John sat down by Kay and cursed loudly as Chas finished. "Its worse then that. He won't be the only ones after her...heaven and hell will be on her tail to tip the scales...this is not good" He looked at Kay and added softly "It won't happen, love...I swear I won't let anyone get that far...but this means a few other things"

Serena nodded and said standing up "Means we need to help you train your skills. In case your alone you need to be able to fight them off. And if we get to the point, show all the forces out there your not one to mess with. It worked in the past, we can make it work now" She rubbed her neck and started to pace. John looked at Chas and gave him a question look. Then he said "And we need to figure out how Serena works into this...normally the vessels of gods aren't messed with...but someone is coming after you and killed your father as well. We need to figure out why"

Serena looked at him and said "Well...there is one thing I didn't explain. My father didn't die for sure...he vanished. But when I got his powers I figured he must have died right?" John groaned and said "Not exactly...it could be a number of things"

John nodded and got up, pulling out his phone. “Pizza sounds perfect, then we can figure out what on earth is going on...” he dialed his phone and walked away to order. Serena walked over carefully and said “sorry Kay...you got hurt because of me...” she leaned against the wall, holding her mug. John came back and said “two pizzas on the way...there was a deal. So what have we learn so for, my super friends”

Serena rubbed her eyes as she drank the tea in hand. “Well, crazy demons are after Kay and I for some nut case called the first...whatever that means...”

Serena nodded and let him help her up, her legs shaking as they headed back inside. When she sat down she leaned forward and held her head. “Sorry...it kinda just hit out of no where...but that’s how shock works I guess...” she rubbed her face as he came back with the tea and smirked. “Seems like John is rubbing off on you...are the others alright?” She took the cup, forcing her hands to stop shaking.

John moved a little so she could see Chas, stunned now by his own actions. Then he said “well now that the seal has been burned I think we will be alright now. I’ll double check the seals later to be sure...this one won’t right for Serena...very odd...”

Serena shook her head and muttered “pizza is fine...you don’t need to worry though. I can handle it...you should get back to your wife and child...be with them...it will mean a lot to your daughter then you know...” she was shaking as she turned them her legs buckled and she fell, landing on her knees. She was shaking as the shock hit her full on now.

John nodded and said “I got all the wounds I saw treated and cleaned...just be careful the next few hours and I think you’ll be alright...” he paused then moved his hand and rested it against her cheek. “Not goin lie...you had me pretty worried for a moment there...”

Serena waved her hand to have one of her shadows rush to the back and bring it back, putting it in her hands and she headed outside. She dropped the bag in the bin and stepped back next to Chas, looking pale. She nodded and said “all set...” when Chas set the bin ablaze she rubbed her temples and said “it was relaxing till the end...now I’m more tense then before...if I could drink I would right now...”

John smiled and got up and went to the first aid kit, grabbing a bottle and brought it back over. “Take three, that should dull it enough to keep. Your mark seems to help control your powers, we will need to find a way to protect it for the future. Does anything else hurt? That was lucky you heard her...what did you hear anyway?” He was rubbing her shoulder absentmindedly, his attention on her fully

Serena looked at him and nodded slowly. “Thank you Chas...you guys saved me again...I should have burned that bag as soon as we got back...” she got up and grabbed her clothes, not really minding him seeing her. She was a doctor as it was. She was soon dressed and rubbed her arms. “Okay...let’s go burn that bag so we stop getting ambushed...”

John stopped her and said “easy love, it’s alright. It’s your blood. I just finished stitching you up...you alright? Serena is with Chas now and she is fine so don’t worry...”

John nodded and said “I got Kay, just help Serena. Make sure she wasn’t down for too long...” he moved the towel and said “I can’t wait for Fee...” he picked her up and out of the room to the work room, laying her on the couch in there and finding the first aid kit Chas had gotten a while ago. He moved her so he could sew up the wounds, being careful as he said “Come on Kay...wake up so I know I’m doing this right...”

Serena held the towel as she leaned against Chas, breathing hard. “I was just washing my hair out when I couldn’t pull myself up...” she coughed again, her whole body shaking.
