Bane cursed and asked softly “is he awake? Can I sit with him?”

Dante nodded and said “I’ll see what more I can learn…if I can get his file…I’ll get it to you” then he looked over at fighting pair and sighed “Ego fight…”

Serena looked at Maya and smiled softly. Then she said “I was just going to ask if there was a way to help me recharge? You stopped the infection of my core so I just need a little energy boost to help recover the rest of my power?” She looked at Maya and mouthed thank you when the boys weren’t looking.

Bane cursed softly and ran his hand thru his hair. “What the heck I happened…was he hit before and just didn’t notice?”

Dante sat up slowly and tilted his head at her. “Really? What could do this to those related to gate keepers?”

Serena flinched at their words and she looked down. She hated feeling like this. She pulled the ivs out and moved to get up. “The doctors can’t help…I’m just taking up a bed…” she felt they were angry with her.

Bane frowned and walked forward and asked “wait, he was barely hit. What else is wrong with him?”

Dante gasped and said softly so the others didn’t hear “Serena’s brother…I may need your help with a little mystery…what could affect a magic core?”

Serena shook her head and tried to move. “His my brother…if his suffering like this…I have to help him Torak…” she looked at Samuel and said “please…”

Dante flinched and closed his eyes. “Oh don’t be mean…your just on edge…did you meet bane yet? His a nice guy isn’t he?”

Serena wiped her eyes and said “I need to see him…his in danger…”

Bane frowned and muttered “that makes it sound like he was attacked…something did this to him. What could it be?”

Serena gasped as she felt the block and opened her eyes. There were tears in her eyes. “It Tomeo isn’t it…his side of the link is causing this isn’t it”

Dante smiled weakly and said “I…never forget…fire girl…” he was pale and shaking.

Bane cursed and rubbed his face. “It’s starting to affect Serena. Are they linked somehow? How did he get infected in the first place? I didn’t think he was even around the gate enough”

Dante hissed as she ripped it out. “I was fighting a horde…must have been hit…” he swayed a little and his vision blurred. “And…Maya, wash your hands…because I think that thing was poisoned…tipped…” he swayed and fell forward.

Serena closed her eyes and let him in. The link was slowly becoming infected from her brothers side. And it was reaching for her core slowly. The link was being corrupted.

Bane shook his head and said “no…we were trying to figure out Samuel and I had the idea to talk to her brother to learn more. He had a odd way of answering so…I figured out his not doing well. Vos, what’s going on with him?”

Serena smiled at Samuel then flinched again. She shook her head and said “it’s getting worse…something is really wrong…” Dante walked closer and said “Serena? What’s going on?” He moved again and they all saw a huge talon in his upper back.

Bane stumbled back and watched her walk away. “Why did she just do that? Why fix me up” he followed them inside and said “Vos, we need to talk about Serena’s brother”

Serena sat up and said “it’s a pleasure to meet you, Maya. Samuel is my second…wherever he went” she flinched again and held her chest. Dante flinched a little as his head swam. He was only partly a demon.

Bane waved her off and said “I’m fine…my god side doesn’t do with magic flames…I’ll be fine…I think…” he looked at Maya and said “I get it. I really do…it’s messed up…” he walked towards her and held his hands out. “But…we just have to work things out…have to try right?” He was shaking badly now.

Dante limped in and smiled. “Oh good…your both alright. I’m glad…I saw Maya outside. She’s still a wild one I see…” Serena sat up snd said “Dante? Are you alright?” Dante smiled weakly and said “of course? I’m just fine…bleeding but fine”

Dante nodded and said “thank you…” he limped out and headed to the med bag to check on Serena. He wanted to make sure his story was still on track.

Bane stepped forward and said “she can’t. They have a hold on everyone here. Then only one here they don’t have a way to control magically is Lady Serena. It will take time…trust me, when the way appears to get everyone freed I will take it” he flinched again and closed his eyes a moment.

Serena sighed and leaned back again. Then she said “Torak…my brother isn’t okay is he?”
