The Golden Crescent Hunt {Private} MegaraFoxfire and Dragon Princess

Bane waved and said “I can’t sleep now...I’m too worked up. I’m wanting to shift and hunt something...” he kept pacing, needing sleep but being too worked up. Serena had a light sleep, the healing magic working but her mind still at odds. Bane kept pacing, looking more worn as the night went on but couldn’t stop his mind from running thru everything.

Serena nodded and closed her eyes, the song helping calm her as she took some deep breathes and slowly was able to drift into a light sleep. Bane cursed and said “that’s what they have over her...I couldn’t figure out why she was sticking to their rules...now it makes sense...no wonder she can’t sleep...”

He got up to pace out his anger. “I’m only there because of Vos...they shouldn’t be making her do this...” Serena turned in her sleep, muttering in her native tongue

Bane nodded and sat down by the droid. “You think he will tell us if he needs help with anything? Wait, what caused her powers to go out of whack? I know she was using them...” then he paused and said “she must have been using them since we left...”

Serena nodded weakly and muttered weakly “Torak...thank you...I’m sorry I yelled at you...before...I haven’t been sleeping well and...it really hurt...before...but she was really nice...she reminded me of brother...he has similar eyes to hers...not as pretty...but the color...well it was before they took him and made him into that...thing...” a couple tears ran down her cheek.

Bane looked over and frowned. “Wait, brother? VT, what is she talking about?”

Bane looked at the droid and said “who knows...but I’ll take it for now if it helps Serena. She looks bad...what did your scans of her tell you?” He looked over at Serena worried. “She hasn’t been sleeping well for a few weeks...something is going on with her”

Serena nodded weakly and closed her eyes, trying to breath as her head got fuzzy. She reached out and held his hand, shaking badly. “Don’t...over do it...” she coughed, flinching.

Bane moved to the fox and set down the water for him and looked over at the droid.

Bane nodded and said “I’ll start tearing. VT there was a creek behind the cave. I can start a fire to boil the water” he moved over and started to work on a fire by the opening of the cave.

Serena flinched as he laid her down and opened her eyes that were dull now. “Torak...it’s really warm in here...you should...make sure the...the...” she shuttered and shook. She blinked hard and muttered “brother would be...mad I let...myself get...this bad...I think I busted my shoulder...and my ribs hurt...”

Bane walked back over with a fire going and his shirt turned into bandages and said “I have my jacket we can put under her head...I can’t rip it...VT? Do you have a survival kit with emergency blanket in it?”

Serena was panting as the ghost of his mate did what she needed to do, her vision blurring as she used her power to hold the spirit there. When she finished and vanished, Serena looked at the fox and smiled weakly. “Thank goodness...I understood...” she fell forward and he caught her, her body shaking as she tried to keep her eyes open.

Bane stared and muttered “she summoned his mate? But how did she...” he walked forward and said “she’s in bad shape, his right we need to find somewhere to camp out. VT? Stay with them while I...” he paused and looked a few yards away. “There. I see a cave. It must be a mind shaft...” he got up and ran over to clear it, knowing Serena would be okay with the fox.

Serena looked up at Torasuki and muttered weakly “she came...she knew you needed her...she is very pretty...she loves you...still...” she had a temperature starting to build.

Bane rubbed his head, blood dripping down his face and jumped on him again and pinned him down. “What is wrong with him!? He can’t hear us can he?” He flipped him over and saw the mark. “Crap...we need Serena. Now. She can break this trance...where is she?”

Serena nodded and took the blade from her and said “I take it to torak...I’ll help him I promise...” she took the blade and stumbled then took off running with the blade, her shadows helping her speed.

She found the boys and said “Bane get off...” Bane got up and Serena knelt down by the fox and held out the sword. “Your mate...” she grabbed his hand and made him hold the sword, the shadows wrapping around the pair and she tried to summon the ghost back, her strength fading fast.

Bane growled and his eyes glowed gold, pushing the foxs power off of him and muttered “don’t think your top dog because your an ass...just makes you sound like a baby more then anything else. And don’t talk about loss...we all lose things...and families and packs...”

Bane ran after the pair, Serena seeing the ghost and stopping. She limped towards her and said “your his mate...it’s the same sword...” she moved in front of the ghost and said “I can see you but I don’t speak your native tongue...but I can help him if you can tel me how...” she held out her hand to the ghost. She was getting worse as the bleeding was still going. But she didn’t care. A spirit needed her help.

Bane jumped and tackled the fox, pinning him down. “Snap out of it Toraksui! What’s gotten into you!”

Bane grabbed him and slammed him against the tree. “No, she’s been a guardian of the spirit realm since the gates were formed and she was doing great till the dirt bag in charge took someone dear to her and is holding them to make her work with them and not do it her way...like breaking you out without a problem she she wants to. Or find new gate keepers the right way...or wiping the floor with the crap we are dealing with her way. No, she has to follow the same rules we all do because if she doesn’t...the only family she has left will suffer. So shut up, leave her alone and just keep all negative comments to yourself...she has enough on her plate without your jerk comments”

Serena looked at him and said “Bsne wasn’t there for that and neither was I...he has no right to rag on bane who has been trying to make it better for him...or me when I really understand what he is going thru...” she got up and walked over and said “please just help me tie my arm better and stop the bleeding from my head...then we can keep going..” she was starting to look pale now.

But they heard a growl and a branch snap. She turned sharply and pulled her sword free, her eyes glowing silver as her shadows moved around them both defending. “VT...how close are we to the gate?”
