Bane walked over and knelt down to the fox. “Hey easy buddy. What’s the matter? Do you want Serena?”

Serena curled up on the bed, shaking and slowly healing but it was a short term fix.

Dante looked at her and said “would you rather I handle it my captain?”

Dante smirked as he watched then waved his hand to the others in the room and they burst in the bright red demonic flames. His eyes glowed as they turned to ash and he said “there…the rats are wiped out my captain…”

Serena flinched then passed out again, her breathing labored. Her shadows gathered around in worry.

Bane looked at him as they heard laughing. “Sounds like a mess…Serena will pick her mate. She is stubborn but a goddess…please don’t tell her you spoke with me…I don’t want her to know my condition…”

Bane frowned as Tomoi coughed weakly and saiz “I’m sorry…I don’t more about him…father never told me more. I’m guessing Serena knows more about him then she is saying…the pact has some strange affects. I think with how old she was when she made it…he would die for her…you could call it a kind of love. A bad side? I don’t know what he would do to keep her at his side…”

When the cores met she cried out in pain; the different energy having a different reaction but it calmed quickly. She fought to open her eyes, but she needed to rest. Even by force.

Dante was right behind her and his red magic wrapped around her protectively. “Sorry…no one touches my captain…”

They heard a chuckle and said “you don’t need to worry…my sister saved him. He was locked up in an old castle years ago. Her and my father were looking for a nasty spirit and my father found him. Sam went to attack and my father beat him down…about to finish him off when Serena stopped him. She wanted to spare Samuel…she put herself on the line by making a packed with him. He is bond to her. She was ten at the time. Since then he has served her. I guess even shutting the gate and blocking the link didn’t stop him…” bane looked at VT and said “a pack like that…still doesn’t sound good”

Serena was out like a light, her energy almost totally gone. She was so unbalanced it was getting worse for her magic core. She needed to fix it before she lost her control, a threat more likely now that her brother was losing himself.

Dante pulled her hand up and said “last door on the left…I sense blood and lust. A demons feast”

Bane watched the screen as they waited for an answer. Then a weak voice said “I haven’t…had visitors in a time…what can I…do for you?”

Serena stumbled again as the room went on its side. She sighed and muttered “saving Toro…took more out of me…then I thought…I can’t…I’m sorry…” she suddenly fell forward, her body shutting down.

Dante winked at the guy and muttered “no worries mate. It’s all dealt with”

Serena smiled in the kiss and moved into him, pulling him with her so she could lean against the counter and not have to support them both a she kissed him back more.

Serena closed her eyes as he kissed her back, leaning into him as he moved her hands to his neck and wrapping her arms around his neck. She kissed back, pulling him to her.

Serena looked at him, not moving away. She looked into his eyes, her eyes shining brightly. “The fates always find a way to make the world spin…” she moved her hand to his chest, not looking like she was going to run.
