[@neurovoid] That article looks incredibly biased for one agenda. There are various articles that list differences in neural wiring and anatomy. Not to mention hormones from gender-specific organs

@Mae Sounds like a pretty cool idea, just so that the dead don't have too much downtime. Though the ability to influence the world around them or communication with the living could potentially be troublesome. Formulating some uber secret plan, only for someone's ghost to take a peek in my room and blabber it to the living doesn't sound too exciting. I would put some limits on what they would be able to do or say.
@Inertia since the longears were more elf-like in appearance, I figured making him a halfie made more sense since he doesnt really share such features.
Miselian and tempus both work to keep order in some way. So they'd probably get along. As for our mortal counterparts... floran and kanza are both kind of unsociable by the looks of it so I doubt they'd interact much xD he'd likely wonder about kanza's gender though :P since he is rather feminine.
@Mae I figured as much, but I also figured that I'd tell you the option is there, if it's needed ^^ I'm quite content playing either gender so neither decision would inconvenience me. Just keep it in mind in case the balance gets a little too skewed.

Floran is rather tall, standing at 6’2”. He has well-developed muscles and several scars on his body, both resulting from the great many battles he has been a part of. His hair is a dark brown color that goes well with his emerald green eyes. He usually keeps his beard short or stubby, since he does not really like it fully grown. Beard or not, Floran comes across as a young man in his prime.
Floran’s curse mark is shaped like a diamond and situated on his dominant arm (which is his right in this incarnation). Touching his mark feels strangely metallic, though it is not particularly different to his skin in any other way. However, as Floran uses his ability, his mark grows and seems to glow in either a white or purplish light, depending on the reasons behind the use of his abilities (Though he does not know himself why the color of the glow differs).
Floran usually wears leather armor to match his occupation. However, he does have more… diplomatic clothes to wear on the right occasions. Furthermore, he has a dark green cloak that he wears in the road or when hunting in forest areas.

Floran is a bit of a lone wolf at times, but he does enjoy social contact more than he usually lets on. He is the serious type, and usually not willing to deal with any nonsense. He is an optimist, and always tries to see the good in people. He has great wanderlust, and often goes out in search of new things.
Nevertheless, Floran’s heart is in the right place. He has a strong sense of justice, and is not easily swayed from his path. He has a strong urge to help anyone in need, sometimes even at his own expense or without a promised reward. Because of this, Floran is usually well-liked by the people around him.
On the other hand, he is rather set in his ways. On occasion, it can be hard to reason with him for that reason. And with his strong sense of justice, those can become some very heated discussions. He tends to be rather impulsive as well, not always thinking his actions through when he’s actually doing them.

Floran originally hails from the Longear tribe, where he was raised by his parents, one longear and one wolfrahg. He had no siblings. Since it was a custom for the tribe to learn the bow, so did Floran. It was discovered rather quickly that the young boy had a knack for combat. He ended up being trained in both the blade and the bow, and excelled in both. Since the boy was so well-versed in combat, his parents thought he would likely become a guard or soldier for the clan, but this was not exactly what Floran wanted.
Floran wanted to see more of the world he was in. And so he decided to leave the clan as he came of age. He wandered the lands as a mercenary, his main occupations being fighting monsters and bandits that terrorized the lands. During his work, he quickly found out that it wasn’t the money that truly drew him. He wanted to help the people. He might not be the most sociable of guys, but he still enjoyed them. As a result, there have been various instances where he helped out with little to no reward. It mattered little to Floran, as long as he was able to get by.
Through the years he has been with many of the clans, since every clan offers new sights to see. He is known as a very capable, and sometimes seems to do things that seem far beyond his cunning in the most dire of situations.
And now that spring comes around and clans gather, so goes Floran. In a place with that many people, there is bound to be interesting work to be found.

”He greeted me, a simple man His words of humility that saw an equal I thought to grovel, but I knew to stand His face unseen, but smiling he was
On request our blades clashed And bested I was in a trial of steel, but no boast escaped his lips Nay, his words were an accolade to me “Go forth, my friend. Your honor shall compel you forever more.” His hands an applause
And now that I am glorious, I bring you his name No day passes without memory of his glory His image I see vividly still And his words resound eternally
I welcome the day I die The day I shall meet him again To serve in battle until end times And no reward is pleasure greater For he is Miselian, the righteous.”

