Hatter~
Paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork. Oh how the Hatter hated such tedious affairs. Sheets covered his desk, overflowing from around it in piles like a sea of white. To onlookers the area probably appeared to look as though a natural disaster recently struck, no order to be found in the mass. For Marcus D. Hatter, on the other hand, every slip was in its place, and every place had its slip. If one of the White Kings men came in in this moment the Hatter could produce whatever they desired in moments.

Closing his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose, Hatter groaned while leaning back in his seat simultaneously. Tossing the papers in the air with his free hand he couldn’t keep from complaining, “Had anyone of mentioned I would be drowning in papers for the rest of mile life just to own a town I would have simply called them mad! I should have stuck with hats but NO I decided to work myself to death…”

Rising from the massive chair he placed on his pea coat, grabbing hat from a peg and placing it on his head. “I must get away from this room, it’s stifling.” Gliding down the hall he muttered to himself, “If only I had been born a disappearing cat I wouldn’t have so little to do and so much time to do it in…” catching himself in the phrase he laughed, pondering, “No that’s not right. Flip it, reverse it. That’s what I am.” At last, he made it to the main hall, yelling to the dormouse he was going on a stroll to patrol the town. Today was going to be curious; he could tell.

He waited for the massive mansion doors to open and made his way across the vast courtyard, his shoes clicking against the cobblestone as he stepped onto the street. He already decided to check each of the shops to make sure all was in order. More than likely a few store owners would talk to him and then his executive duties would be done for the day. He had nothing to check in with the King about and the Queen herself had not sent any scouts as of late, or rather the Hatter knew about that is. There was no need. There hadn't been an 'Alice' to appear in sometime now.

Momentarily, he was thrown into a deep pit of despair, not something all that uncommon with the ever varying Hatter. The original Alice. He could remember the first day she appeared here as if it just happened. She was one of the bravest girls he ever came into contact with, slaying the Jabberwock as if it were nothing but a balloon to pop. How many times had the two walked down this very road together laughing with one another over peculiarities. In the end, he was not enough for her and she returned to the real world, something he could never wrap his head around. Perhaps it was one of the many things to cause him to be such a mad fellow.

As the memory passed, Hatter's mood once again changed to that of indifference then joy; similar to a pendulum he could never remain in one emotion for long. With this change of pace his mind wandered to what he would do with the little free time he had, deciding to himself that after he was done patrolling he would stop by Katrina’s. I do believe today is her unbirthday….as is it MY unbirthday. This calls for a celebration. His mind span in circles at all the possibilities, but first he must tend to his duties. Today would be curiouser and curiouser indeed.

Personality:

Katrina is a kind soul with a big heart. If there's one thing she isn't too good at, it's being serious and solemn. It's hard for her to rein in her emotions, to restrain herself. She's warm, friendly and very affectionate. She likes to make people laugh as much as she likes laughing herself. She has a confident aura, and a comfortable one. People warm up to her quickly, because she's far from being shy. She is way too nice at times and it can be problematic as sometimes this attribute is abused. She realizes this and she knows she needs to work on it (but she also knows that if someone needs help that she will say yes).

She tries to act like a lady but anyone that knows her well enough knows that she has a bit on a tomboy side to her and that she doesn’t mind getting a little messy every now and then. Katrina is the worst liar of all time and any time she tries to lie, no matter how nonchalant she tries to be, her voice jumps up an octave.

Katrina loves the darkness and often takes midnight strolls. She doesn’t feel the need to always be in control of life, though at times she can be very independent. Kat can be far too stubborn at times and if you know her well enough you know that is the truth. This can make her rash at times, and leaves her with some regrets. She loves to daydream and this is why she is so happy in Wonderland at all times, because her life is a dream. She can be very playful and teasing, something Chess knows rather well. She generally always has one or two inside jokes running around. She loves surprises, and the Wonderland version of Christmas is her favorite time of year. She especially looks forward to the balls that occur right around that time.

She loves to sing and her voice is part of the reason that the garden reacts so well to her. Singing flowers definitely prefer someone who can actually carry a tune without the use of a bucket. When she is doing something absentmindedly you will find her humming instead. Katrina can be embarrassed relatively easily and if she is caught singing she will blush bright red. Katrina carries around a lot of doubt of herself deep down and does her best to hide this major flaw. She’d rather lock emotions up and do her best to be happy. Unfortunately, every now and then, these fears escape in the form of hot tears in the solitude of the night. She never lets it get her down though.

