let’s go. I can get a car running if we find one...”

She looked around and added “or...I do this” she waved her good hand and three shadows jumped up. She finches and swayed a moment then said “go scout and report back” the shadows shot off, looking for anything nearby.

Bane limped forward and said “Serena...your hurt..”

Serena sighed and smiled weakly as she slowly stood, holding her busted arm and blood dripped from her head. “Thank goodness...I didn’t have a chance to root myself down...I’m glad you guys are okay. Tora? Is he awake? We should make sure he didn’t hit his head as well...” she didn’t even think of the name she used, her own head pounding and scrambled.

Bane groaned as the wound started healing, able to bring him around slightly as his own wolf healing was able to take over. He slow sat up, holding his head and muttered “what happened...”

Serena stumbled over and said “the gate blew that’s what...I didn’t even have a chance to finish a seal to help repair it and it blew...bad timing...” she swayed a little, not paying attention to her own wounds as she looked at the kitsune and droid. “VT your not damaged? And Tora? Your okay? You weren’t hurt were you?”

Bane shook his head and said “I’m not talking about this company...I’m just talking her. She would be the only one who could be able to help you...”

Serena was drawing out the seals on the map to work out the problem when she felt the gate crack. She looked around and said “crap that wasn’t me...” she ran to the door to warn them when the plane was hit and she went flying, hitting the wall hard and getting thrown all over.

Bane cursed and grabbed VT and the kitsune to keep them from flying all over the cockpit but a chair came lose and flew at the droid. Bane moved and moved the droid out of the way but the chair hit him hard just as they were teleported.

When they landed bane was laying on his side, his back bleeding. Serena was laying a few yards away, trying to sit up while holding a dislocated shoulder and her head was bleeding. She looked around and muttered “it wasn’t me...the seals weren’t even up yet...I can’t do the magic without being in the location of the gate....VT? Master Kitsune? Are you both alright? Where is bane?” She was trying to get up with one arm.

Bane hadn’t moved, hadn’t come around yet from the hit.

Bane watched him and muttered “worth it to save lives...VT...don’t let him near Serena again...” he walked over to the woman and he rested a hand on her shoulder. “Just do what you need to, Night...don’t let him tell you other wise...I know your true power...”

Serena nodded and headed to the back of the plane, grabbing her bag and opening the back door to the storage and shutting it behind her. Bane glared at the fox and muttered “you touch her and I will make sure you suffer...she’s the closest thing you could have to an ally and friend...she knows exactly what your going thru...more then you can ever know...”

Serena started working on a seal system on the floor with chalk paint. She paused, wiping her eyes and taking a breath. “I’ll get you back...I swear I will...we are the only ones left of the blessed ones...no humans can stop me from fixing the damage done and getting you back...” she went back to her work, her sword glowing as did the shadows around her.

Bane sat by VT and asked “can you keep an eye on her? She hasn’t been...herself lately and I don’t want her to get hurt”
