I can't believe I've stuck myself with three girls for all of next year who think screaming, shrieking and making sex noises consists of banter. -_-

Bio

Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.

So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:

I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.

If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

  • Lord of the Rings Universe (Including The Hobbit)
  • Dragon Age series
  • Elder Scrolls
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • Star Trek (I'd love a Discovery one right now!)
  • Star Wars (Specifically the time around the Prequels; while I shan't get into the whole Prequel/Original war on which is better, roleplaying makes for more excitement in the prequel era. Clone Wars guys, c'mon!)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Fringe
  • Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)
  • Norse Mythology
  • Marvel
  • Left 4 Dead
  • The Walking Dead (Or any Post-Apocalypse Roleplay, really.)
  • 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series
  • House of Night Series
  • True Blood
  • Deus Ex
  • Blood Ties
  • The Vampire Diaries (I admittedly abandoned the show and books when the plot got too boring, but I still like the Universe. I'd join a roleplay based in it, if it had original characters, that is.)
  • Pacific Rim

Aaannndd I'll stop the list here before I go on forever. Basically there's a lot, particularly in the realm of fantasy. Hit me up if you want me in your roleplay, of if you'd like to do a 1x1 based around any of those areas, or even some additional ones if you think I'd be interested. I love original plots and Universes too, especially if they're done well.

There has always been worship.

In the earliest days of man, we revered the sun and it's awesome power of bringing both life and death; over time, the Sun would find itself personified with specific Deities - Gods, along with other things, both tangible and not. Life and Death; Sun and Moon; Water, Fire, Earth, Wind; War and Peace, Love and Conquest. Across the globe, across time and cultures, each society had their own names for these Deities - but some became more prominent in history than others.

As far as people in the 21st Century are concerned, this is because these civilisations were great. Egyptians, Greeks, the Vikings - they conquered, with great minds and greater power. We learned much from their teachings, from mathematics and sciences to the arts. But the people of ancient times and their religions had a far greater impact on our world than most will ever know. Their Gods were not just folktales written to explain the unknown.

They were real. Just as they are today - and they are not done with the Earth and her people just yet.

Greetings, ladies, gentlemen, and unidentifiable alien blob species! As you have no doubt gathered from the title and introduction post of this interest check, you will have gathered it will be centered around Gods, and their lovely bastard Demi-God children. Or perhaps not lovely - it all depends on you, after all.

First of all, I would like to impress upon everyone that this is not going to be your typical, Percy-Jackson-esque roleplay. Well will not be roleplaying only teenagers - in fact, I would be most appreciative in a range of ages. As of yet, I have a plot, and am building up a CS. Without giving too much away, here is what you can know solely for the interest check - naturally, I will be taking questions:

  • This is a high-casual Roleplay. I will not accept someone who cannot write something with basic correct grammar and spelling. Posting requirements won't be extremely stringent - more than one paragraph, once a week.
  • You will be playing as a Demi-God; either from Ancient Greece, Egypt, or or the Norse beliefs. I currently have a list of Gods from all faiths, but naturally it doesn't include every single one. Keeping in mind the various shenanigans and abilities of the Gods from the myths, you can pick any - from the three faiths - as long as they are pure-blooded, and regardless of sex, can be a mother or father to your character. After all, if Zeus can morph into a swan for amusing sex, I'm fairly sure he could turn into a woman as well. In addition to this, virginal or loyal Gods/Goddesses will not be a mother/father to your character. This includes Artemis, Athena, and Hera - there may be others that I am not aware of, so do some research on your God.
  • This roleplay is of a war between Gods - it will also take our characters around the world, in what seems like futile hopes of stopping said war, and subsequent end of the world. Said roleplay will begin in a mysterious manner - your character may or may not know that they are different to most other humans, but the prospect of Gods and powerful Godly blood flowing through their veins is not known. If powers manifest - and they will have powers; they wouldn't be much of a Demi-God without them, after all - perhaps they would come to the conclusion of Godliness if they chose to not ignore it or pin it down to coincidence; but there would be no proof, nor sudden appearance of said Godly parent.
  • UPDATE: There is currently no cap on children of a certain God/Goddess, but if I'm suddenly getting ten children of Zeus and 15 of Hecate, there will be a cap. Additionally, if too many children of a certain faith appear, that will be capped until more children of other faith's are filled up - however, there is no worry, as there isn't a limit on how many characters one may have.
  • ANOTHER UPDATE: Children of Titans, Giants, Spirits, Demons, or mythological beasts will not be accepted - Gods only please.

Without giving away too much about the plot - and no current CS - I hope this is enough to pique somebody's interest. As always, I will take queries before you invest anything.

