Eventually, though reluctantly making her way into the cafeteria. She watched the kids in line but had packed her own lunch today, unsure if she would have liked anything offered at the school. Looking at the food on offer though she realised her worries had been unfounded. Apparently the private school prided themselves on gourmet lunches. Still, after looking around she moved to sit over on her own in the corner of the lunch room. Now for most of the day Summer had her head down, trying not to draw attention to herself of be noticed. Now though, she felt a little more confident and actually looked around. Already she could make out the clique tables. The popular kids, the jocks, the nerds, as her eyes scanned over the room however they fell on one figure, walking over to a table with another group of students. Unconsciously she stood and began walking over to him, her hazel eyes fixed on that mop of black hair, completely forgetting about her lunch on her table. At first she thought maybe she had been mistaken. Even as she got closer she still wasn’t sure. It had been so long and he looked so different after all these years. Approaching the boy shyly, Summer tried to move into a position where she could see his eyes clearly. “Dick?” She asked quietly, looking at him hopefully. “Dick Grayson?”
It was a warm morning in Gotham City. The summer was coming to an end, so the air wasn’t dry or unpleasant and held the slightest chill to it, a sign of the oncoming autumn. Still she pulled at the school tie uncomfortably, gripping the strap of her bad a little tighter as she walked up to the large, very intimidating building. All around her students walked past her, happily chatting to their friends after summer break, completely oblivious to her discomfort and nervousness. It was strange being so intimately close to so many strangers. True, the circus was always crowded but she knew each and every person there, trusted them. Here any time someone came too close to her she cringed slightly, as if afraid that they might suddenly attack her. Summer wasn’t shy perse, just a little unsure of how to act around people. In the halls she was bumped and pushed as other students walked past her and she spent a lot of her time feeling and looking very lost. She, by some small miracle, managed to find her locker and put her bag inside, happy to be rid of the weight and extra bulk before taking out her schedule and trying to figure out where and what class she was actually supposed to be attending. Through some small miracle she managed to make it to her first class without being late, then again she’d prepared for it by giving herself a lot of time to account for getting lost. The school was big, but well designed, so it wasn’t that hard to find her classes as the day went on. Regardless she was more than happy when lunch rolled around and she was given a moment to just take a breath and not have to worry about being late to her next class because she was lost or being suffocated by the hoards of students.
Also I totally forgot about the Teen Titans until you brought them up haha. My bad.
Oh noes! I wrote up the first post but forgot to actually post it hah. I just finished up my music lesson so it should be up within the hour. Sorry if it's not that great or long, I am absolutely awful at first posts.
Name: Summer Morre Age: 17 Appearance: (I tried looking for pictures but I couldn't find any I liked that weren't celebrities) Short in height, about 5'2" with an athletically lean body Summer has elbow length dark caramel brown hair with a light wave to it framing a round, childish face with large hazel eyes. History: Training in gymnastics from a young age Summer joined Haly's Circus when she was only seven, becoming part of the contortion act and using her gymnastic skills to perform difficult flips and tricks. Due to her small size she was also used in the acrobalance. She quickly began friends with Dick, due to their similar ages however after the death of his parents they were forced to separate as she continued to travel with the circus. However upon entering her last year of schooling she decided to concentrate on her studies and moved in with her Mother in Gotham City and is about to start attending Gotham Academy (At least I think that's the school).
CLOSED RP between myself and Navy_Vet So I was thinking that maybe my character knew yours from back in his circus days when they were friends. Do you think that will be okay? I figured if I give them a little history it will make them wanting to be friends a little more realistic.
Sounds good to me :) I'm about to start work but I'll get everything set up when I get home.
