Same as Tatsumi here, sorry! :[

But I will post soon.
I think Donny should turn his puns into a battle weapon. 70% of the time, the monsters will just commit suicide.

I see Sinthe fail his biology classes forever... how come he can put a spider on a head lock, if they don't have heads but a cephalothorax? Nevertheless, I would be really worried about getting this close to a giant spider because of their bristles, seriously, if they're as bad as the ones of a real tarantula, he'll have a hell of an itch later because of that.

A giant spider monster can become a real pain in the ass, but I don't want to give Windel any ideas. I wanna keep Macey alive D:
Macey watched on tentatively as the spider hushed two of it’s snakey heads, treating them like misbehaving children. Okay, so they clearly don’t share the same mind… that’s good. That’s very good. Life just got easier.

Just as she was wondering whether her plan would actually work in reality (after all, how many times one had to slay a giant spider snake daily?) Macey noticed Sinthe whiz straight past her, and right onto the monster. He had guts – Macey had to admit that.

“Oh you absolute... Genius! Sinthe, that’s actually a brilliant idea!... Is what I would be saying, if you had brought the torch with you.”
Macey uprooted the branch from the ground and hurled it towards Sinthe – from it’s higher vantage point, the orange flame seemed to glare even more angrily, illuminating the monster in its full glory.

“If there’s a giant fire blazing right on top of the spider blocking out the other heat signatures, those heat tracking snakes won’t have a clue where we are. We’ll just attack from the shadows and bring it down.”
Macey couldn’t quite bring herself to admit that actually lighting the spider on fire might work much more effectively – she still wanted to salvage its face. But what the fire had also done, was reveal the spider’s pattern of holes and dents along its back. Macey had no clue what they might be for, but she assumed it to be a weapon of some sort. These thoughts were quickly pushed to the back of her mind, as she sprinted up the miniature hills that arced on each side of the spider.

A few shots sniped a serpentine head through its skull, and another through its neck. The snake closer to Macey with the neck wound staggered for a moment, while the head shot stayed completely still, suspended in the air. “Shoot the snakes, Mrs Spider Queen won’t be able to stand. Or attack. Or defend. Easy hunt, we get paid, Leo recognises what an amazing hunter he’s left behind, and we’re one step closer to finding clues about this strange world.”

Oh - We're waiting for me? And here I was, waiting for the other hunters to post first : My bad!

(I can't remember how many ranged attackers we have, you see)
I dropped off the face of the earth because I do have a real life to handle. Work and family are a bit more important to me than a role play about cats.

And I have no idea where our Ashclan leader went either.

Of course, we can all relate to family issues, we all have them. It's just that you seem to be very active in your other RPs, that's all.
Sinthe and Macey just got pulled out of our regular Human world, see a hideous giant spider-snake monster, one thinks it's silly and the other thinks it looks cool. What part of the world do they come from where this isn't terrifying?

Working in the medical sector desensitises you to alot of life's... lifeness. Particularly so when you have an internal drive to pick apart everything in life down to its basic elements (in the name of science, of course).

Plus, Macey may or may not have kept a pet tarantula back home. Who knows? She can't remember a whole lot.

To be fair, they also don't have any memories of the past world, so they could totally just be like 'well, this is normal, I guess?' and move on with their lives.

And hey, bug fetishes are a thing.

Of course - which girl doesn't fantasise about being penetrated 8 times at once!

I really like Macey. Which is why I'll have no regrets for my next following posts.

This is terrifying.
@booksmusicanime To be truthfully honest, in an rp of this nature it's unreasonable to expect 2 paragraphs of writing each post. Personally, I don't care about the length as long as the quality is there. A one liner is better than posting nothing at all

And it's a little difficult moving forward when the people controlling the key cats seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth.
Oh… of course… I… have a… HOW IN THE SEVEN HELLS DID I FORGET TO BRING A TORCH WITH ME?

Macey was just about to find a way of rather tactfully asking whether any of the troupe just happened to conveniently know fire magic to make up for her idiocity, before Sinthe produced a rather well thought out torch making kit. And now that the hunters could see more than a few fox-leaps ahead of them, they could all get a good look at the absolute beauty in front of them.

Macey’s eyes glittered and danced with the fire light. Yes, she was far more captivated by the giant spider monster than a normal human should have been - in fact, Macey hadn't been brimming with this much enthusiasm at any other sight in this world; much less another human being. Sure, it might have been not such a pretty sight for the poor sod caught between its jaws, but still. The fox woman just saved a raggedy old dying man on the path behind – you win some, you lose some. A unique species like this, in the real world, would have scientists’ minds buzzing from the field all the way to journal publication back round to the…

“Ahem.” She coughed, reining her thoughts back to one place. “Nice to see no one’s just rushing in this time. In that hollow that the volcano’s made, Mrs Spider Queen doesn’t have a lot of space to move around in, so we should keep her there as long as possible during the first attack.” Unlike Sinthe, Macey seemed rather worried about the snake heads. Although they seemed rather occupied with holding up the gogolithic arachnoid mass at the moment, Macey knew that some breeds of snakes could detect infrared radiation, and large bodies of heat. Heat like fires. Macey frowned – and living bodies. So much for the element of surprise, she thought with a groan. Still, with any luck, those snake eyes would be pointing downwards for the most part. Or backwards. Or in any direction that wasn’t towards them.

“Well. I’ve got a gun” Macey said, drawing the shotgun out of the holster again. “And Jenniver has a crossbow. Anyone else with a ranged weapon, we can climb up the rock ledges on either side of Mrs Spider and just rain down fire and brimstone from above, and hope for the best. You know, assuming no one else has a better idea.”

"Also, if it isn't too much to ask - could we please save the face? The spider one that is. I mean, like don't crush it or anything, it looks like it'd make an awesome wall mount. It's just so pretty."
Macey internally groaned at Monkey Kid’s comment, although her face on the outside was completely deadpan. That was okay though – she’d murder him later.

With the birds, she kept that same air of indifference. Though they looked quite harrowing, Macey had a feeling that this wasn’t the target that the Mayor wanted the hunters to go after. Predicting that Sinthe and Akemi to rush in and deal with the bulk of the ravens (which they did, rather splendidly) Macey took the time to relax and try out her ranged weapon.

The first shot only managed to knock out the humanoid jaw from its hinge. The “bird” in question staggered for a few seconds, before carrying out its assault with its razor sharp claws. What kind of gun has this bad of an aim? Macey thought, taking two more shots to finally kill the stupid thing. One spiralled through its body, while the lethal blow took the head off completely. At least the shotgun was powerful, but with this kind of deviation, it seemed like a better fit for a close range weapon.

There was some benefits to hanging back from the fray, however. For one, seeing Akemi’s demonic fighting form for the first time was rather fascinating. And secondly, meeting that shadowy being for the second time that night gave Macey a strange sense of reassurance.

“It seems like our dark knight in shadowy armour has decided to follow us. Which works out perfectly – it means we waste less time and energy trying to track him down.”
Or her. Or it. “He’s the same guy we saw in the town square today” Macey said, addressing Jenniver. “If we have him as an ally, we have relatively little to fear. Let’s get going, before I end up starving as well.”
The Mayor will probably be some secret high powered warrior too, just like the priest D:
