Serena smiled and nodded as they walked. “Yes I’m alright. The fresh air helps a bit. Now this is a lovely area. Look” she pointed to the huge trees and she said “a nice morning walk…or you find a tree to make out against. That’s what Kay or John would say right now”

Trish nodded and got up. “Chas we can go get breakfast cleaned up and set aside for Josh and Serena?”

John didn’t look up, ready to hear the words coming. He wasn’t worthy. He was waiting for her to tell him she was leaving and never thought he should be a father.

Bane nodded and said “then let’s head out. I’ll hit the office and see what files I can grab before they get everything tight again” he vanished as Dante helped Matias to the doors.

Serena smiled and headed for the door, patted Trish’s head they walked out the door. She looked around and said “Chas said it’s this way. Luckily I’ll be able to feel it as soon as we are standing over it”

John closed his eyes and said “or she’s scared of having a kid with me…I mean. Look at me. I don’t look like a role model…” he rubbed his face, his hands shaking as his chest was killing with the pain of the wounds healing.

In a dark part of town, a bar sits almost empty on a late evening. The Broken Halo. A man sat at the bar, reading over files on the bar top and humming to himself. This was Bane Clawson. He was huge and clearly seen combat. He was handsome apart from a scar across his left eye.

Serving as bartender was a striking red head with curves men die for and bright green eyes. She was humming with Bane as she was cleaning the glasses. Scarlet O’Hara. They were waiting for the rest of their cause to arrive, including the mystery boss that no one had seen.

Bane glanced up at the clock and frowned. “They are running late…”

Bane nodded and moved to help get her out of the room. “Do you want me to carry her?” Dante was limping on his bad leg as he looked around. “You don’t think our bug friend was here during this?”

Midnight was out cold in his arms, looking like a damsel in distress. Not the creature she was starting to show she was.

Serena looked over the maps then nodded. She looked at Josh and smiled. “Want to go on a magic date?” Trish giggled a little and said “it’s only a date if he he holds your hand.”

John was sitting on the couch, his hands shaking as he was fighting to get control again. He muttered “I’m not worth to be the father of child…especially Kay’s perfect daughter…”

Serena frowned and thought for a moment. “I think I might be able too…but I don’t think I should do it here. Josh can come with me while I find a lay line to channel thru. This way John and Kay get some peace as well…”

Serena nodded as John said “I won’t go after her..,as long as I know she’s safe that’s all that matters…” Serena folded her arms and said “so, what do we do now? Wait for the next move or go face it head on?”

Serena got up and said “go to the den. It’s quiet and out of the way so you can get some real peace. I’ll handle John…” she went back into the room to see John leaning on Chas. “John relax. Kay isn’t running away or leaving you. She just needs a little time so don’t bug her”

John looked at Serena and finally nodded weakly. “Alright alright…”
