I can't believe I've stuck myself with three girls for all of next year who think screaming, shrieking and making sex noises consists of banter. -_-

Bio

Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.

So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:

I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.

If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

  • Lord of the Rings Universe (Including The Hobbit)
  • Dragon Age series
  • Elder Scrolls
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • Star Trek (I'd love a Discovery one right now!)
  • Star Wars (Specifically the time around the Prequels; while I shan't get into the whole Prequel/Original war on which is better, roleplaying makes for more excitement in the prequel era. Clone Wars guys, c'mon!)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Fringe
  • Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)
  • Norse Mythology
  • Marvel
  • Left 4 Dead
  • The Walking Dead (Or any Post-Apocalypse Roleplay, really.)
  • 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series
  • House of Night Series
  • True Blood
  • Deus Ex
  • Blood Ties
  • The Vampire Diaries (I admittedly abandoned the show and books when the plot got too boring, but I still like the Universe. I'd join a roleplay based in it, if it had original characters, that is.)
  • Pacific Rim

Aaannndd I'll stop the list here before I go on forever. Basically there's a lot, particularly in the realm of fantasy. Hit me up if you want me in your roleplay, of if you'd like to do a 1x1 based around any of those areas, or even some additional ones if you think I'd be interested. I love original plots and Universes too, especially if they're done well.

When I'm free to write it, Roze will probably head back to the elevator to see if she can help the wounded.
Only a rather short post for Roze, but at least I've got something up. Went for her attacking the steam pipe rather than go for the valves, considering how she's already on the kill list of the nasty robot - staying as far away as possible seemed safer. I only hope the dice rolls agree with me. :/

EDIT: Well darn, serves me right for not reading other people's posts. Guess Roze is going for the valves after all. fuck.
"Why do giant things keep wanting to kill me?" This particular thought was the only thing buzzing around Roze's head as the Centurion set it's eyes on her; bits of the ashlander it had just obliterated still dripping from it's hammer. She had frozen in fear of imminent death for a moment, breaking out of it immediately when she realised the Centurion had become stuck. From what Roze could gather of the garbled conversation around her, this could work to their advantage - taking out the Dwemer monstrosity with the very thing that aided in it's functioning; steam. From where she stood she caught sight of bronzed valves sticking out of the pipes. Upping the pressure of those things would likely cause some ruptures down the line... perhaps even where the centurion stood. Would a sudden, possibly explosive blast of steam do the trick? And furthermore, would it be worth the risk of getting so close to the damned thing just to get to the valves? It still seemed particularly angry (Did these things even feel emotion? Gods, she hoped not - that would just make things awkward for both parties.) towards herself, so getting close was not a rather favourable option for the young rogue.

Thankfully, it seemed she and the others were in luck. Due to a well-placed shot of magic from Niernen, a pipe above the centurion ruptured, sending down clouds of steam that all but engulfed the thrashing mechanic. Roze let out a slight sigh of relief - the valves would (hopefully) be safer to turn now, but the flailing centurion still posed a threat. Deciding this was time again to put her sneak to good use, Roze got down into a crouch, heading towards the closest valve to herself, on the right of the Centurion. Hopefully it had lost it's targeting system - or whatever in Oblivion it was that it used - and wasn't taking any notice of her. No way of finding out until it attacked, so she crept silently towards the valve anyway. Hopefully if it turned on her, Sagax would jump on it's back and start riding it like a bucking horse. That would surely get it's attention.

Grunting slightly from exertion, Roze found that the steam had been useful in more ways than one - the valve she was attempting to turn clearly hadn't been touched in decades, perhaps even centuries. As such, it wasn't turning much - however, the steam in the air must have loosened up it's gears somehow, and after a few tense seconds of pushing on it, the valve began to turn. A strange noise began emanating from the pipes the more she turned; a high-pitched whining that only increased alongside the pressure. Once she began to hear the clunking, groaning sounds of metal bending to far beyond it's capabilities, Roze rushed away from the valve as quickly as she could still in a crouch, managing to put a good amount of space between her and the pipe before it ruptured, in a manner very similar to the one above the Centurion. However, the tank above it also seemed to be groaning under the pressure too - the small fissure made in the pipe didn't seem to be good enough. Roze watched on from the shadows with bated breath, hoping the construct would collapse right on top of the centurion. At this point, surely the group deserved some good luck?
Will get Roze's post done as soon as I wake up in the morning - hopefully it isn't updated in the next six hours.
@MacabreFox

No need to ask, go ahead and pop them in - we can't leave poor Brona enduring freezing nights without any cover!
@Apokalipse
No problemo, just double-checking you're still with us.

@Necroknight
Thanks for letting me know! Best of luck with your other RPs.
@Zelosse
Fair enough - just in case your character isn't made by the point of the IC moving on into the gate, your character will be introduced when the group closes the gate and gets down to the forward camp at the foot of Kvatch. Saves you catching up on posts, and it also won't matter how long your CS takes to make. Thanks for your interest!

Check in, @LeonVon and @Apokalipse.

Do I still have your interest, ladies and gents? Please let me know, 'tis only common courtesy. I won't blame you for losing interest, but don't leave us hanging around.
@Leidenschaft
First of all, great characters! Impressed you got two of them done so quickly. They're both great, but you may want to add or change some things in the skills section. For both Engel and Renart, they don't have many skills - I've mentioned on the OP how many you can have in each section, so feel free to add some. For Renart particularly, I think Speechcraft would come in handy, as it's often learnt hand in hand with mercantile. Also, what with the mention of tools for fletching in his equipment, I'd make that a skill as well. Then he'd be able to make bolts on the road.

For Engel, again, you may want to add some more skills in. It's optional, of course, but it may come in handy. Ah, also I'm wondering if it's realistic for him to be an expert in one-handed without any training, at just the age of 30. Of course, if Renart has given him some tips as they've travelled, that'll sort that problem out easily.

For the both of them, there skills of 1H/2H and Blade/Blunt will be together as one skill, so that opens up another slot for you. When one learns how to wield a one-handed blade for instance, they learn the one-handed technique and the blade technique simultaneously. Therefore, we've made it the same skill. For Renart, it'll be One-Handed Blunt as one skill, and for Engel it'll be One-Handed Blunt and Two-Handed Blunt as separate skills. It's explained more in the first OOC post, take a look if you haven't already.

Anyhoo, once you've looked all that over, you can stick them both in the characters tab! Welcome aboard, Schaft.

@macabrefox
Brona looks awesome! Likewise with schafty, her skills will be paired together - One-Handed Blades. Other than that, I can find no faults with her. Into the character tab she goes!

Feel free to join us on the discord for some shitposting. :)
@Leidenschaft

Definitely entertain the idea. In fact, I'd say you should go as far as making the characters! XD glad to have you on board.
