Serena flinched and asked weakly “Chas…what is he doing?” They heard things falling over and one cursed word as Joh hit his head. Then he appeared and set down a scroll and opened it. “We are dealing with a Japanese demon…I know this one. Nasty buggers but we can fix this”

John laid the scroll in front of Serena and pulled a small blade from his pocket and cut his palm. He let blood drip onto the scroll and then said “Serena, we need to take your shirt off. That oil needs to go on the wound. Which my guess is on your back”

Serena sighed and tried to take it off but couldn’t on her own.

Serena shook her head weakly and said “don’t you dare Kay…your still drained from John…I’ll be fine…no one else is…” she flinched and lowered her head. Trish skipped over and sat by Kay and looked at her.

“It was black…and it had red eyes. It didn’t talk though…it kinda looked like in the Harry Potter movies with the bad guys transporting to other places?”

John looked over and said “wait, the smoky look?” Trish nodded and John smirked. “Nicely done kiddo” he took off for the study and yelled “Chas! I need the blessed oil and anything we have from Asia!”

John started to pace around and said “it could have been one of the demon clients who came just in time to see the mess we made…then wanted pay back…or…” he looked at Serena and saw how weak she was. “Or…Serena might have saved my neck from being taken over. It went thru her…” Trish nodded and said “the spirit got really mad, then blasted the beam above you both. It acted like it couldn’t do what it wanted to do…”

Serena held her head and muttered “demons can possess what already has a spirit within them…I have the bane already…” she rubbed her good arm and John walked over, checked her eyes. “She could have some kind of poisoning from coming in contact with the spirit…but without knowing exactly what kind attacked I can’t cure it…”

Serena smiled weakly and said “it’s alright…I’ll pull thru…just need to get back to work and…” she swayed on the chair, her vision blurring again.

Renamon smiled and said “thank you, my partner and I are looking into a problem with a virus. This type infects digimon and makes them go mad, much like the dark disks from the early years. But this one is much worse. We were hoping if you saw anything strange you could let us know? Your friends with my partner already. Her handle is ShadowWolfAlpha”

Amber was still scanning the room when a red dot showed up on her scanner and she cursed. “It’s in the building…but where…”

John smiled and nodded. “Of course love…I’m not going anywhere” when he turned to Chas he looked at Trish then he said “Trish…did you hear about it or see it?”

Trish tilted her head and said “I saw it last night when I was asleep. It was bad and both of you got really hurt. Ms Shade was thrown into that beam and it crashed down on her. She was trying to protect John with her shadows but it was too much. Then that thing went for John and Serena blocked it with herself. It went thru her.”

Serena stared, going whiter then she already was. She didn’t tell the others about that yet. She had only remembered it happening this morning. John looked at Serena and raised an eyebrow. Serena looked down and said weakly “it happened in the warehouse…I was trying to move John and it was a black fog or something. It was aiming for John and it took the hit…”

John looked at Chas “did they check her back for wounds or burns?” Serena was shaking against josh, the shock getting to her worse.

John frowned and looked down at his wrist and muttered “that’s new…i wonder why it formed to me…” he looked back at Kay and said “as long as your feeling better that’s what matters. We will worry about other stuff later”

Serena pointed to the stairs and said “up there…but really I’m alright now…” Trish appeared and frowned. “Ms Shade your not alright. You took on that monster…and I heard you were in a fire yesterday”

John looked over and raised an eyebrow. “Chas…did you say anything to them about that?” He was wondering if the siblings had magic skills of their own.

John looked at Chas and saw his look. “Whats with the look? She’s a smart kid. She took on a fear eater. I love smart kids, not dumb ones or bullies…” he moved when he heard Kay and moved next to her and took her hand. “Right here love…we made it home. How are you feeling?”

Serena shook her head and said “I’m alright really…you don’t need to worry over me. Just set me in the study so I can figure out why a water was after you and Trish…” she smiled at him, her vision blurring around the edges.

John smirked and laid Kay on the couch and kissed her head. Then he said “Trish? Take a look around but don’t touch anything unless you check okay? Got some odd stuff in here”

Trish popped her head in and said “okay John! Your house is so cool!” She ran up the stairs to look around. John smiled softly, forgetting how much he missed hearing kids around.

Serena leaned on him, her whole body shaking. She was favoring her bad arm and she looked worn out. “Thanks Josh…” she smiled weakly as they walked inside. John looked over and said “Serena? You okay?” Serena smiled and nodded, lying thru her teeth and somehow Josh knew it. Something told him how bad she really was. If they hadn’t had to get out, there was no way a doctor would have cleared her.