'History':

No one is really sure where Katrina came from, not even Katrina herself. She just simply appeared one day, when she was a young girl, and she was wandering in the woods unable to find her way. That was she came across the young Cheshire, whom helped her find her way and they were close ever since. They often when on mischievous adventures together, for a trip with the Cheshire cat can be nothing else. The two quickly became best friends.

Growing up she was raised in the white castle as she had no other place to go for at the time the Hatter himself was also still young. It wasn’t until she became a teenager that she requested to move to the garden areas close to the woods she has always been mesmerized with. This was allowed as Katrina was responsible enough to take care of herself. Over the years she has planted numerous seeds making the garden what it is today. She has a strong connection with the plants many of their emotions can be directly related to Kat’s.

Katrina lives in a small cottage just big enough for two or so people. Sometimes she allows ‘Alices’ to live with her and work in the garden with her but most the time she is alone. She loves having visitors for the reason, but as the garden is on the edge of town it is not often she sees a new face. Luckily, Chess comes by often enough to visit her that she never truly gets lonely. That and the fact she works in the bakery in town and is well known for her delicacies. Her garden reacts to her alone now and is defensive over her. Something that can be problematic for a wandering ‘Alice’.

Hatter is a vague and mysterious kind of person with more layers than an onion. On the outside he can appear to be slightly hard-shelled and rough around the edges; it doesn't take too terribly long to realize underneath it all is a gentle caring spirit. This can easily be seen through the efforts he goes through in order to care for each of the 'Alices'. He can be viewed as a smooth talker and he appears to be a gentleman on the outside. Most the time the Hatter does his best to not be outspoken on most matters, however, this means that when he does speak business that it is serious. From the outer perspective it would seem as though the world is his oyster and that all the cards are in his hands, but looks are not always what they seem.

Underneath everything, at his core is a hidden (most the time) mess. If Hatter is cooped up for too long or denied any type of freedoms that he desires he will quickly go completely mad. This stems to his childhood, which consisted of constant explosions in temper, the as he has aged, his anger matured into a more passive type of aggression. Still, at times when it all becomes too much, his old temper will come out as hot as coals. He tries his best to keep this from happening, and thus far he has yet to explode on any 'Alices'. His fears do a good job at keeping many of his emotions at bay, but they too cause an issue locked away deep down. When in a fight he generally never loses and his intellect is a big reason behind this.

Still, though the Mad Hatter's shell may seem impenetrable, everything has its weak spot, one just needs to know how to get to it. Underneath it all is a soft, caring, and warm type of personality. It just takes the right type of person or right situation to bring this out. This can be seen within the Hatter's random spells of over protectiveness. He keeps a keen eye out for those that are important to him and he will go out of his way to do something special for them. He is actually quite sensitive and intuitive to his surroundings.

Hatter loves his tea time and has a struggle for tardiness. He can be very defensive over what he deems belongs to him. He tends to fall into spells of melancholy but he tries to avoid people at these times so they cannot be seen as a weakness. In more playful times he is apse to be sillier and light hearted. He is a hardcore prankster during such occasions. All in all he actually is a pretty easy going kind of guy and is usually up for anything.

Finally, he is a hopeless romantic ( he tries to hind this but it comes out in the little things he does). He doesn't like this about himself because it got him hurt once (yet some habits you just can't give up and he will probably never be any less hopeless or romantic).

'History':

The Mad Hatter has always been in Wonderland, although a lot of his history he cannot remember. What he can remember is the fire to his father’s shop which took his parents lives. Before that time he was only known as the Hatter, but afterwards he would go into his spells in personality twists. Since then he has been known as the Mad Hatter. Over time he, with the help of the White King, he was able to build his first hat shop and eventually was able to build his own town.

Hatter stopped aging when he turned 21 years old. No one understands why the time in Wonderland quit moving forward it just did. Many speculate this phenomenon correlates with the holes appearing between dimensions starting with the appearance of the original Alice. Since then the weakening borderlines have allowed more and more strangers through. They Wonderlanders simply refer to the visitors as ‘Alices’ no matter if they are male or female.

The original Alice came when the Hatter first turned 21 and had just begun his mini empire. She was only a bit younger and she stole his heart away. The time they spent together could not be measured. Naturally, when she decided to pick the real world over him it broke his heart. Now he is much more careful, though he does know that one day he will love again. Until then his job is to help the new members of Wonderland while they are here on their temporary (unfortunately) stay.

The Mad Hatter has a problem in falling for the girl ‘Alices’ but rather than allow himself to catch feelings he often just flirts to avoid getting hurt. He is a bit of a hard catch. Also the term mad has a double meaning including both his anger and is craziness.

It also should be noted that the Hatter is an excellent pianist as well as dancers. He often enjoys teaching one to one classes before a ball.

