Serena sat down as the room started to glow with the alarms and she said “crap…” Trish blinked at Drake and Fia and asked “what did I miss?”

John groaned when the alarms went off and slowly sat up holding his head. He looked at Chas and saw him bloody and that woke him up. “Mate what happens to you? What’s going on?”

Serena leaned on Josh and said “I think I’m in shock. Our kid is right there and I’m calm with that. I think it will hit later…”

When the portal opened Drake ran over and took Serena’s other side and frowned. “Fia she is still shaking. I think she might be more injuried then we thought” they walked thru the portal to find the living room and a staring Trish standing there. She was holding one of Johns fire pokers and said “what the heck…”

Just as the portal closed the alarms went off and Serena said “crap…not again…I don’t want to be flung to the wall again “

Serena was panting as her leg healed, still looking winded and flinching. Drake hugged her back then moved to Serena to make sure she was okay. “It’s going to be alright. Your safe now. Those guys were after you mom…” he glanced back at josh and waved again.

Serena smiled weakly and looked at Chas. “We need to get back to the mill house. And you two are coming with us” she looked at the kids with a stern look in her eyes. “I don’t care what you think, if it’s about Kay, I need all the information we can get. I won’t lose her…or John” she tried to get up, her leg healed but her body still sore from the crash. More then likely more damage was done in the crash, blood dripping from her face.

Drake smiled and held out his hands. “My name is Drake. Hold on tight?” He took their hands and shadows wrapped around them just as the goons rounded the corner.

Serena sat down and closed her eyes in pain. “I had to make the break nasty…it’s going to hurt no matter what happens…” she looked up at her and said “what’s going on? Why are you and my son here?”

The shadows moved up and Drake appeared with Josh and Chas. “Found them, partner. Okay but shook up.”

The shadows moved behind Chas Drake appeared and said “hey guys” he smiled and said “don’t go back to the car. My partner has Serena. She’s hurt but we need to go to her now. I can take you there…oh and hi dad” he waved at Josh”

Serena leaned on Fia, fighting to stay awake. “Your are totally John and Kay’s daughter…they will be proud…” she flinched as they took to the air and she cursed. “I could use Banes healing right now…”

Drake nodded and pulled his hood over his head and ran off to find Chas and josh. But glancing back he saw the goons still trying to get to the girls and he growled. But he knew Fia could handle anything as well as his mother. So he vanished and used the shaodws to travel unseen. He ended up a few blocks down and saw Chas and Josh in an alleyway, hiding and waiting for a moment to go back for Serena. He moved near them to listen to what they were saying first.

Serena hissed as moving bumped her leg. She looked up at Fia and said “you need to get out of here…it’s not safe…I’m not worth the trouble…” she was barely awake now, shock setting in.

Serena was barely getting her leg out when she felt arms wrap around her. She turned her head as her head swam from pain and blood loss. She looked up at Fie and said weakly “Johns hooded savior…must be annoying to keep saving us…”

She then saw Drake on her other side and stared. It was joshs face with her eyes and hair. She blinked and said “I must be seeing things…”

Drake looked at Fie as they pulled her from the car and saw her leg was a bloody mess. “She’s bad…if I remember right Chas and Dad took off on foot. We need to get her help now”

Drake nodded and his eyes glowed silver. “Alright let’s go my dark friends” shaodws wrapped around the pair and they vanished. They reappeared down the block from the crash. Drake and saw his mother pinned in the car. “fia…whoa…look at her. She’s hurt and still fighting…just like dad said she was…”

Serena moved and glared at the men. “Fine…you want your blood on the ground then that’s what you’ll get” she waved her hand and the wolves jumped them, not just puppets but solid beings. She took that moment to think fast the fastest and most painful way to get unpinned. She moved her hand and closed her eyes. “This is going to suck” then she broke her leg right above the pinned section. She cried out and pulled her leg free then tried to pull herself free on her own while the wolves distracted the goons.

Drake watched with Fia and they both heard the crack. He gasped and said “don’t tell me she just broke her own leg?”

Serena smirked and her eyes glowed. “You think I’m defenseless just cause I’m pinned? I’m sorry but your sadly mistaken…I just need to stall…” behind the men a shadow was forming and Soon a three shadow wolves food behind them, growling and barking. Serena wasn’t as weak as Bane made it sound. She looked at them and said “still worth your time or lives boys?”

Drake swallowed and said “Umm…I kinda was already spotted…I am in the room with your dad…his okay and out cold but…I scared your mom when I got in…I’m heading out right now just give me a sec. I don’t want to be rude” he hung up and smiled at Kay. “Pardon my hasty exit, but I need to go.” He stepped back and a shadow moved and wrapped around him, making him vanish.

Drake appeared outside the mill house and said “we need to go now. If they were hit, mom won’t be able to hold those shadow wolves for long.”

Serena watched them get away and smiled weakly. She looked at the guys now at the cab and said weakly “sorry boys…just little old me here…”

He went white and cursed softly, then moved to get his phone and read the message. He dialed and held it to his ear. “Fia, it’s Drake…your dad is fine but I wasn’t too late to get to mom. I fear they might have already hit the cab. We need to get there now”
