Bane nodded and said “whoever is fine. Just someone who knows the needs of the guild. Dante and Jeb shouldn’t be moving around too much. Wait what happened to that fang that helped me last night…I think it was Jacob?” Ash looked over and asked “what happened last night?”

Dante nodded and said “either a breathing soul or…a servant of the moon goddess…that’s my guesses for now” then he saw both their faces and said “alright what’s wrong?”

Ash was over half done with her plate, the eating speed showing that she had been more hungry than she thought. Bane smirked watching and turned to Chi. “So, if you and that other fang will go with Ash to her shop, I’ll see who I can take to my place to see if it will work for the guild to hide out in”

Ash looked over and said “Bane, that place is huge. It’s perfect for what they need” bane nodded and took a sip before answering “I know but I still want to make sure nothing is needed.”

Dante looked at her and knew she meant it. For once, he wasn’t looking to fight his prey. Just find it and figure out what they were dealing with. He rubbed his chest a little, the old wound on his chest aching as he thought about it. He said “Peter…in her dream, did she say anything about how she got away from it?”

Steve nodded and waved them to follow him to the war room and turned on the televisions and screens. The reports came up and he said “we’ve been dealing with this for a few weeks…”

Banner looked at her closely and said “in the last few minutes? She is careful not to touch things with her hands…she’s careful of skin contact…but not like rogue. It’s more subconsciously…what about you?”

Wolf murmured weakly as she leans on his shoulders, her head going in and out. “Sorry…about…this…wanted to…show you…who I was…not this…”

Steve raised an eyebrow and said “does this have to do with that giant rat from the other day?”

Banner looked at the other doctor clearly confused as Deadpool walked over and stood by Maddie. “So…what do you think? What do you want to start with? Talking? Some scans? Maybe blood should wait till your more comfortable…” Banner walked over and said “so what do we know about this young lady?”

Wolf was breathing hard and her skin was on fire. “I don’t…know…I don’t feel…so good…dad…” she fell into him, dead wait as her eyes closed.

Steve smiled and said “least I could do after missing out on what’s going on. I knew he was stressed but I didn’t know it had gotten this bad…” Bruce said “it’s alright. Tony will be fine. Now what is this rumor of a giant pigeon?”

Deadpool was humming as they walked and Banner looked over. “Sure I’m free. What’s going on?” He followed Strange and went to grab his lab cost but Deadpool suddenly whipped up and slipped it off the chair and threw it across the lab. “Hey! It’s warm in here!” Banner blinked in confusion then saw the girl and nodded “right…”

Wolf gasped and held her core. “This is not one I like…a heads up would have helped…but I don’t think she has any idea she can…do…” suddenly the shadows pulled back, her energy dropping as fast as it had come. She stumbled, her head spinning as she felt everything she had drain from her just like that.

Ash blinked and said “why would I do that? They sleep to recharge…turning them off is just unnecessary” bane laughed out loud and said “oh ash…Ash never turns them off. To her they are living beings…”

Dante rubbed his face and said “or worse…” he stood tall then and said “since I am on part duty till I recover fully I’ll see what I can learn about this creature…”

After a few minutes the door opened and Steve stepped out and smiled at them. “His out. Docs are still running tests to make sure his okay. But he passed out when I told him I would keep an eye on you both…”

Deadpool nodded fast and said “trust the insane ones. We have the best ideas” he turned and whistled. “Hey Strange! We have a sweet girl here who needs answers. Want to help? I probably shouldn’t touch the lab tech”

Wolf turned to him and thought for a few moments. “It feels like the shadows are in a whirlwind and I can’t get a hold of them. I can’t pull them in…I’ve only felt like this when I first got control of the key…able to control the shadows of a whole plain…”

Tony sighed as they left, feeling worse hen he did before. He lowered his head and covered his face with his hands. Then there were steps and tony felt a hand on his shoulder. “It’s okay Tony..she knows you love her so much…and that you’re human.” He looked up to see Cap sitting next to him, a smile on his face. “Sorry I’m late. But I’m here now.” He nodded to the doc to take Tony’s blood while he sat with him.

Bruce stood outside the room and smiled at Riza and Pepper. “Good to see you home Riza. How’s tony?”

Deadpool nodded and said “I get that. My heart races when I see white coats too. Sometimes triggers panic attacks. But what if we asked someone not in a lab coat? Who’s an expert in this kind of thing?” He looked around and waved at Strange who was at the end of the hallway. “We have a mage who is also a doctor. And somewhere around here we have a big green guy who is a smart guy who knows a lot about mutation and stuff like that. No lab coats. No tests without your permission. And I’ll stay with ya the whole time. How does that sound?”

Wolf cried out as she was taking out trees, her eyes glowing silver as she tried to work through where all this power had come from. She said loud enough that Logan could hear “when I kissed her head…I made skin contact…maybe her powers are contact based?” She threw a tree away from her, trying to work the problem. And burn the power out.

Tony sighed then said “okay…have the doc draw blood and run tests. Let’s make sure I’m just…sleep deprived.” He sighed and looked at pepper. “I haven’t been sleeping well. Not since Riza went missing…and since Strange told us she was coming home…I haven’t been trying to sleep. The nightmares were too much…I’m sorry”

Deadpool said “if you want to sit with him I’m sure that would be okay. Hold his hand? Just stay quiet to help his hearing…”

Once there Wolf was shaking worse and had to slip her jacket off and throw it. She cried out and her shadows wrapped around her and became a cloak of shadows around her, forming a tail and ears of the wolf on her. She panted and her shadows reacted by smashing a cliff face nearby. It was too much at once.

Tony grunted as the others caught him and moved him to the bed, cursing softly. “Pepper I’m okay…really it’s nothing…” he hadn’t told her he hadn’t been sleeping. He knew she would be mad.

Deadpool led her to the room which had a window into it. He nodded and said “his ears were overwhelmed by the magic of that portal. He should be okay though…”

Wolf gasped as they left and she grabbed her dad’s arm. “Ya…outside…good idea…I have to do something. Before I lose it”
