Serena nodded softly, not moving away from him now. “I guess we will have to wait and see what fate brings right?” She smiled softly, leaning into his hand again like before. She hadn’t felt like this in so long. And she felt she was ready to move on.

Bane nodded and said “if he still has his mind…we can go check it out” he rubbed his neck as they started to walk to the holding cells. “Think anyone else knows?”

Serena sighed and looked at Samuel. “Sam…I can’t just sit back…I am a keeper…with dad gone and brother locked up it’s up to me…” she rubbed her face again, feeling dizzy again as her head swam. She couldn’t see stared as she blinked hard. “Sam…I don’t…feel right…”

Dante looked around then sniffed the air. “Ah, back room. I have their scent now”

Bane cursed and rubbed his head. “It explains a few things…him vanishing like he did…Serena couldn’t understand how he was caught…he wasn’t. He knows Vos. He must have come for help…she can’t find out VT. She can’t”

Serena looked at him and said weakly “Samuel…I am a gate keeper…I have to do my job…” she pulled her bag on her shoulder and moved to go a different door but a wave hit her again and she stumbled, the room spinning. “I can’t stop…I have to…”

Dante kept his arm around her and his eyes told anyone near them to stay away. “Where to next my dear?”

Bane frowned then he said “his not okay is he? The raven of the Night Gate isn’t just in a holding cell sitting there. Just nod if I’m close”

Serena looked at Samuel and muttered “Tomoi is the raven of the Night gate…like I’m the wolf of the night gate…Samuel…something is very very wrong…” she moved away, grabbing her gear with her shaking hands. “I have to go to the gate. I have to figure out what is going on…then come back and find Tomoi…” she wasn’t in any shape to do anything, but she was stubborn.

Dante lead her to the club and opened the doors for her, the same smile on her lips.

Bane raised an eyebrow and said “VT…what are you not tell me? Do you know something about Tomoi that we don’t know?”

Serena shook her head, the room spinning more and said “it almost feels like I’m losing something…a part of me is fading…but I don’t know what…” she swayed and suddenly a image hit her out of no where. A huge demon looking raven attacking a gate, shattering the seals. Serena went deathly white and muttered “what…was…”

Dante held up his hands and said “better then having to go find one. Faster is better yes?”

Splinters

Avery grinned back at him yelled “it’s fine! Just hold on tight already. We are going to ride this next wave put of this mess!” She turned the wheel hard and the ship turned, the next wave pushing them into the center of the storm and into the clear. The eye of the storm was always calm. Now she needed the clear shot too out of the storm and they were finally safe.

After a few minutes she said “I need to stay and make sure we stay in the middle…till I see a clear shot to get us all the way out…” it was still raining on them, and she was soaked. But she kept her grip even though she couldn’t feel her limps anymore. She was pale and skin rashed.

Bane frowned and folded his arms. “What if we asked to use the comm system? We just need to talk to him, not be face to face? Would that break protocol?”

Serena nodded and muttered “have been for days…since that last gate blew. I think something else must have happened when that did…something I’m not seeing yet…” she swayed a little and held her hand out to balance herself. “It’s got to be Tomoi…something must be happening to brother…it’s the only thing I can think of…unless My mana is being stripped somehow…”

Dante paused and stopped her. He looked her up and down then snapped his fingers. A deep red dress appeared and he smiled. “There. All set my dear captain”

Serena smiled as he messed with her hair and said “I won’t let them chain you up, Samuel…that I can promise. Now, I guess I can check the scanners and see if the Night Gate is leaking…” she turned to walk away but stopped, getting dizzy and light headed. She paused and held her face, not liking this. “Something is wrong…”

Bane held up a hand and said “there is someone we can ask. Serena’s brother is here somewhere. Maybe we can find him and ask. Better then you breaking rules again”

Dante put his arm around her and said “I’ll be with the whole time…I scary people easily” he smirked

Trish nodded and curled back up, closing her eyes and falling asleep faster then a cat in the sun.

Serena was bright red now and didn’t move as she said “well…she does have foresight…maybe she saw something we haven’t seen yet…”

Serena sighed snd rubbed her face. “You make a good point…and I’m working with them till I can find him…and to help the others that are here against their wills. Torok as one…the captain doesn’t like how she has to do things. I want to see if I can fix this whole mess…” she looked up at him and smiled weakly. “I am glad to see your alright…but maybe I should double check the seals. The last mission I went on the seals split apart on a gate they thought was secure…” she rubbed her eyes again, looking like a worn out warrior.

Bane nodded and said “I didn’t know they knew each other…maybe we should look into why they know each other…”

Dante nodded and got up, rolling his neck. “I am. Shall we go hunting?”