Descriptions of Miselian’s appearance vary. The only consistent thing is that he was always fully clad in armor along with a red cape, his face not shown to any of mankind. Even among gods there is little knowledge of his actual appearance. Those who do say they have seen him say he tends to keep to a humanoid appearance like his armor seems to suggest. He is rather tall, standing at about 6’1”.

The tale goes that the god known as Miselian came into creation during the first strife between gods. The concepts of honor and glory unknown, it was Miselian’s duty that the path of the righteous was walked even by his elder equals. Such was a concept with mixed receptions amongst gods, but nevertheless brought forth a sense of morality. And so he was a beacon and enforcer of the morality he had brought. A god that both aided and punished gods at the same time depending on their actions. It is yet unknown what exactly brought him into being, and some speculate that the god does not even realize his first moments were his conception. As if he believes he had been there all along. Maybe he was right? Or maybe the god’s mind was ailed by delirium. Who could say for sure?
Among gods, Miselian was known as a bit of a lone wolf. He simply served his own cause, which in itself was often enough for gods to follow his example. Because despite his lonely nature, Miselian was a helpful god. He gladly aided any deity of whom he felt their cause was just. And it was no secret that even among gods, his power was formidable. Of this power he said that it was the product of the right and of hard work. And to some gods, this was an inspiring and refreshing sight.
Miselian had a strange fascination for mortals. In them he saw something that he didn’t in gods. In some of them he found the aspiration to achieve, to fight for a cause beyond themselves and the willingness to do great deeds for their fellows. Such a stark difference to most contempt gods was something that Miselian respected, and why Miselian often roamed the mortal realms in search of mortals who met his standards of greatness. These were the heroes he blessed. There are many tales that detail the appearance of Miselian to such heroes. His fondness for combat is well-known, and every hero he has met he defeated in a friendly duel. Other tales describe that many of the legendary weapons around the world originate from his arsenal, and are left by him for worthy heroes to aid their quests.
His fascination for the heroic mortals even extended to the afterlife. He received them happily in the afterlife in his own halls, where heroes could drink, feast and spar until their heart’s content. Because the god is bound to wander, the reception and upkeep is most often performed by his squires, so to speak. Minor deities that serve under him.
Amongst the dark gods, Miselian was known as a nuisance. After all, how would a god such as he approve of such a vile plan? The god was no starkissed, at least not as far as he knew, but he was no ally of them. And so he was amongst the first to be tricked, ensuring his interference in their plans was eliminated before they even truly began. Miselian, as he the curse took him, simply looked upon the dark gods in disappointment. Clearly his words had never reached them.
Yet, to be born in the world of mortals that he had wandered so much. Miselian felt a strange urge, a wonder to discover the land once again.

