I'd think a professional would be a better place to voice your problems and vent for positive reactions, rather than the status bar of an RP forum. But that's just me.

[@neurovoid] That article looks incredibly biased for one agenda. There are various articles that list differences in neural wiring and anatomy. Not to mention hormones from gender-specific organs

@BrokenPromise Here's my character, you'll receive the questionnaire in a minute.

Aewin totally forced me into showing interest. So here I am.
I find it ironic that you're playing a female scientist whose name is Olivia, because one of the people who was planning on joining this role-play but pulled out during the interest check phase had actually sent their CS to me over PM and their character was also a female scientist named Olivia.

*totally not a secret plot point*

Location: A cafรฉ somewhere in central Paris

The French coffee was just like she remembered it to be: extraordinarily bland. It had been that way in every cafรฉ she had visited. Sometimes it seemed as if the only drink the French could make was a glass of wine. Alas, she couldnโ€™t drinking wine all day, no matter how much sheโ€™d like to. Thus, coffee would have to serve as a very poor alternative. This was her last and only day in the city itself, anyway. She hoped her destination had consumptions ofโ€ฆ a better quality than what she was served here. It would be a crying shame if the illustrious Lucifer Van Bonaparte did not even know what a good cup of coffee was.

She looked over her invitation once more, then sighed. โ€œA lie.โ€ She muttered. โ€œHe must be lying.โ€ She could think of no other alternative. That didnโ€™t change that this entire letter was in incredibly bad taste. It was obvious that Bonaparte had access to a great amount of resources, but why invest those into looking into her? Truly, the information that was included in the letter surpassed something you could simply find with a simple internet search. But then again, surely Bonaparte wouldnโ€™t have trouble hiring a private investigator or two. But why would he? Was invading the privacy of others and inviting them to his gatherings the billionaireโ€™s idea of a good time? But what other explanation was there?

Nevertheless, there was no reason for her to not accept his offer. What did she get out of it? An all-inclusive trip to Paris and a chance to meet a mysterious celebrity and stay at his mansion for, if the letter was to be believed, a few months. All in all, that was still a very interesting proposal. Even if her ultimate wish was not going to be fulfilled, there was so much else she could get out of becoming a little buddy-buddy with good sir Bonaparte.

Olivia was a medical researcher, and a pretty good one at that. Nevertheless, a scientist never had enough funding. There was always more to research, more to uncover. It wasnโ€™t hard to see for Olivia why this meeting could end up extremely beneficial even if the part about their greatest wishes being fulfilled was an obvious lie. It wasnโ€™t hard to imagine that Bonaparte could be willing to do a little bit of Philanthropy and donate a few millions to curing some very rare and deadly diseases. That would make Oliviaโ€™s time spent in this city more than worthwhile.

Olivia leaned back into her chair and sighed. She shouldnโ€™t get her hopes up yet. If Bonaparte was the type to play pranks on people, she shouldnโ€™t expect too much. Her inner skeptic had been working overtime ever since she received that letter. She turned her head and looked out of the window that showed her central Parisโ€™ bustling streets.

Perhaps a break was in good order.

She quickly paid for the coffee and returned to the streets of Paris. She had no idea what was going to happen, and sitting around wondering was not going to change that. What she did know was that wasting the opportunity to entertain herself in Paris was a crying shame. Casting her doubts aside, it was time to bring a visit to the Champs Elysรฉes before heading towards that damned estate.
"T-t-t-t-there's a m-m-meeting spot! S-shouldn't w-we go to that?"

"... I guess so, lead the way."

Lucia proceeds to get herself and Conrad hopelessly lost. The RP follows their adventures in Paris while the rest of the cast is being murdered.

Or the murder game never took off, because the murderer was lost in Paris :D
@Shoryu Magami

My character will likely take it, as long as there is an indication it will really go to the estate.
@Shoryu Magami

I was likely not going to interact with either group. It would be a little too coincidental for everyone to meet up beforehand. If everyone already knows of each other's existance before even heading in, that might remove a bit of mystery I feel :)
@Snagglepuss89

Yeah, I imagine it is pretty weird for a lot of people when I say 'I'm Australian' and 'I don't like alcohol' in the same sentence.

I'll be checking out the addition to the IC now. I'll post unless @Melo wants an introduction first (Ailyn has a reason why she isn't posting yet).

I was going to write something up tonight. But don't wait for me if you want to move things along ^^ I could always just include it as a flashback bit of sorts