Sounds fun. Better alert medical, because she's gonna get a lot of cuts and bruises lmao

@Ruby

And what of the weapons systems? Would the Security Officer and Tactical Officer convene in this area?
@Orlan@Gunther

As I recall from TNG, it was always the Chief of Security handling those matters - Tasha Yar, and then Worf?
Hello there! I was trailing through the advanced section and your roleplay caught my eye.I'm always a sucker for fantasy, especially one in which we can make the story our own. However, I believe you may have mis-categorised your roleplay - it doesn't appear to be advanced.
A collection of my characters, shitty, unused, or otherwise. Big ol' WIP, do excuse the lack of formatting.
Jessamine Oakwing

Location: Madam Fae's Bar & Diner
Interacting with: Peter Pan @smarty0114

If one knew Jessamine well enough, you could tell she was in a bad mood. There was less twinkle in her eyes, less bounce in her step - but that was easily masked when it came to dealing with folk. Especially the folk in her town, because dear lord, the last thing they needed was another person in a bad mood; no matter the circumstances. Was she tired due to that goddamn earthquake at an unholy hour? Yes. Was she somewhat concerned Hansel hadn't come home from the airport yet, nor even contacted her? Just a little bit. Was she going to complain about this to anyone?

Hell no. She had coffee to make.

"Morning, Peter." Were her first words of the day, to her first customer - turning around with her usual smile as the Pan boy entered her diner. Normally, she only opened this place up at 7:30, but people were on edge this morning, including herself. Bit of warm food, drink and atmosphere did people the world of good, or so they'd realise once they came on in. "I got calls from Lucy and Lancelot. Something's going down for them both to get all jumped up like this." She commented - although, it was fairly obvious. The disappearances around town were no secret. If Hansel were any other boy she'd be even more concerned, but chances are he was still driving, or was passed out at home. Even sleep-deprived, he'd put up a better fight than poor Dorothy ever could.

"How about I make you some breakfast? Emergency generator's up and running, so bacon is back on the menu." She offered up with a warm smile - The diner was one of the few places in town she saw Peter, so there must be something he liked about the place. Maybe it was just the bacon? If so, she could hardly blame him - it was pretty damn good bacon.

Hansel Grimm

Location: Home, then Lucy's Apartment
Interacting with: Lucy @McHaggis & Aravis @Morose

Hansel's morning was not going spectacularly well. First off, his plane had been delayed during landing because of storms over Seattle; then, when the plane landed, the passengers were shunted off and he received his bags to then leave (which in itself took another hour), an earthquake hit. More specifically, it hit while he was nearly halfway home, going down a winding forest road that wasn't particularly well lit - it was a bloody miracle he didn't drive straight into a tree as the world rocked around him. Thankfully, he refrained from any fatal crashes while pulling up slowly near a ditch; the only injuries to either himself or his battered old car was a branch shattering the driver's side window, littering the left side of his face and hand with glass and minuscule cuts.

"Well, that's just perfect. Aye, aye, Fairy Godmother is going to kill me." Were his main thoughts the rest of the way home to Mystvale, plastic bag haphazardly taped to the window to keep the rain out - he'd call someone out for it later. If he remembered, that was.

And by the time he finally arrived home, there was nothing much in Hansel's mind but to just crash in his bed and pass out - there was no sign of Jess, and he really didn't have the energy to go traipsing over to the diner to find her. Scratching Spot's ears very quickly, Hansel threw on a few band-aids to his hand and face before diving into his bed, one leg still stuck out and blankets barely covering him before he gave into sleep.

Two hours. That's all the damned rest he got before his phone rang - jerking him awake so suddenly he fell out of bed with a yelp. By the time he managed to untangle himself from his bedsheets, Lucy's message had gone to his voicemail, and he listened with bated breath until it had finished.

"Ah, дрисня." Cursing under his breath, Hansel made his way downstairs, throwing a clean sweatshirt on as he walked. There was still no sign of Jess ("Woman drinks too much coffee."), but he wasn't going to the diner - he wanted to see Lucy. Sure, Hansel had been planning on seeing her anyway, being friends and all that - but now, he just wanted to see if she was okay. She had lived next door to Dorothy, right?

Impatient yowling from Spot interrupted Hansel as he tied his shoelaces, clumsy, plaster-covered fingers making the job a chore.

"Spot, you can't come with me, there's glass in the car!" Both he and Jess talked to the cat as if they could understand one another. Well, Jess said she actually could, being all "magick-y and shit", but Hansel doubted whether that was actually a fact. After further yowling and Hansel giving up tying his laces, he scooped up Spot and placed him in the passenger seat, bag of souvenirs beside him. He could never win an argument with that cat - besides, he hadn't seen Aslan in a while.

After a swift five minute journey (That would have taken fifteen, if he'd paid heed to the stop signs and speed limits), Hansel's car came to a stop outside Lucy's apartment, and juggling both bag and energetic tabby in his arms, made his way to her front door while attempting to not fall flat on his face.

"Hi, is anybody home? I come bearing souvenirs! And also a cat..." Announcing himself at the door - rather than just barging in, despite it remaining ajar. As he spoke, his accent caused his speech to trip up somewhat, "V"'s coming out like "W"'s.