Sarah is a fun loving kind of girl who you will almost always find laughing and smiling. There are few things that she takes extremely seriously causing her to be a generally bubbly person. She has an unquenchable sense of adventure, that more often than not gets her into trouble....as well as her friends *ahem that's how she got here in the first place*. (She seriously can almost talk someone into anything) Still, they are definitely memorable moments. Sarah loves to tell jokes and kid around, but she does take her work seriously.

Sarah loves to make people happy and therefore she will do almost anything for her friends. She can't stand to see a person in need or someone who is hurting. She has a sixth sense that lets her know if something is wrong with someone, even if they think they are fooling her. She generally makes the mistake of volunteering herself as tribute which sometimes leads her to getting the short end of the stick. But, in the end she is a reliable person and that is a quality she enjoys in herself.

She's always eager to help if she can but Sarah has little patience for unpleasant people. She believes that a bad attitude can taint those of the people subjected to it and she hates it. She's not afraid to point out if someone is in the wrong and she'll speak her mind freely. Despite usually being so sweet-natured, if something ticks her off you will see a very different side to her. She's not afraid to say what's on her mind and has a rather sharp tongue once she's all riled up. She's not a violent person...for the most part at least.

Sarah is completely accident prone. Seriously, hanging out with her makes one consider life insurance on the spot. Although, this is slightly exaggerated she does tend to have this affect. Her patience can be thin at times but she is also stubborn and passionate. She is fiercely protective over what or who she cares about. She will not give up on something she has started if she knows that it is possible for her to finish it. She doesn't like to fail others, or herself and her determination is often contagious. She's not a perfectionist but she will always give her best when she can.

Sarah can sometimes be a sort of a fashionista, without all of the sass. She loves clothes and she loves being given the opportunity to make someone feel beautiful. Sometimes she is sarcastic but her sarcasm is EXTREMELY obvious and doesn't have a serious motive behind it. Most the time it occurs because she is joking around. She can be a bit of a prankster especially to her friends. She loves to paint and dance, but in reality her dancing is more silly and wacky than eloquent.

When it comes down to it Sarah highly values three traits; loyalty, honesty, and sarcasm. Loyalty isn't blind or completely steadfast, but she feel's safer knowing that her friends have her back and are willing to stand up for her. Honesty is crucial to any relationship in her mind, though she will stretch the truth if necessary. Sarcasm though, is just something she greatly enjoys, so if you can't handle it and dish it out in return, you likely hate her.

'History':

Sarah has always had a normal life and there is nothing really extraordinary that has happened to her. The most excitement she has ever face was when her family had just moved from their house in Texas to one in Virginia. Though she resented losing her friends she decided to take this opportunity as the first step in breaking out of her rut. Yes they still lived in the middle of nowhere but now their home overlooked beautiful scenery. Shades of greens dancing in the wind as if the trees themselves were welcoming her. As an artist this was the muse she had always been wanting.

With all of the ups there must also be a down. Her hassle included her dad accidentally putting all of her art supplies in the attic. Sarah only discovered this after a good ten minutes of harassing her dad on the whereabouts. Making her through the dusty boxes she found the one with her name plastered across the front. Rather than taking the entire box down she decided to dig through it until finding her art bag. Pulling it out she slipped falling backwards, and landing on her bum.

It was only from this perspective that she saw a light across the room. Lacking all common sense, her curiosity took over, something she is prone too, and she went towards the odd glow and while moving some boxes out of the way she found a tiny door. Rather than having the normal reaction of high tailing it out of there she went through it because I mean it is a magical glowing tiny door….why not? She found herself crawling smack dab into a hat shop in Wonderland. Shortly afterwards she found the Hare and was brought to the Hatter Estate.

Welcome to Wonderland, a place where dreams seemingly become reality (that is if your dreams involve somehow ending up in a topsy turvy land in the company of the Mad Hatter Estates). Though no one knows how the lines between Earth and Wonderland become blurred we do know these wink links allow for portals. Still whether you came to this place through a small attic door or by a hole in the floor, each of the ‘Alices’ are always welcome. If one finds themselves stuck in Wonderland, the best thing you can do to pass the time is just enjoy the ride. From theme parks to being royally attired for a ball, there is never a dull moment.
Unfortunately, all is not 'happily ever afters' and rainbows as Wonderland is in the middle of a long waging civil war. Two siblings fight for a right to the crown. The White King prefers to ignore the new arrivals, his sole focus based on his kingdom. The Red King, on the other hand tries to kidnap and imprison the ‘Alices’ in the hopes of unlocking the way back to the real world where he can release his dark magic.
Don't be disheartened as you are in the Hatter's good hands. Enjoy your stay, and most importantly don’t get caught.