Life Force: 15/15
Heroism What is a hero if not someone fighting for a cause greater than himself? Miselian graces those who do, and strikes fear in those who don’t.
Surge of strength (2): Floran can call on a little extra from within when it counts. This power grants him just that little extra strength or stamina when he needs it to pull through a dangerous situation or quickly recover from a disadvantageous bodily or mental state Deter my enemies!(3): Floran can attempt to instill fear into anyone with a simple stare. This ability can work on someone as simple as a merchant trying to inflate prices to a humongous monster standing between him and a damsel in distress. How fearful the target can get depends on the opposition. Some may simply become dismayed, others may piss their pants and run away or feel compelled to do as Floran says. Soul of a hero(4): Floran can impart the fundamentals of a hero into anyone, as long as they have a noble cause to fight for. This blessing fuels the blessed person with courage and enhances their physical abilities. This blessing lasts until they either completed their cause or until they give up, or up to a certain time.
The power of the wise True warriors are not driven by bloodlust. True warriors fight with honor, courage and wisdom. Such is Miselian’s wisdom, and it grants him many advantages over the mindless.
Second wind (8): To keep strong in the heat of battle is the mark of a warrior worth of respect. Floran can heal injuries and replenish stamina on his person within a second, even in the heat of battle. This ability can be used on others, but this takes more time. Some injuries may be too severe to heal completely, in which case this ability may still provide enough healing to reduce its severity. Stand together (8): Floran can call for aid from the realms beyond. He can call upon the spirits from heroes long gone to aid him, which can take a corporeal form temporarily. (Calls two at most at any time) Similarly, he can call upon the aid of the celestials, which can take the form of an incredible beast to mount. (Along the lines of creatures such as a Pegasus and other fictional beast mounts that may or may not exist in this world. Same maximum as above.) Stand with us! (7):The presence of Miselian is inspiring to all. Using this ability, Floran invokes that presence to raise morale of allies and to compel any neutral party into joining his cause. Although enemies are not convinced that easily, the presence gives them a feeling of unease that belongs to the ‘wrong’ side of a conflict.
Legendary might Another battle, another hero, another legend to be sung. Miselian’s name and tales of his power resound in the songs of every great hero. A force of the battlefield that even the greatest heroes bow down to.
Divine strength (10): Floran gains physical strength, speed and durability far beyond human limits for a period of time. exalted armaments (12): Floran summons and dons magical armor and weapons from the god’s arsenal. The armor is highly resistant to both physical and magical effects. The weapons he can summon are various, and he can wield them proficiently even without any prior training. The weapons are extremely durable and capable of cutting through metal. Any of these armaments can be made to disappear or summoned back into his hands at any time while the ability is active. The sacred army (death): Floran summons Miselian’s sacred army. An army made from heroic spirits of in the afterlife and minor deities and magical creatures of war under Miselian’s command, such as valkyries(and potentially other similar deities). The army fights alongside Floran, who will be fully equiped in his sacred armaments, and continue until the battle is over. Even after the battle, and thus Floran’s death, warriors from the army can descend to fight and protect the cause the army was sent to fight for, but only if the tale of the battle and the cause is remembered in the hearts of men.

Being part Wolfrahg, it was one of the first places Floran went after becoming a mercenary. Besides delivering good work, he also got quite friendly with the clan. In particular, he got along very well with their future chieftain. Floran happily spends some time with his friend whenever he goes to the clan for work.

Floran was eighteen when he worked for a merchant that paid good coin for an escort to the Roamwyn’s city. And arrived there the eord that a young girl hadn’t been seen for a few hours now. Floran decided to check it out, and found the ten year old Ophelia lost a few hours later. Ever since then, the traveller always comes by to check up on her every time he is near her home and share stories with her. @Framing A Moose I'd argue the concepts of lies and truth fit both life and death very poorly. Death is the great unknown that every person will certainly experience. We can only speculate about its implications and meaning, but that is all there is. The only truth about death is its certainty, and all else is speculation. Is death painfull? Of course it is for the living left behind, but does that make death painful or the loss of the living? Death isn't painfull, or at least not confirmed, but loss is.
Life, what is true or false about life? Life is a physical object having biological processes at its very base. Anything else, how we live life and perceive life, is simply what we make of it. This perception may be true or false, but ultimately every perception is speculative. Does life have a meaning? Is life beautiful? It is only so to those who perceive it to be like that. As such, the truth of falsehood of life doesn't really exist. What only exists are truths of falsehoods about our perceptions of life.
I personally perceive the quote as the beautiful lie being the joy of living, while deluding oneself that the horribles in life do not exist. Death is a tragic, inevitable thing that causes grief in the living left behind. Thus, I perceive the painful truth as the loss experienced by the living that impairs their joy.
@Mae That's basically what I imagined it to be. I'll see how much I mess with the mortal incarnations when I get to that ^^ I quite like to change things up a little at times as well. So it'll likely largely depend on my mood/time available at time of inevitable death how much the mortal form will change. xD
I like the "Inheritance" mechanic, so to speak. Indeed an interesting way to go about progression.
@Mae The sheet looks interesting, and I will do my best to think up something. I'll likely write something up around Monday/tuesday as those are usually my days off at this point in time.
There are a few things I'd like to ask for clarification:
If a character dies and is reborn, will he be reborn with a different appearance/name/traits and the like? Simply put: How much of a new CS will one have to make when one incarnation dies? Will you have a write up an entirely new mortal shell? I understand that, naturally, the god aspects, soulmate and powers would stay the same. Also, will memories of their immortal life that they have regained during one lifetime persist into a new incarnation or something?
