I can activate it, I can't see anything though.

More so down the page, adding ranked to appropriate fights, and win/lossing what needs it.

Does this mean you're going to get another loss for forfeiting the vampire fight? ;d

You should have just left it on hold, I didn't mind either way.

This is actually the system I have been employing. I don't change any points until any given match is over.

So are you going to go through all the fights in the Ranking IC and sort them out?
Cool, its your setting so you can introduce Khan.

Ahem. Light has mass, as it is composed of photons. The gravitational warping of light by black holes is an example of how their mass is affected by a physical force.

As for everything else, that seems fine. I assume the life drain applies to the Field Emitter and Black Flame as well, meaning that those two don't deal physical or heat damage as well?

Photons don't have mass though? They just have momentum, which from a wikipedia refresher seems to be the reason for physical interaction.

What vital areas?(keeping in mind he's undead) He has no living arteries, the important one is his heart which is unprotected in the front (along with all those stomach organs).... then there's his head which is unprotected...his legs... I don't know, I don't see how it's a hyper upgrade of protection over full plate mail.

Whatever, I'm not being drawn back into this argument again over technicalities and special circumstances, just continue to complain about my character until we come to some sort of conclusion and can get on with things.
Are we using the specific custom clothing in the reference picture to make these assumptions then? When someone says cloak I think cloak, not custom cloak.

The simple difference is you can break someones bones from the force of a sword blow much easier with the coat. It's the equivalent of wearing a breastplate, if covers and protects the chest, or in this case, the back, not sure how it equals up to a full suit of armor, but OK.

I'd argue it's actually better, it's lighter, covers all the vital areas fine, and has none of the weak spots at the joints that conventional armour has.

Under your scheme, the only purpose a wager seems to serve is the possibility to lose it if you lose the fight. There's no upside that I can see. User3 wagers 333, wins, and just gets their wager back. They might as well wager 0, no?

I think a classic wager system would be cool where the winners have some claim on the losers' wagers. I'll see if my more mathematical friend can help me come up with the math when he has free time.

Either way, I'm done touching the core Arena system for now aside from various things like bugfixes, tweaks, and improving the UI. It's time for me to move on to other issues.

Well, as far as I can tell (and this is how the system works) User 3 actually receives 433 points in that example for winning, and the loser of that fight loses 333 points. That's a net gain of 333 points (the agreed wager) for the winner on top of the usual winning bonus of 100 points. The points are gained or lost at the end, the amount extra being gained or lost is decided upon before the fight but not deducted or added until the end of it.

On the flipside, I'm not sure how I feel about wagers in general anymore, as the leaderboard is supposed to be an award for skill, where-as one person could easily bet 500 points right now and lose and the winner of the fight would get a cool 1600 points, making them the new King of the Arena, I'm not sure that would necessarily be representative of their skill.