'Home of Alices'

Welcome one. Welcome all to the crazy Hatter’s Estate halls. Don’t be down-hearted, don’t you fear. You’ll soon find out, we’re all mad here. This is the place where all the ‘Alices’ live, owned by the renowned Mad Hatter. Both the Hare and the Door-mouse (people) are available to the ‘Alices’ disposal and are the estate’s personal help.
Within the mansion itself there is a bedroom hall for the ladies (East Wing) which is separate from the West Wing where the boy’s dormitory is found. On the first floor one will find the diner area the general layout similar to that of a tea parlor. Large windows allow for easy access to the beautiful scenery. If we move down to the ground floor there is an indoor pool area. Other accessories of the home include private balconies, a roof garden, ballroom, a grand library, and studio rooms.
Throughout the year the Hatter will throw balls as well as other various events relating to ‘Earth’ holidays including (but not limited to) Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas parties. Once a thought comes into his head he will send out invitations and post the idea in the grand hall.
The Hatter also owns the town in which the estate resides. In the town there are many shops including a hat and clothing shop ran by the Hatter (a good place for one to find work), Bakery shops, Trinket shops, among many more. If you need a job and don't know where to go he is your man.

Katrina’s Garden:

The Garden

Candied Rose

Katrina’s garden is a place of magic and beauty. The trees grow candied leaves, and bare the sweetest fruits. In the middle of the garden is a waterfall that flows out a liquid with no description; it simply tastes like whatever you want it to, from sodas to milkshakes there is no limitation The roses grow multicolored and each color is a different flavor. Snazzle bushes grow sour candies of every variety. If you have a sweet tooth of any kind, Katrina’s garden is the place to fill it.
An ‘Alice’ must be wary of what they place in their mouth, as not all of the plants are edible. Many of the flowers in the garden are alive in more ways than one. They can be rather full of gossip so one must heed before taking anything to heart. Still, they are extraordinarily loyal and if you befriend them they will protect you from scouts of the Red King(they have no fear in telling a lie or two).
Katrina herself lives in a small garden home and is often in the company of the Cheshire cat. She loves having visitors so if you are feeling down-hearted, want to be surrounded by nature, or just want to have tea her home is always open. If you are unable to find her here she is probably at her bakery in town. If you please you may find work with her either in the garden or at her bakery.

Cheshire’s Woods (Wanderer’s Doom) :

Cheshire lives in the Wanderer’s Doom, a place of secrecy and darkness. No one daring to travel in has ever found their way out, at least not on their own. The trees are cruel and they like to get wanderers lost and play tricks on all who enter. One must be wary of all illusions as things are not always as they seem. Only the Cheshire cat, with his ability to disappear, has ever been able to figure out the mystery of these woods. His home lies in the center and the only way to ever get to it is if lead by the Cheshire himself. Next to a waterfall, his home consist of an upper house, where Chess actually lives and a lower section which is ironically a guest home.
The only other creature in the woods are the dangerous of all is the twelve foot tall 'man-eating' gummy bears that call this region their home. Just kidding, they are deliciously harmless….just ask Chess. (;

White Castle:

Castle of Light

This is the location of the White King. He runs all of Wonderland and though his heart is good there is much secrecy here too. There is little known about this area as it is suggested the ‘Alices’ do not get involved with the royalty’s affairs. Wonderland has been involved in a long civil war, although the spats have not been as dangerous as some have assumed. The two siblings are a mystery. However, we do know that the White King fights against his brother for the better good. If you ever have any problems above the Hatter’s grasp this would be the next safe option…but should only be a last resort.

Red Castle:

Castle of Hearts

This is the home of the Red King (a devilishly handsome man who seems to be even more so personality wise). Try not to fall under a spell of love if you find yourself face to face with him. He captures ‘Alices’ and locks them away in hopes of discovering how they enter and leave Wonderland. He likes to make the girls fall for his adding them into his “Collection of Hearts”. Always stay on your toes. On off chance he doesn’t lock you away he will undoubtedly use you for ransom. However, if you fall under his graces you will find yourself in one of the most beautiful and eloquent places in Wonderland. There is no palace filled with more luxuries than that of hearts.

The usual except: if we have a lack of a certain character, that character can be god-modded. Also, if you don’t reply for 10 consecutive days, you character can be temporarily modded long enough to free up stuck character. (I will pm you what we did so you won't be in the blind) Finally, if the replies have to be at least one-two well developed paragraphs (preferably two but meh) minimum.