In a valley, nestled in between grassy hills and small forests on the edge of the map rests a small town, isolated and rarely visited it has been left alone for centuries to make its own way in the world. It’s a quiet little town, cold for most of the year as it’s so far south and mostly life there is peaceful and quiet. There is only one rule the entire town knows and follows religiously. Do not cross the wall to the south. For even further south than the southernmost town on the map as a wall, a great ancient wall of stone, weathered over the centuries it still stands, but has weakened in places, leaving holes. For on the other side of that wall is an ancient and forgotten city that is said to be the home of daemons. No one knows what they look like, for no one has ventured past the wall and returned alive. Their existence may be questioned all together if it weren’t for the demonic noises that can sometimes be heard in the night when the air is still. So what happens when, on a fated winter’s night, a young human passes through the wall and returns the next morning alive? What did they see on the other side? How did they survive? What secrets did they uncover? Over the next few months everything they’ve grown up to believe will be challenged and a friendship will bloom in the most unlikely of places. I’m looking for someone to play the adventurous human from the town (you can be either a female or male, I’m happy to play off either). I’ll be playing a being from the other side of the wall. This will be a story about uncovering history (the false history of the RP of course), friendship, adventure, possible eventual romance. Feel free to PM me or post here with interest or questions and, as always, thank you for your time <3
Looking for someone to play Robin/ Dick Grayson (or whichever Robin if you have a preference can even bean OC Robine if you'd like) in his mid teens as he finds he starts falling for a new girl to his school. Throughout the RP he’ll struggle with the usual teenage boy things, romance, school, but has the added pressure of continuing to play as Batman’s sidekick and finds having a secret identity is a little harder when you have someone you care about. As he finds himself slipping up a few times what happens when the bad guys find out about the Boy Wonder’s little crush? So looking for someone to play Robin, I’d like to play the girl and I’d probably play Batman just so I can be there for both aspects of Robin’s life. To ensure that we’re not limited by preset events in the DC universe around this time I think it best if we just ignore them so we can play as we please without having to worry about missing preset events. I’d also like to have a little fun with this, so clichés are free game! (That is if you’d like. If you’d prefer to keep it serious then that’s fine too) There will also be very dark moments in this RP too, I’m planning to make the villains fairly serious, more like the movies and less comical than they tended to be in the cartoons. Please feel free to PM me or post here with interest or questions and thank you for your time <3
As the siblings unplugged from the sim each stood there for a few moments, removing their respective helmets and staring at the other. The others left the room and South let out a loud sigh. “Go on, get it over with.” “Okay fine. What the hell did you think you were doing back there?!” South opened her mouth to speak but North quickly interrupted. “No, you know what? I can tell you what you were doing back there. You were going to get yourself fucking killed in an effort to save Cal, who’d made his own decision to suicide it.” “Oh please! If it were you, you would have done the exact same thing.” South replied, though her words had nowhere near the anger of North’s. She sounded more upset than anything. “No, I wouldn’t have. Okay, in a real life mission I would have done everything I could have done to get him out of there safely. But that was a sim. It’s different-” “No!” South suddenly snapped back. “You can’t think like that. Yeah, it wasn’t real but that doesn’t mean you can treat it differently to a real life situation. All that will do is cause you to hesitate when it really matters. I’m not as experienced as you are in this, I get that. So I need to treat everything like it’s really life or death-” “-and because of your decision you almost got both you and Cal killed.” North snapped back instantly. “You don’t have any field experience South, you can’t kill people, simulated or no. You can’t just ignore orders. That’s not the way it works. You don’t know how to drive a warthog. Not in real life. You don’t get it do you? Cal made his decision, a dumb decision and there were dozens of others he could have made that would have put him in a better position than the one he’d ended up in. It was stupid of him and because of it you were put in danger too.” “Which was my own choice, you can’t blame Cal.” “I don’t. I blame you. You acted as if your life was worth risking to save him.” Once again south moved to interrupt but North quickly stopped her. “I can’t lose you okay!” He instead shouted at her. “Not… not again. If anything happened to you… what do I have left? Don’t… don’t ever do anything that risky again. Please.” South looked at North for a long while as the reality that he was right sunk in. If she had been in his position she would have reacted the same way. Turning, tears welling in her eyes the girl stormed out of the room, passing the others without a word before she began running down the hall, turning a corner and disappearing from sight. North emerged a few moments later, looking tired. “I need a drink.” He said with a small smirk.
